Used sleeping bag on Earthwatch Expedition “Walking with African Wildlife” during South African winter. Compact enough I flew only with carryon, everyone else lugged checked baggage. Plenty warm for occasional nights below 50; full zip allowed comfort on warm nights.

I bought this as a warm weather top quilt to my hammock set up. I have a very warm underquilt and don't need much warmth on top. I am not so impressed and have named this my 'indoor' quilt. When you hold this up to the light, most baffles have big empty places with no down. Even when I spend a few minutes trying to spread them out... The open design is cool, but not that functional. The only time the quilt isn't 1/3 zipped and tied at one end is when I want to sleep two people under this. I ended up getting a cottage industry quilt that has no zippers and filled baffles and I love it. The only time I can risk taking a quilt that doesn't have a consistent warm profile is when I am travelling and sleeping indoors. I got this quilt to fill all my warm weather niches ... I got this quilt to fill all my warm weather niches and it doesn't really do a great job at any of them. 3 stars because the quality of material is solid, but needs more down to at least have a single feather in all spaces.

Needed a super light weight compress-able sleeping bag for bike packing the CO tow path unsupported. Volume of my bike bags is limited. Traveler was perfect for the humid conditions I road in. Unzipped it like a quilt first night. Second night was colder so had it half zipped. Stuffed it away in handle bar pack around my sleeping pad. Was going to give it to my girl friend and take back my REI light weight sleeping bag she 'borrowed' for keeps. But I'm keeping the S2S Traveler for me. Planning next packing adventures. Can't wait to use it again.

I've used this bag (quilt) twice for bikepacking trips. The temp ratings are good- temp dropped a bit below 50F and I added a couple of layers to stay warm enough. On a recent trip to Vermont I had a down vest for added warmth as well. The bag is very roomy and the foot closure works well. It packs down to nothing and is very lightweight. It does exactly what I wanted and the price was right.
This is my second time buying the Traveller Sleeping bag. I liked it so much I bought another one.I love how small this packs down, it's actually shocking how little it gets when inside the included compression stuff sack. It's easy to fit in a pack for camping and backpacking, or luggage for travel. I used this same quilt a few years ago on a campervan road trip around Iceland. It was perfect for that and any other overland travel.I've also used it as my sleeping bag while camping on hot summer nights in my tent and hammock. The closure and cinch system adds versatility. I've used it as a sleeping bag, or trail quilt (closed footbox, open top), and just as a regular blanket. It adapts to what I need. If you're looking for a lightweight, packable sleeping bag ... The compressed size and weight are very appealing. But what I like about this product over a standard quilt is that I can use it as a sleeping bag of sorts. Unzip and use it as a blanket, or zip it when the weather gets chilly and make a bag. It even has bungees on top and bottom to seal out drafts on windy nights or leave the bungees undone and give your feet some breathing room. I have taken it on three trips now and so far impressed with the durability, and flexibility. I am not exactly kind to my gear, but all my Sea to Summit gear has treated me well over the years, including this little guy. I bought the 50F version and have used it down to 50 no problem. Good summer and fringe season bag.
I received this sleeping bag from seatosummit & Influenster in exchange for my honest review. 1st of all I think this is the prettiest sleeping bag I’ve even seen!! It’s also the softest, most comfortable!! The material almost feels like silk. It’s a down sleeping bag!! I didn’t even know there was such a thing!! It’s so so soft!! It’s also waterproof. It’s made from recycled polyester fabrics. It’s a hybrid that can convert into a blanket. It’s very lightweight with 2 different bags to store it in. It has a life time warranty. I am very pleased with this sleeping bag!! I feel like it’s the best there is!!
Used this bag on a 6 night backpacking trip on Isle Royale National Park in August. The bag kept me warm at night when it dipped into the low 50s. I love the versatility of this bag as I can open up the bottom of the bag as well as use it as a quilt/blanket on especially warm nights when I just want something to cover up with. Although only 650 fill down, it packs down to about the size of a nalgene (I use a 5L waterproof sea to summit compression sack) and is quite light. The prefect summer bag in my opinion
What's truly surprising about this bag is how this obvious niche escaped such a perfect solution for so, so long. Sure, there are plenty of uber light quilts, and thinner sleeping bags and at least a dozen versions of this bag/blanket from other companies. But for some reason, this strikes such an exquisite balance of weight, warmth, function and unreal squishability– it virtually disappears into your pack. I have used the 50˚F bag for almost every variant of mild/shoulder season camping as well as limited travel use. It weighs virtually nothing and is amazingly breathable for couch surfing or hostel stays. Warm enough for summer camping on its own, although pushing much past around mid/hi-40s (F) needs good socks, a hat & decent longies. Another great aspect is ... Warm enough for summer camping on its own, although pushing much past around mid/hi-40s (F) needs good socks, a hat & decent longies. Another great aspect is this is cut *just* wide enough to use as a quickie overbag for a few extra BTUs on more technical cut mummies during the shoulder season. On a less outdoor related note, I recently had abdominal surgery and used this bag exclusively for several months because it was just absolutely perfect at maintaining warmth and was so light it didn't impact my ability to get out of bed or weigh me down. Way to go design team.
I recently took this bag on a bikepacking trip in Chattahoochee National Forest. It packs down super small which is essential. I chose the 30 degree version, which was juuuust warm enough for how cold it got. It did unexpectedly dip below freezing. Two things to consider if you opt for a bag like this: 1. the foot end is actually open and closes with a draw string. I consider this a plus, especially in warmer weather, but when it gets cold, you may consider adding some insulation by covering the foot end with your down jacket or other method. 2. I used an uninsulated sleeping pad. If you intend to use this bag down to 30 degrees I would recommend pairing it with an insulated pad. I'm very comfortable in it and appreciate the large rectangular opening at the head end which suits my sleeping style better than a hooded, mummy bag.
