I really like the watch. It looks great. I was able to resize the bracelet myself with a watchmakers tool kit. It has pins and collars on the links. The watch is close to 5 minutes fast per hour, so I'm going to need to slow it a bit to get it under control. I'm not sure how they could ship the watch being that far off. The bracelet looks nice, but it "feels" very lightweight and cheap. It is the worst bracelet I've ever encountered on a watch. Still though, I love it and won't part with it.

This is model SRPE39, also known as King Turtle “Save The Ocean Manta Ray Edition”. The watch is simply awesome, I had one ordered elsewhere, but it came used and defective. This watch from Macy’s came brand new with all of the factory stickers intact, and was made in Japan. The “candy bar” cyclops was aligned perfectly and the chapter ring was also well placed. This is a perfect specimen and I was extremely satisfied with the purchase. This is a pretty large watch, but wears quite comfortable. In fact it fits under dress shirt cuff and a suit. Truth is, none of the product photos and pictures for this watch really show how awesome this watch looks when sunlight hits it just right. You just have to see it for yourself.

I received this time piece last week and I am overall happy with my purchase minus a few things. The first thing I'm not too happy about is the magnification over the day/date. It is not aligned and noticeable crooked. The second two things are relatively minor but still noticeable to me. The bezel alignment is not right over the 12 o'clock position and will only be left or right of it. Last, the color of the dial is darker than shown on the website image. Online, the dial is shown in more of a lighter carribean blue water. It is darker in person. I am currently debating whether to exchange it for another one or not. Overall I love the watch. Its just these little things I wish were fixed and it would be perfect for me.

Great watch. The clasp on the bracelet was a little disappointing for this price point, but I replaced it with a milled 20mm clasp and it definitely made a big difference. I have ordered a Miltat Jubilee bracelet to fit turtles, given the crazy price this was offered it seemed like a no brainer. Really pleased with the asthetics, very classic and though watch. Even though I will baby it, it's nice to know it will likely stand the test of time with ceramic Bezel and Sapphire crystal. Usual excellent service from Starbuy.
Great watch, however, since I have modded many 6309 and 7s26 divers, I couldn't resist modding this watch. Since I didn't like the cyclops (except for my Rolex) it had to come off. I replaced the hands and replace the ceramic bezel with a lumed ceramic one and replaced the chapter ring with a lumed chapter ring.
This is my first Seiko! I honestly shouldn't have spent this money but I wanted to have this for the next time i'm out in the snow or my camping trip to the appalachian trail in May or surfing in the summer. It really does inspire adventure. As soon as I put this watch on, the wearability of it shocked me. My only other dive watch is a Casio Duro which has smaller specs but wears significantly larger. With the King Turtle, they give you a dense, hefty, sturdy, reliable mechanical piece but with the illusion of smallness; it isn't distracting or obnoxious. I'm personally a big fan of the cyclops magnifier over the day/date window. And I love the touch of blue for the day of the week on the weekend. The bezel action? Like a knife through butter. The movement inside is a 4R36 automatic movement. To my understanding, it's basically the same as the Seiko NH35 movement but with the ability to hand wind and with the aforementioned day/date window. (Frequency may also be higher than NH35. I believe the 4R36 is 21,600bph) Sapphire crystal and ceramic bezel insert! Beautiful watch and i'm really enjoying it.
I was skeptical at first buying direct from Seiko USA since I paid MRSP. The customer service via phone was absolutely horrible. The lady whom I spoke with was rude and ghetto. After I thank her for the information she hung up very quickly. I couldn't even finish my sentence. The watch arrived with minimal packaging, but luckily my watch had zero issues or cosmetic blemishes. This particular was out of stock everywhere so I had no choice but to buy direct. However, I will only consider Seiko USA as my last option.
The watch is fantastic love everything about it. The in store experience not so much. I had to go to two different stores to buy it. The first Macys had it but the band / bracelet was broken and they also said they couldn’t size it even if it weren’t broken. I asked if another store had it and could they size it. The associate scanned it and found it at South Coast Plaza. I asked her to cal the store to verify it was there. She call asked if it was there and asked if they could size it. The answer was yes to both questions. I drove to SCP Macys and it was there. I asked if they could size it. They said yes, the reality was, they couldn’t. They came to me to tell me I had to go to a jewelry store in the mall have it sized pay for it. Then I was to bring back the receipt and get reimbursed for the cost of the sizing. Well when I got back to Macys with the receipt, no
I bought this watch a few months ago and am pretty satisfied. I think it's well-made, keeps time within spec, and don't have quality or functionality complaints. I've been daily driving it and it gains maybe a minute or so in a week. My slight gripe/caution would be that the dial is much darker than it appears in the marketing photos. The manta ray silhouettes are very hard to see in all but direct, bright light conditions. Kind of a bummer, but not a deal breaker.
I love the Turtles and this is no exception. Classic case with a needed upgrade on the bezel, ceramic insert and sapphire crystal. I almost exclusively wear divers due to my love of the water, and I always seem to get caught in the rain when I'm outdoors. The way the texture and gloss are executed on the dial make for the impression of white caps across the top of the water on a breezy day. All this and using their reliable 4R36 movement which I have come to respect. Had to knock 1 star off because with such a substantial, beautiful, beefy watch at this price point there should be a milled clasp. We aren't worried about saving weight at this point so give us the milled clasp.
