Free from sodium and chloride, it promotes stability in carbonate hardness critical for plant health. Unlike rivals, Equilibrium excludes sodium chloride, which can hinder plant growth. Its calcium, magnesium, and potassium salts support fish metabolism and enhance plant vitality. Directions To increase mineral content/general hardness (GH) by 1 meq/L (3 dH), add 16 g (1 tablespoon) per 80 L (20 US gallons) during setup or water changes. For best results, dissolve in 1 L (1 qt.) of water before adding to the aquarium. Equilibrium may cause a temporary haze that dissipates in 15–30 minutes. Avoid using when replenishing evaporated water. Tailor dosing based on water hardness. Aiming for 1–2 meq/L (3–6 dH) is ideal. Equilibrium maintains effectiveness over time.
