This is definitely an investment in a quality sleeping bag for camping. The down material keeps you warm and snugged in temperatures that can drop overnight. It can me packed up nicely, lightweight and does not take up much space. It is very roomy, I am petite, female and 160 lbs, it zips up easily and does not snag. It is like cocoon shaped and air does not good to keep you warm. I amazed by the quality and craftsmanship. It is extremely soft and so comfortable. You have to remember the key is quality, comfort, comfort and warmth. In addition to being light weight so you can transport easily.

I received this sleeping bag from influenster in return for an honest review! We went camping in the sequoia national park, and I brought this sleeping bag to test it out! First of all it’s a nice looking sleeping bag, and it is very soft and light. It doesn’t take up a lot of space, and is easy to roll up and put away in the bag it comes in.I did sadly freeze in the night, but it was cold when we went, and was about to snow the day after, so I’d say this sleeping bag is more for a barn spring or summer use! I think this says to be good down to 7 C or like 45 F, but I think it was around 30s F when we were camping. Also the bag is pretty roomy, I was able to sleep on my side in it!Overall it’s a great sleeping bag, you just have to be mindful of how cold it is where you’re going to camp!

Fantastic and light weight!

Wow! Blown away by how light this is! It folds down super small if you use the compression bag it comes with or the regular uncompressed back for normal storage. It’s a decent roomy size for a mummy bag that fit both myself and husband just fine without feeling too tight. The no snag zipper is a nice bonus feature along with the ability to synch in the hood/top part. The outer material is thin but has a coating on it that makes it more durable than expected. It warmed up quickly with body heat and I have no concerns about being cold within the approved temperature range. Would recommend and excited to get more use of this as camping season picks back up!

Good if you value weight over performance
7 July 2023

The weight of this bag is awesome and if that is the most important factor then you should consider this bag (Spark 1). I have had this bag for 5 years now since purchasing it from REI. Overall I think it is best suited to cool nights around 50 degrees'ish regardless of it's 40 degree temp rating. I have paired it with thepaired it with a Therma-rest X-Therm and X-light over its life. The "Pros" are it's weight and compressibility. The "Cons" are that it sleeps cold for it's temperature rating, it fits super tight, the 1/3 zipper means you are either in or out (there is no venting or in-between measures), the zipper is of dubious quality, the baffles are large enough to allow down migration unless you meticulously re-fluff it every night, and over 5 years the "dry ... MoreThe weight of this bag is awesome and if that is the most important factor then you should consider this bag (Spark 1). It works best when day and night temps are similar and cool. The best place I used it was in the Smokies above 5.5k feet with cool days and similar nights in the kate spring. You can crawl in to warm up and then the temperature is similar over night so you don't overheat or feel cold. However I also used this bag as my middle/late - spring and summer bag on my AT Thru-Hike attempt (with a liner) and really struggled with it when we had hot days and cool nights. I would find that I would start in the liner, then when that would get cold use the bag as a blanket, and then that would get cold get into the bag (with no zipper below the waist), then overheat and sweat, and then zip the bag up and be cold the rest of the night in a semi-wet bag. I tried multiple combinations of liner vs. no liner, light base layer vs full clothes, puffy vs no puffy, etc. In the end nothing was really comfortable, but I kept the bag because it was frankly lighter than anything else in its price and size range. It kept me alive down to 35'ish degrees F (never really comfortable), but warm above 45'ish degrees.Moving forward I will likely just spring for an enlightened equipment quilt - at a much higher price point. This bag is good for what it is and if you are on a budget and want something super lightweight it is a good bag. But with most ultralight things expect to suffer some loss of comfort for the loss of ounces.

Light but not great
5 January 2024

I purchased the Spark 5 degree down bag and was excited at first. The bag weighed about an ounce less than the specifications, which was awesome until I looked closer. There is not enough down to have it spread out throughout the bag any any thickness. It has too many blank spots. Every time it is adjusted the down has to come from somewhere else. I suspect this bag was shorted on down. My other brand 25 degree bag is warmer. The zipper is very frustrating, it requires very specific angles to work and is very light duty, not much fun in the middle of the night. It is the wimpiest zipper I have ever seen on a sleeping bag. The bag is light and good to about 30 degrees compared to other bags.

Most Luxurious, Comfortable, Lightweight Material I Have Ever Felt!
2 May 2024

As an avid hiker/backpacker, I have been wanting a sleeping bag that is super light to not weigh me down and small enough to not add too much bulk on my back. I have only heard good things from the Sea to Summit brand, so I was excited to try the 30-degree Spark Down Sleeping Bag. It came with a storage bag, a smaller compression bag, a clip, and a down certification paper with tons of interesting information about the down filling. It's amazing how compressed this sleeping bag can get, and it is so super lightweight! It didn't feel like any added weight at all when attached to my backpack! It zips down about halfway, so I had plenty of room to get in it. The zipper is smooth and seems very high quality. It zips down about halfway, so I had plenty of room to get in it. The zipper is smooth and seems very high quality. It is a mummy style bag, so it's meant to be snug in the footboard area. However, I had plenty of room for my feet and legs to move around. I was afraid it would feel too restrictive for my liking, but that wasn't the case at all. I could move my legs to be about shoulder width apart. The hood cinches, which helps with warmth as well. For context, I am a 5 ft 5 in female that weighs 135 pounds, so I can see this working for a variety of people given how much extra room I had. As far as comfort, I can't even describe how pleasant this bag feels. My words when I first got in was, "Wow, this feels like liquid gold surrounding my body!" That's the only words that came to mind, but it's the best feeling material I have ever felt! It's truly amazing and makes me want to use it in my bed every night! Even though it's extremely soft, it also seems like a high-quality shell that will withstand several seasons of camping. As far as warmth, I took it outside on a cold night, about 35 degrees, just to test it out. I was still warm after quite a few minutes, so I think the 30-degree rating is spot on. Overall, I am extremely happy with this sleeping bag and totally recommend it to anyone looking to prioritize comfort, warmth, and lightweight material!

Perfect for my light hiking/camping use!
26 April 2024

This sleeping bag is high quality! You can tell Sea to Summit has really spent time to get it right. I was surprised how big of a case it came in but, was happy to note that a more compact bag was included and it does shrink down easily. They are not joking when they say you will be comfortable down to 0F. As a 5’2 female, I have more than enough room to get cozy but not too much that there I do not feel snug. There are so many great features like the pillows near the hood for support, clasps to ensure much of your face is protected and the ability to zip two together. Would for sure recommend to my other outdoorsy friends. I would say this is not “over”engineered but perfect for my use. This ensures it is not too heavy to take with me on my trips.

Premium Quality and Comfort

Our family has owned several sleeping bags throughout the years but the quality of all of them combined does not even come close to the quality of this Sea to Summit sleeping bag! With a mummy shape designed for a woman, it contours to my body leaving no room for cold air to make its way inside. The zippers are snag proof and the water repelling nylon fabric is soft, smooth, and breathable. (I still plan to purchase one of their silk-blend liners to keep the bag clean inside.)It’s incredibly lightweight- easy to fold, carry, and store; perfect for backpacking. Despite its weight, the 850+ PFC free ultra-dry down fill keeps you warm in 15°F freezing temperatures. In the past, I never would have considered spending over $500 on a sleeping bag until I received this ... MoreOur family has owned several sleeping bags throughout the years but the quality of all of them combined does not even come close to the quality of this Sea to Summit sleeping bag! With a mummy shape designed for a woman, it contours to my body leaving no room for cold air to make its way inside. This bag is amazing!
19 April 2024

I’ve slept in my share of sleeping bags to include my cold weather issued sleeping bag in the Marine Corps almost 30 years ago.The spark Down bag is amazing. To begin, I couldn’t believe how lightweight it is. It’ll be a breeze to add this to any pack. The yellow and grey color is very attractive and looks modern and high tech compared to anything I’ve used before. The sleeping bag rolls up right into it’s nice zippered carrying case with one side of mesh to allow air circulation. The bag even included a test report to show a detailed list of its contents.I’m quite impressed with the quality so far. I’m certainly going to be visiting their site to shop for other outdoor gear.

This is a very WARM
14 November 2023

This is a very WARM sleeping bag. It is not for mild weather, it is so warm. BUT, it is GREAT for very cool to cold weather. It is VERY LIGHTWEIGHT, and compresses down very small. However, the compression bag that comes with it, it is so small to begin with that it makes it hard to get the bag all in there. So, I bought another compression bag to do away with that frustration. I do not like that the zipper does not go all the way to the end, but leaves about an 18" toe box. It would be nice if it went to the end, so I could use it more for a blanket in mild weather. I like that it came with a breathable storage bag. Quality is very good. I am 6 feet tall and 175lbs and fit great in it. If you can afford it, it is definitely worth it.
