I rarely write reviews - but this product and Segways Customer Service have so frustrated me that I felt compelled to write again (see my comments posted on August 8). Segway apologized and then said that I would be contacted to see how they might correct the issue - of course no one ever followed up with me. The only advice that I was provided was to get a new battery - which of course was not what the code was detailing - however against my better judgement I did finally purchase a battery - which of course did not fix the problem - only put me out another 120.00. I really have never encountered a company and customer service department quite so poorly run. I have asked numerous times to speak with a supervisor and have yet to be called contacted or otherwise. Turning on the game controller to use the manual mode simply does nothing. The bluetooth light is flahsing indicating it's NOT connected. How on Earth do you PAIR this controller to the actual segway go kart pro 2?

But the biggest downside in that when it arrived the box was fairly beaten up and had some puncture holes in it but with quick inspection and the delivery driver wanting to get on with his route, I signed for it. After unboxing it a bit more I realized that the steering wheel had taken impact, unfortunately one of the holes in the box lined up with the steering wheel and I did not see this in my rushed inspection before signing. I chose not to try and contact Segway because vehicles arriving damaged seems to be a on going thing when you research their customer service reviews. This is a machine and goes 100mph+, and it also is super big where two adult men can fit in it. The price is perfect for how fast and how big it is. This machine is like an actually F1 car. Its acceleration speed is like a porsche turbo s with a 0-60 in 2.1 seconds. This machine also lasts for 5 hours and only needs to charge for 5 minutes to get to full! I would really recommend this monster.
I purchased the original go-Kart from Segway. It worked for approximately 1 hour then started putting out a code. I tried to contact customer support with no responses initially. Finally they responded and and said that based upon the code - I would need to mail the unit back to the factory - which cost me an additional $100.00 due to its weight. I got the part back and the go-kart worked for approximately 1 more hour and then started spitting out the same code as before. I contacted customer support numerous times - when they finally responded they said that they couldn't help me as the product was out of warranty. A few weeks ago I asked to be put into contact with a supervisor...I am still awaiting a call back. I have never encountered a company nor customer ... I got this for my 10 year old daughter for Christmas. It's really fast. Don't waste your $ on a 24V Volts electric Go-kart they are a joke compared to this. The seat keeps them snug. I also think a real headlight or two would be great
Wow, this thing is amazing and fun and fast. Had a blast with kids as they have there own small side by side already. Note: most do not mention that upon setting up the controller needs to be synced to go kart via pressing 4 buttons at the same time. Left and right lever along with left whoke button and a button. All within 10 seconds of turning on the car. Hope it helps rhe next person
Fast shipping, my son was really happy to receive his go kart on time for his birthday. Pretty easy to assemble, pairing speaker along with the app is confusing I believe only one can be paired at a time. The speedometer did not show while riding try it connected multiple times. The lights arent the best I suggest mounting some from amazon. Overall my son is happy and loves his go kart.
I love that this gokart can be used for adults and actually be so fun while still be able to shrink it and slow it down for my younger kids. Overall such good quality and can really run it hard. I have put about 50+ miles on it and it has had no problems. Battery life runs quite long even when you are hammering on it.
I bought 2 and they are pretty awesome. Top speed is definitely faster than it should be… which is perfect. There are several issues I’m having so far. The speakers are not pairing the gokarts and one of the steering wheel controllers has stopped pairing. I also wish you could lock the speed with the app at any speed you want and not just up to 5 mph. I also wish the thing they call a tail light was actually a working tail and brake light. It doesn’t do anything. You cant tell when the person in front of you is braking. A real headlight would be great too. The accelerator is very smooth and linear but the brakes are not. Gently applying the brake pedal instantly gives you about 80% braking. Hopefully there are firmware and app updates coming soon as well as optional ... MoreI bought 2 and they are pretty awesome.
