This is a TANK. With this, I feel secure that all the pictures and files for my business are safe and exactly where I need them to be. It's easy to install and easy to use. It is a bit heavy; if traveling, it wouldn't weigh down your bag, but if walking for awhile you'd feel it. But if it's to stay on your desk, it's small, inconspicuous and doesn't take up much room.In terms of extras, I like how it also comes with different international plugs so you won't need to find an adapter when traveling. But it would be helpful if the different plugs were labeled (there are like 7 different plugs). As a creative who travels, this is great.

I wasn't really expecting this 8 TB drive to be anything more than a high-capacity backup device. And I selected it over other choices based on the offer of 4 months of Adobe's Photography plan, which made it less expensive than those other options. However, it repeatedly failed to complete a 1.5 TB transfer from my old backup drive. After starting the transfer normally, the drive would hang part way through at 100% busy with 0 Bytes/sec transfer rate. I would have rated it at 1 star except for the 4 month subscription to Adobe.

I use this to backup my computer. This device is compatible with both Windows and Mac. It has a very large capacity of 8 TBs and is compatible with my specific model. The ports that are on the front of the device allow me to charge my phone while it's being backed up. It is small and does not take up a lot of room on my desk when I have it connected to my computer. I like that it is easy to use and software is included that allows me to backup my computer easily. It has a 2-year limited warranty as well just in case any issues arise. It is password protected just in case it is stolen. I would recommend this to someone that is looking for a device to back up their computer easily with a small footprint.

I recently received the Seagate One Touch 8TB with Hub External Hard Drive. Upon receiving it, I thought about the size and weight of the package. The drive is compact, but it has a little weight to it. I was impressed with the instructions and easy use.This desktop hard drive holds so much. I was able to load videos, pictures, and some files that were taking up space on my computers. The storage capacity on the Seagate was barely touched with the stuff I put on it. The charging ports made it simple for me to charge other devices while working.For now, the Seagate One Touch 8TB with Hub External Hard Drive helps out a great deal. I hope it will last for all my storage needs.
This product is very misleading. The ports on the front including the USB-C are only used to power portable devices and for plugging in other external drives. To connect to your computer you must use a USB 3.0 cable.I had switched to Seagate because all my prior WD harddrives always failed. I wanted to use USB-C for faster data transfer and because some of my devices only use USB-C. I am trying to switch everything to one cable. I do not want to get a separate USB-C/USB 3.0 cable to be able to use it with them. You also have to have the power cable and USB cable connected to turn the unit on. I could just use a USB to both power and connect to my computer with my WD drive.The Toolkit program has worked fine to back up my data. I’m happy with this drive, but it could be improved upon. Setup was very simple, and it includes free trials of a few different programs. It also includes power adapters for many different countries. This hub does need power unlike other external drives. It also has a fan inside to keep it cool, so it isn’t silent. If it was in a cabinet or something I don't think you would hear it though. Transfer speed is decent. It should be noted though, there is only about 7.27 TB of useable space. This is with almost all drives, but it is a bit disappointing. The overall package is pretty slim, and includes a USB 3.0 and a USB C on the front to connect additional devices. Overall it’s a pretty good drive
Excellent choice for an external hard drive. Storage capacity is perfect for my needs - saving pictures, documents, videos/movies, music. I appreciated the added features especially the USB-C port. It’s compact enough to place anywhere and I continue to be happy with Seagate quality. After considering several other options I feel this was the best choice for all the reasons I mentioned at a reasonable cost.

It does have a "Start here" file on it that basically registers the product and tries to get you to install Seagate's backup/file system. I used my own backup software for this drive and generally reached speeds in the 260-290 Mbps range, though it did bog down to about 100 Mbps after an hour. I am a graphic designer who needs extra hard drive space and backup drives are imperative in order to properly and efficiently do my work. After trying the One Touch, I've been really happy with the storage, speed, and compatibly. This came packaged very well with easy instructions. It also came with a big of about 7 different outlet conversions, which I thought was odd (living in the US, I only needed the standard two-prong one) but I can see the benefit if one were to maybe travel often to other countries. It has a USB port to plug into your Mac or PC, but I also really appreciated that the fact that it has a lighting port as well. All-in-all, the quick start-up, ease of use and speed was great and it's just enough storage for my design and backup needs.
