I have been buying the Seasol Planting Gel for 7 years. Bunnings used to stock it in little tubs, now it is only by special order in a huge 10kg tub. The last 10kg took 2 years to use. I don't remember any tree dying with this gel under it ( and we have 15 acres so have planted a lot of trees). I have shrubs that have reached their maximum height and width in just 3 years. Plants literally scream out of the ground. Love it and recommend it to everyone.
