This Seiko SRPD95 is maybe a little bit of a settle. I never pulled the trigger on a SKX 007. Although the dial on this one is more charcoal than the 007, it still is about the closest thing that I could find to the look of that iconic watch! The rubber strap is like nothing I have ever seen; very unique and very comfortable as well. I have never had a problem with Hardlex crystals. They are after all, harder than mineral. I have only scratched 2 mineral watches so I am not to concerned. In summary, beautiful watch for the price!!

Gorgeous watch - however movement looks smooth initially but for some reason every single day the watch needs to be reset and randomly stops. The watch fails to fulfill its one sole purpose, tell the time. Very bizarre for an entry level luxury watch.Sending it in for repair, looked it up, its clearly an issue many other owners have. Faulty qualty control testing from Seiko - shame to see that from such a good company.

This is an excellent watch; comfortable, accurate and it looks great. If you're looking for Seiko 5 Sports model, I strongly recommend you consider this model. The description describes it as black, but I would call it gray with a very nice sunburst finish. There are number of YouTube reviews that feature it.

The watch itself, is awesome. It's comfortable, goes well with any outfit, and best of all its automatic, so no new battery for a long while. Checkout process was fast and easy only issue was the warranty and authenticity card that usually comes with the watch from Seiko was missing. Also it was a store display watch, wish I could have gotten a new, never opened watch box. Overall I'm still satisfied with my purchase, Seiko watches have lasted me years with no issues so I expect this one to be the same great quality.
Great watch and movement. Was tired of replacing batteries and have been looking at an automatic by Seiko for a while. Macy's had a great price and I am happy with my purchase. Watch face is not too large. Classic and simple. Cool white insert on interior edge. Band is not as nubby looking as the pictures. Like how the band does not cover up the watch movement on the back. Maybe not a 100m PADI watch, but fine for the lake or pools. Very comfortable.
Purchased this watch and added a SS mesh bracelet to give it a similar look as the other Seiko "Suits" that come w SS bracelet. The bright white around the perimeter of the dial contrasts nicely with the off-white color of the hands, accentuating their vintage vibe. I did the same bracelet trick to the SRPD59 and now I've got two inexpensive, classy summer watches. Very happy w these Seiko watches.
This is a very solid entry level mechanical watch - a good entry point into the watch hobby. It's styled after the old Seiko SKX dive watches, which is a very iconic look. The dial is a nice sunburst, the handset is bold and attractive, the lume is amazing, the movement is solid, and I appreciate that even for a ~43mm case, this watch wears very well on small wrists like mine and doesn't look like a dinner plate on your wrist like a lot of cheap fashion watches at this price point. But it does have some negatives. I don't like the rubber strap at all - it feels cheap and looks odd with its faux mesh pattern, and I'm always fiddling with it. On the case, the crown guards are inexplicably angled downward so they dig into my wrist, which is not comfortable and a ... MoreThis is a very solid entry level mechanical watch - a good entry point into the watch hobby. On the case, the crown guards are inexplicably angled downward so they dig into my wrist, which is not comfortable and a baffling design choice. I think the case shape is very thick and doesn't wear very well with sleeves. And finally I think the number font on the bezel is just ugly. But still a very good value. You may just want to upgrade soon!
Much thicker (.5 inch) than I imagined, but it is still a clean design. The white, inner face lining has depth not visible from the 90 degree flat picture. The bezel is easy to grasp and turns smoothly. The back side of the wristband has a somewhat flat, not "woven" design like the front, but that's okay with me. Finally, there are enough holes in it to accommodate smaller or larger wrists, and the keeper moves freely. Simple, practical, but overall, a nice addition to any watch collection.
I bought this watch about a year ago. There were no surprises, and the rubber strap was surprisingly comfortable. The watch ran slightly fast, but within spec. (I will probably regulate it at some point.) I bought a black bezel to tie the black of the strap further into the watch. Overall just a very solid offering with a classic look.
I have owned a lot of high end time pieces in my life. I gifted my Seiko sea urchin to my tour guide on a trip when I was on a vacation. My friend got me this as a gift because of how much I used to gripe about not having a solid work horse watch that wouldnt get me mugged in foreign countries. I switched out the rubber straps with brown leatherstraps and the dark brown sundust dial now pops!!! Talk about bag for your buck. The movement is so sold. I wish the pics did this watch justice
