These are incredibly valuable for keeping my pack organized. However, I'm not particularly fond of the new fixed cord lock system. I think it adds unnecessary bulk and it's awkward to grab the cord lock from the top and bottom instead of the sides. Also, the sharp edges of the cord lock holes put unnecessary wear on the cord and are causing premature fraying. My older Sea To Summit stuff sacks do not have this issue. The fabric also has permanent creases that aren't present in any of my previous generation Ultra-Sil bags, but maybe that's due to how they were packaged. All that said, these are still the best!

Exceedingly light product. Seems very well built. I tend to be pretty careful with my gear, so I'm reasonably confident these will be tough enough for backcountry backpacking. However, if you anticipate these bags taking any sort of abuse, I would consider going with the Ultra-Sill (not the Ultra-oil Nano). However, time will tell. They're very thin but maybe tougher than they look.

Have bought multiple StS stuff sacks; all in the lightest silnylon; they seem pretty durable for the weight which is incredibly light. I'm currently using some in place of the factory sacks for my sleeping pads b/c the factory ones are just too small. Very happy with my choice.

The 22L version makes an excellent pack liner for an ultralight backpacking setup (30L pack). Competitive weight when compared to trash compactor and nylofume bags. The construction quality is top notch! Doubles as a nice pillow case for an inflatable pillow. Just stuff some extra clothes or a jacket between the pillow and dry bag, then roll closed. Luxury!
I bought several of the Ultra Sil Nano’s in various sizes and colors. Every item in my pack is now protected by a S2S Ultra Sil Nano or standard Ultra Sil dry sack. I have no idea why I hadn’t bought these sooner. I’ve been backpacking every chance I get for the last 24 years. I used gallon size zipper freezer bags to pack my clothes and other items. I used trash bags to line my pack. But those always seemed to fail to some degree after a long period of heavy rain. These Nano Dry Sacks are 100 times better than plastic bags and are actually lighter than a handful of plastic. I also ordered a set of standard Ultra Sil Dry Sacks as well. All have performed flawlessly. Got hit by high winds and sideways rain on a high mountain pass in Glacier National Park last week. ... MoreI bought several of the Ultra Sil Nano’s in various sizes and colors. All of my clothes, sleeping gear & everything else stayed totally dry. And the Nano’s are incredibly light. Wow. Highly recommended.
Must have for any travel or outdoor enthusiast. Its compact size makes it an ideal choice for smaller items or individual pieces of clothing that can easily get lost in the abyss of a larger bag. Bright color makes it easier to see it in the dark and easier to manage its contents. Wish Altitude stocked the grey. Slight con, it’s fairly crinkly. I would like to see a slightly less weather proof version that uses a quieter material.
Pairs perfectly with my lightweight down jacket. I can compress that down to a very small package that doesn’t occupy the bulk of the room in my running pack. The material is very sturdy and I like that Sea to Summit make these in a whole range of sizes so that you could get a similarly perfect size to fit other garments. I’ve gotten another one with compression straps to fit my down sleeping bag and that works great as well.
Light, durable and water-resistant (although not waterproof), this stuff sack offers an extra measure of protection while climbing in inclement weather. A puff jacket compresses into it nicely; once the drawstring is tightened, the sack then slides easily into the bottom of a hiking pack (the convenient pull handle ensures extraction that is just as smooth). Sea to Summit makes a host of sizes in a variety of colours, ready to organize everything for a hike: from electronics to a tool repair kit to extra fleece layers. Highly recommended!
And then some! The first thing I did when I received my package (after wondering if they remembered to include the product because it weighed basically nothing) was fill it up with air and bounce it around like a balloon. This thing is not only water tight, but it's air tight as well! The packaging states that it should not be submerged, but I have a fair amount of confidence that if I were to dunk it in a lake and bring it back up, the contents would be dry.I got the 8L size and use it as a pack to store emergency essentials in. These include emergency bivvy / blanket, compass, water filter, headlamp, batteries, toiletries, first aid kit, and more. I was excited to purchase and receive with this order the Sea To Summit Ultra Sil Nano tarp / poncho, which fits nicely in this kit as well and which I will review after some use. This pack will be tossed between my patrol car, personal vehicle, daypack, and larger mountaineering / backpacking pack. I previously had used standard zip lock bags which quickly wore out / were too small, so I'm excited for this upgrade. This weighs basically nothing (less than an ounce), is reasonably priced, comes in the perfect assortment of sizes, colors, and levels of sturdiness. I will definitely be purchasing more to store my layers and I'm going to try their first aid kit as well!
