This hard-drive is a must have for gamers because of the large amount of space/gigabytes that games take up , only an few can be installed on a Xbox one without this. This Hard drive is a must have and keep your console running faster without being slowed down by all the games . I am able to have all my favorite games on this hard drive and not have to constantly delete and download to play other games ,I no longer have to worry about space.Its worth mentioning that the pictures make this hard drive look a little darker then in person. Its not all black, the top is a grey color that matches the Grey Xbox one perfectly but would also look fine with the standard jet black .

Had the thing for about year. Never touched it so that I could be as gentle with it as possible. Had many games on it and then it just dies….. no warning nothing, simply shot. This is the second sea gate product I’ve had just die out of nowhere. I would not recommend this product at all

Some of the times, both read and write speeds are fast, sometimes they are slow (20-30MB/s).I thought I did something wrong on my side or the hard drive is faulty. Until I found out this external hard drive contains Seagate BarraCuda 8TB drive in there.According to Seagate, 2TB or higher capacity of their BarraCuda lineup uses SMR technology. SMR is designed for archiving and reading contents, while being cheap to make. As a result, SMR drives are SLOW with writing. They are okay with reading, but consistently writing to an SMR drives to asking them to choke themselves.If you are consistently writing files to the hard drive, I would recommend you to AVOID this. Doesn't seem to have cooling fan built in like W.D. and hard drive case small with drive inside which again might be overheating problem, even though seagate spindle speeds are slow at 6,000 r.p.m. instead of w.d. at 7,000 r.p.m. Ended up replacing both seagate hubs with 2 x 12tbt w.d. black game drives and had no issues and games run far better. Can't trust these Seagate hubs as it took me ages to download all the games again. Good Points: It does its job, provides extra storage for xbox games. The green light fits in with xbox brand, even if my series x is just black! It's silent, and apart from the green light (which you could just turn away) it exists without knowing its even there.Improvement Points: You can't put series x games on it, they have to stay on hard drive, but quickly transferred - gta 5 transferred in about 90 seconds.I'd like a button to switch off the light. It is a little bright. Or just remove it entirely, it's not needed.
Very happy with external hard drive.Plugged into the Xbox series x. Over 300 games stored on it. Still have about three terabytes of memory left. All Xbox One games will run directly off the hard drive. Backwards compatible games for Xbox 360 and original Xbox also work well too. If you look online there are a few Xbox series games that will run off the hard drive too.. I recommend this if you have a large collection of games.
Good Points: Large amount of storage space and decent read and write speed when transferring from drive to xbox or xbox to drive. Easy to set-up, pretty much plug and play, it just asks you if you’re going to use it for games and apps storage or media and other files and you just choose your preference to set up.Improvement Points: Cannot play Xbox-Series-X games on the drive. So if you transfer an xbox series x game to the seagate drive, you will NOT be able to play it, you’ll have to transfer it back to the xbox series x, however if you’re using it for xbox one or xbox one s you’ll be able to play all the games you download onto it.
To reiterate, I am not dissapointed in this product, I have over a thousand games purchased and this helps offload any games — you can later transfer these games back into internal storage and play them, this ONLY applies to Series x/s games. There are some games that allow you to play off the external drive, its all dependent on the game, bigger wel known titles will most likely need internal storage or an expansion card. It’s an awesome product! I would’ve loved it even more if all games were compatible off of the external drive, but it beats deleting games and reinstalling all of the time. I also love how they put the time in to make sure that the color matched the original console, something I was worried about before purchasing.
I have used hard drives of this type before, including all the attachments to the power cord. I installed your product in less than a minute. It worked so well that I just forgot about it. Even though I installed it seamlessly your other users might not be able to. For the first- or second-time user all of the attachments to the power cord could frustrate them to the point that they would return the product before attempting to connect it. I suggest that you use one connecting power cord to a 120-volt household ac outlet without extra attachments. This would probably suit 98% of your clients. I'll bet your current rate of satisfaction because of user friendliness is much lower than that. Joe Archuleta
