I’m a field forester and wear these gaiters extensively. I’ve had this pair for 2 years and they have help up exceptionally well to the rugged conditions I expose them to. One of the buttons has popped off but I think that was operator error and not a design flaw. I like these gaiters so much, I purchased another pair just to put into inventory when I finally have to retire this pair. Highly recommend these if your in the market!!

I got these for off track bush bashing around Perth to protect my legs from scratchy and thorny vegetation and any snakes that I accidentally surprise (since I hike in comfy 3/4 exercise leggings). They worked great for this purpose and didn’t feel too hot and didn’t slip around or slide down. Also ended up wearing them for the dunes and swap southern section of the Bibbulmun track and although I hadn’t been at all concerned about snakes, I admit they made me feel much more comfortable than my hiking buddies were when we encountered snakes or had to swamp bash around a track obstacle.

Took these gaiters on a 3 day hiking trip in Namadgi NP. They were easy to use and comfortable to wear, even on a hot day. The strap on under the foot is tough to adjust so I just left it and it was fine. I was really glad I had them as some of the track was narrow or had logs to climb over. I placed the order on a Friday night and had the gaiters by Tuesday and the fast service from Snowys was very much appreciated.

My partner and I each wore a pair of these over wet, muddy and snowy tracks and they came out in awesome condition. Kept our legs and feet dry and clean. Also protected against the low spikey bushes.I am a petite woman and the size small was easily adjusted to fit me properly/sufficiently.Yes, the strap is firm, but that gave me the confidence that it wouldn't break under foot.
Great product, have used them extensively for multiple days hiking through wet and muddy conditions, they kept everything dry while also keeping the leaches at bay. They also provide peace of mind for any snake encounters and I’ve found them to be very well fitting and breathable. For the great price at Snowy’s I would highly recommend this product to anyone who is hiking or working in the bush.
These were excellent on Overland Track. Combined with waterproof socks these kept my feet dry in lots of wet, snow and mud! Love them!
I got these as a gift from my husband for Christmas. What I really liked about them was the length of the gaiter that covers my calf as opposed to OR's gaiter. I also liked the rigidity the velcro seemed to add to the gaiter staying up on my calf and not slipping down. The major flaw in these is that there is a hard rubber plastic circle on the inside ankle of these gaiters which seems to be where the foot strap is connected to and causes abrasion. Within about 1-year a hole had developed on the inside of the ankle area. When I reached out to Sea to Summit's warrantee, their representative said, 'is extremely rare and wouldn’t fall under a manufacture warranty issue'. I got these gaiters at the last minute for my Overland walk over 6 days in March 2019 as the week before our walk the weather was really cold and wet. Delivered within a couple of days which was great. We had great warm weather during our walk and the track was not muddy at all so I could have done without them altogether. However, I thought I'd give them a try as I have never worn gaiters before. Once I figured out how to get them on they were really comfortable. We later saw a couple of tiger snakes on the track and some spiky low bushes on narrow sections of the track meant they gave my calves good protection. They are so comfortable I wore them for most of my walk. No sweating. Excellent. In the wash after and ready for my next trip!
in a group of 4 walking the Overland Track in Tasmania, 2 of us had the Quagmire Event gaiters - and we were the happiest. The weather was wet, cold and muddy. These gaiters were waterproof and kept our legs and boots dry. Other gaiters in the group were not waterproof which meant the pants underneath got wet and then the gaiters prevented them from drying out. Shorter gaiters didn't offer the same level of protection. No problem at all with the Quagmire Event. Might be hot on a warmer walk, but great for wet cold weather.
I have had been through a number of gaiters but these are by far the worst. They are hard to clip together, the clip is so bulky and clumsy that it doesn’t stay on the shoe and slips right off! Very disappointing as I love all my other Seatosummit products.
