Seeking Health Folinic Acid - 60 Lozenges

(731 reviews)

Folinic Acid by Seeking Health provides 1360 mcg DFE (800 mcg) of pure, bioavailable folate as folinic acid calcium salt per vegetarian capsule. This form of folate (vitamin B9) quickly converts to L-methylfolate, the predominant form of folate in circulation in the body. It may be easier for individuals who are sensitive to methylated nutrients to tolerate than supplemental L-methylfolate. Folate is essential for cell division, growth, and the formation of new red blood cells.

You can get cheaper folate in other forms but Seeking Health's is by far the most valuable for your money.Easy to swallow capsules filled with the purest ingredients. No fillers nor unnecessary ingredients. We like to take this with our Hydroxo B-12 everyday for the quickest and long lasting energy source.Try some and see if it doesn't change your life.

After experimenting a little bit once I learned about methylated vitamins, I realized I was methyl sensitive but I had symptoms of folate deficiency so tried these and they work great for me. Seeking Health is amazing to offer so many individualized options. So grateful for this company helping us achieve optimal health!

I have to take 1/2 pill every other day. Causes severe irritability/anxiety.

Unfortunately, this supplement and my emotional health don't get along.I have to cut the lozenge in half and take every other day...and at bedtime. When I was taking this daily, it was really affecting my relationships. I became irritable, quick tempered, and unmotivated. So, I cut it in half and took that 1x a day. That helped a little to lessen the side affects. So, I now only take half every other day, and then at bed time so that if I do get irritable, it won't affect my husband or other relationships. That's the best I can tolerate after taking this supplement for some time now.

Just right for me.

I tend to over methylate which is a horrible experience. I break these lozenges into small pieces and take a piece to dissolve under my tongue. I feel better knowing that I am absorbing the needed folate and that I am no longer over-methylating.Thank you very much for carrying this product!I think that my thyroid thanks you too.

Perfect for Methyl - Intolerance

I'm going to copy my review of Hydroxo B12; as I take that and this Folinic Acid at the same time.I am heterozygous A1298C, along with likely many other relevant SNPs. I tried the Methylated B12 and Folate many times under a controlled test run and concluded that I cannot tolerate Methylated supplements very well. The most obvious symptoms were aggravation and irritation for no other apparent reasons. Per Dr. Bens recommendations and other reason I have now tried 2 test runs of Hydroxo B12 paired with Folinic Acid (Folate) and PROBLEM SOLVED. No random aggression or irritation and energy levels significantly more stable. My diet/supplements/lifestyle choices are very controlled, as well. Thanks Seeking Health and Dr. Ben.PS: Consider the Strategene Test. I wish I had used this formula when I was pregnant. But we learn as life goes on and do the best we can with the info we have. Bought this for a teenage daughter who needed some extra support, after researching we thought she could be low in folate. I decided to try seeking health’s folinic acid instead of cheap folate. Just by adding this several months ago to her morning vitamins, she has gotten the support she needs.

Terrible methylator
23 July 2022

Strangely - I absolutely don’t tolerate methyl folate. Period. No matter the dose - I just can’t handle it. I tolerate eating chicken liver that is just loaded with methyl folate but as a supplement I have to pass. I also have no problem with methylated B12 supplements and the one from Seeking Health is the very best. I need more folate and I know I do - I might burn through it faster than other people - so the 800mg dose is just perfect. What I love about Seeking Health supplements is that whatever you buy - their supplements are non defiled and non corrupted - and you can feel it. You can waste a lot of money with unknown or cheaper brands but I believe that just with foods - if you want to thrive you might as well eat God’s foods - as those are comparable to SH ... MoreStrangely - I absolutely don’t tolerate methyl folate. Unique Product

I came across this product while researching over-methylation. Because of a genetic mutation, I was instructed by my healthcare provider to take the active form of folate or methylfolate. To me this seems the best of both worlds: the active form of folate but without the methylation.

I am super sensitive to any folate product (I am still learning on how to manage). My genetic makeup does not allow me to process folic acid or methylfolate….the next is to try folonic acid. I still have issues in processing this in normal doses. I am not ready to give up! I am doing slow and low (1/4 lozenge 3 times a week). As I continue to research and wait for the next blood test results I will keep at it ❤️
