I bought several of these One Touch 5TB drives. Virtually all of them failed on me. Not to mention the fact that they're as slow as hell. They all seem to reach a point where they just inexplicably slow to a crawl and stop altogether. I've returned so many of these it's ridiculous. The strange thing is I actually like some models of Seagate drive (like the Backup Plus Hub), so it's not the brand that I have some kind of grudge against.
I had a failure of this device within 3 days of buying it, but the awesome people at JB just swapped it out for me. When anything is mass produced a fraction of the items will fail. JB's returns process and policy made this easy and quick to resolve. The COVID return process was seamless. The replacement is working well easy to use and install.
Took some time setting it up and the password function of the drive sometimes takes a while to pop up, but it's working well!
Running the corresponding software, always unable to connect to the network
