Great sleeping bag. Slept in it when is was 8 degrees outside and I was toasty warm.Make sure you get a good sleeping mat as that is half of your sleeping system!Packs down pretty small. About the size of a cauliflower (yes, random comparison but best size I could think of)

Best Bag for the Money Hands Down

I purchased the Trek TKII while preparing for a fall trip to the Eastern Sierras. The compressibility, weight, and warmth were the deciding factors when I bought the bag and it DID NOT disappoint. With the compression sack provided with the bag I was able to get the bag down about the size of 3 standard Nalgene bottles. The warmth it provided was incredible, I was warm and cozy down to 15 degrees (3 below the comfort level) wearing nothing but a wool base layer. The outer shell proved to be durable and water resistant as well. The separate zipper at the feet allowed me to stay warm in the bag while I shuffled around camp preparing breakfast for my companions. Pair it with the ultralight insulated pad and you have the perfect 3+ season combo. It will be traveling ... MoreI purchased the Trek TKII while preparing for a fall trip to the Eastern Sierras. Good in even the worst conditions
3 August 2021

Took this bag out along the Western Arthur's range in Tasmania for a 7 nighter. We got horrible weather. Rained for 5 days, snow, hailed, howling southerly winds with a wind chill of -10. This bag kept me (mostly) dry and (mostly) warm despite the horrendous conditions. Although I wasn't toasty, I was never dangerously cold either. Definitely pushed the limits of what it was capable of but my heart is still beating and I didn't loose any digits so it passed the test. Great sleeping bag.

Great light, roomy “light” 3 season bag
21 March 2022

I bought this for ski-in winter cabin trips (wood stove heated) and summer car, canoe n hike camping. After two ski trips I’m happy to say it was the perfect purchase and I’ll never sleep in a cramped mummy bag again! Super light and packs down to nothing. I’m 6’1” got the long and glad I did. Comfort temp rating is always subjective depending how you sleep - I’m lean n cool off at night - so at 40 degrees I was comfortable in long sleeve shirt n boxers. At 30 degrees the long John’s will come out. A bag is only as good as it’s zippers, they appeared well made and was pleased they didn’t bind when openening n closing. I will eventually buy another SeatoSummit cold weather bag👍

Plenty of warmth and comfort as a sleeping bag or just a quilt for hotter nights. Very light to carry and compression bag is very useful.Haven't really used the internal pocket, but the hood and the zips for your feet are great features, that I appreciated.Very happy with my purchase.

Solid bag comfy
10 July 2021

Really like this bag. Plenty of room and lightweight. Purchased the 18 degree bag and tested it in Alaska for a week of both dry cabins and tents. Temperatures varied from high 30s to mid 50s. I am cold natured and was a bit cool in the tent in the 30s despite wearing wool layers, but again I am always cold. The bag is comfortable and seems well made. I like having both the regular storage and compression sack for backpacking. My biggest complaint is that it is really smelly. I have not had down bags smell quite this much. Any suggestions on ways to de-funkify it would be appreciated!

This sleeping bag is compact
5 August 2022

This sleeping bag is compact and lightweight. The quality does not disappoint as everything from Sea to Summit. The materials inside and outside seems to be easy to clean. I took the bag with me in my 10 days trip and it performed as expected. I really satisfied with the purchase.

Very Dissapointed

I was looking for a quality 3 season bag and settled on the Trek TK2 after trying the marmot sawtooth and mountain hardwear bishop pass. I really wish I never bothered with this sleeping bag, I had a suspicion that the seams wouldn't hold up and I was right. After 3 days of use the down has started escaping through a few seems in the hood, one seem in particular quite substantially. For me that is a huge disappointment from a company that I expected a quality product from. Some additional dislikes, the zipper snags a lot more than the other models I tested, and the draft tubes are a little underwhelming. I wish this bag had a vaulted footbox but I can live without that. The bag is comfortable, more roomy than the bags I mentioned above, and the materials feel nice ... MoreI was looking for a quality 3 season bag and settled on the Trek TK2 after trying the marmot sawtooth and mountain hardwear bishop pass. It is also quite warm and has a good aesthetic, but the lack of quality is my main reason for a low rating. Hoping customer service comes through and provides a solution. I simply wish I could return it at this point.

I have had many down sleeping bags over the years and have always followed the instructions and used the correct products to wash and dry. I am extremely disappointed that after multiple attempts, I cannot get the down to unclump in a number of key areas. This includes around the hood, the draft tube and around the foot box. Like I said, I have tried a number of times to remedy this, especially with tennis balls and even bought a Granger kit with included dryer balls. Nothing has worked. I have taken the bag since then on a multi-day trip where it was only 6 degrees over night and suffered notable cold spots in all of these places. The trip was unfortunately not very enjoyable due to this and I am thinking I will require a new bag going forward.I love Sea to Summit products, but this experience really sucks considering my expectations for this product. If anyone from the company would like to reach out, I would be happy to provide more info if there is a deficiency to address.
