It was that for my tech refresh. My storage systems (2 synology ds2015xs with a total of 16x4TB disks) are always the to be refreshed and so I started hunting for a seller especially since I was looking to upgrade to 16x8TB disks. My attempts at looking for a reputable seller o Amazon was to say the least not encouraging as I had spent months trying to figure out where to get the disks (I buy most of my tech from Amazon). The very poor reviews I had read from various buyers on Amazon did not give the confidence that I was going to be happy with my purchase either. So I decided to give the independent retailers a try...I choose CCL and another retailer and split the quantity into 2 batches... 9 (8 + 1 spare) to CCL and 9 (8 + 1 spare) to the other retailer. The disks ... MoreIt was that for my tech refresh. (This was one of the major issues reported by buyers on Amazon) I was over the moon when every single disk I bought from CCL still had the 3 year warranty on it!!!And when it came to building the array (raid 5, took about a day and a half checking for consistencies), not a single error was reported on completion!!!To say that I was extremely pleased is an understatement. The whole process from purchase to utilisation was ...as they say in mortal kombat..a "FLAWLESS VICTORY" for me.I would have given more than 5 stars for this transaction but alas :) 5 is the maximumI would definitely recommend CCL for purchasing tech equipment. On a completely unrelated side note, I have been camping on their website waiting for an opportunity to grab an ASUS 3090 RTX GPU...we all know how that is going these days :)

I have bought this iron wolf NAS drive before, so it’s tried and trusted. I have never ordered through CCL computers before. It was simple enough to create an account and it was the cheapest price I had found for this item (brand new) online. My package actually arrived 2 days early too. The only thing I would remark upon is the packaging wasn’t as robust as I have received from other places. However, it all seems to be in working order so far.

This is a solid piece of equipment. Well packaged, well priced - and built to be operated within a NAS. A sound choice and it is performing perfectly. Wouldn’t hesitate to purchase again.

Bought a couple of these to upgrade my Synology Diskstation. Wish I hadn't. Whilst I cannot comment on their performance and reliability, the persistent head-seeking noise when there is no system activity is as distracting as a dripping tap. I would not recommend this drive be used in a 24/7 unit in a home environment e.g. lounge, home office or bedroom.
Pros: Runs well after initial set up problems with 4 x 8tb drives. One malfunctioned and had to be replaced.Cons: I was told by the sellers agent that some supplied drives had failed at setup in the past. If however setup was successful continued reliable operation could be expected. This is so after 2 months running in a Synology DS920+.
Bought 4 of these along with my Synology DS920+ and while I'm super happy with the overall performance it might have been a mistake to not go for a slower but less loud drive such as WD Red Plus with 5400 RPM. If you're planning to use this drive in a server or in NAS that's far away from where you spend most of your time it's a great purchase. If there's any chance you could be disturbed by noises of loud HDD, take the WD Red.
Pros: So far so good although shame reduction in capacity making more 7Tb available once in the Nas drive but this is normal for that tech. Early days on reliability but good so far.
According to folks on Reddit, Seagate drive may have some reliability issues. I can't talk about that because these drives are new and I hope they'll hold the data for a few years at least. In the meantime, I'm investigating why some of the drives make louder noise - I suspect there's a vibration issue with how I installed them and not with the drive itself.Note: these are not the NAS Pro. I wanted the NAS Pro and made a mistake. Needed the storage so I didn't bother exchanging them. The packaging is not retail packaging. Looks like OEM packaging with normal cardboard.
Called Seagate and they say by the serial number that this device was originally meant to be sold to customers in United States ONLY. If you apply from another country for a warrenty case, the device is out of warranty. Galaxus is not an official reseller of Seagate. All offcial can be checked on their website. Seagate said better return the product and buy from official reseller.Sorry Galaxus, but its time to apply for becoming an official reseller???
Pros: I stuck it in the drive and it works. However it did need to re-index which I thought a hot swap would not need.Cons: It all worked fine so no complaints.
