I prefered to have a slim and fast rpm speed hard disk so I have ordered. It exactly fits to my laptop slim drive area. It is fast with no annoying sounds. Works like a charm.

I have a high powered gaming laptop, installed this and formatted it.. works great I moved a 180gb COD game over to it from the cpu SSD, and the game loads almost just as fast. It's a great cheap option if you have the OS on a SSD and need more storage. Write was 140mb/s and read 160mb/s ish when benchmarked. For the price and use its a good buy.

Excellent product, website made it very clear that I was buying exactly what I needed from the specifications listed. Arrived promptly and was well-packaged to protect it. Installation was a breeze and so far it has worked very well. Bought it because I discovered my laptop had an empty slot for a HDD (already had a small SSD) and so far, with being used to the speed of an SSD, the HDD has also been very fast.
I was upgrading my older hard drive and this was perfect. My PC is so much better with this. Easy install, great price and delivery. I would recommend this, it is perfect if ya wanna upgrade or if yore needing to replace your old one. I have a Toshiba laptop for anyone wanting to know that detail. Get it you wont regret it :)
I purchased the hard drive to upgrade my old Toshiba laptop. It works great and is very quiet. I have had it for 2 weeks and it works great. My laptop boots up much faster than it did before the upgrade.
I have a Toshiba laptop in which the hard drive locked up. It was a Toshiba 5400rpm 1TB hard drive so I wanted to replace it with the same size hard drive but a bit faster. I have always stood beside Seagate and rightly so seeing that I have never had any problem out of any of my six computers of which all have Seagate hard drives. With that said I got this 1TB 7200rpm Seagate and have to say it is the best improvement I could have made to my laptop. It is now much faster, smoother and definitely quieter. I have no regrets!
Pros: Value for money is good and the product is what you expect.Cons: Product doesn't seem designed to hold a SATA data cable with a clip to lock it in! Other 2.5" hard drives accommodate that, but not this one - I had to secure mine in place with Blutack due to its location in the case.
I purchased this drive to replace previous 2.5" 1TB 7200rpm from HGST, whilst this drive is SMR and previous one I had was CMR the speeds I'm able to achieve are the same. For my personal use case of having to backup data within quick time frame whilst on the job it's great.
Seagate has always been a reliable brand. This drive replaced a 15yr. old hard drive on its last legs. The backwards compatibility for laptops using 3.0 Gb/s is excellent as is true 6.0 Gb/s performance. The drive is nearly silent even sitting bare & taking on over 500GB of data at full 6.0 Gb/s speed -- when inside an enclosure or computer it is completely silent. I can't rate the reliability of this HD model as it hasn't been in use long enough to fairly rate that aspect, but if other current Seagate models are any indication it should be very good.
