Original Seiko 5 Automatic Orange Dial Men's Watch SRPD59

I received the watch about 10 days after being ordered (it was held by the customs for about half of that time). The packaging was just immaculateso is the watch. The dial looks stunning under the sunalso at night (the luminescence is so good it's even visible during the day sometimes!). This amazing timepiece wears really comfortablyhas a bit of heft to it. The caliber is really precise, gaining about 3-4 seconds a day which is far less than the advertised +-35. This watch is just amazing, I can't recommend it enough (especially at this price point).

Color differences

I've ordered the orange faced SEIKO watch from 3 sites and every time they send me the one with the peach hands which I promptly return. How can I get one with the white hands? Can't stand the one with the gray and black bezel. Not attractive at all.

Great Looking Desk Diver

The orange dial version of the Seiko 5 dive style watch is great looking. Mine has been very accurate for a self-winding watch. When worn 24/7 for an entire week, it gains less than fifteen seconds total...an average of two seconds per day. Most of my other automatic watches gain five to fifteen seconds per day.But, it is NOT a real diving watch. The crown does not lock down and the timing bezel stopped rotating after a few weeks. And, I was unable to register the warranty because the serial number is stamped onto the rear glass cover in faint microscopic type.

Great design plus an automatic movement at an amazing price point. Better accuracy would make this a stellar watch series.

Vibrant colour and an automatic movement at an excellent price point. The bracelet does squeak, but I think I can lubricate the pins with graphite (a pencil!), and accuracy is acceptable as a watch in a rotation - so it will be reset regularly anyway. I know its not a swiss chronometer. But it does gain significant time over a week. It was only 150 though!

Great watch. I own 60+ watches. This one has become my daily wearer. Sharp looking with a solid Seiko movement. Band is fairly comfortable to.

Men's Seiko 5 Sports SRPD59K1 Automatic Bracelet Watch

The only thing l found out, just two and a half hours after buying this watch. It is being sold on Amazon, the identical watch for £73.00. Less. You may have thought £20 or a little more. But Not £73. Not happy.

Perfect entry level sports watch

I love the reliability of this watch. It has a decent power reserve for when you're sleeping or not wearing it. The luminescent dial markers glow all throughout the night. The dial itself is so attractive. You can't find a better quality automatic watch for the price.

I had been trying to make my mind up about which one of the 27 different versions of the new Seiko 5 Sport watches I would pick. I knew I wanted a good reliable daily watch with a nice automatic movement. The Seikko SRPD59K1 is that watch for me. Solid build, nice movement (4R36), distinctive style. If you don't like orange there are other subtle colours and straps available. It feels very comfortable on my wrist and in the picture you can see it in it's orange glory. If it helps my wrist is about 18.5cm and I took out two links on each side of the clasp for it to fit nicely.It comes in a good box, with instructions to set date & time and the guarantee. I can see from our system that this Seiko was delivered in to us from Seiko UK on Dec 2nd and is a brand new item. Please note that Seiko don't use as many covers as other watch manufacturers as they send them to us in bulk using polythene bags and the presentation boxes are sent separately. We then take the watch out of the polythene bag and put it on the display cushion in the official box before sending.Please let us know if you would like us to replace the watch,My sincere apologies for any inconvenience caused,Kind regardsScott

Very accurate, not for sport

I bought this watch to replace an old Seiko diving watch from the 90's. This watch is very similar with bright orange face and offset crown. This watch is the most accurate automatic watch I own. More accurate than my Swiss made $3000 chronograph. In two weeks it has lost less than one minute. The only problem is the crown, it does not screw down. Therefore, I can't wear it in the water. If I get this watch wet and accidentally rotate the crown I could get water inside. I won't even wear it in a swimming pool. So, nice watch but you should not get it wet. Use this one for dress up.
