I bought this watch because I needed a day-to-day timepiece that could stand up to Marine field duty. I’ve worn this same style of Seiko with the 7S26 movement in the past; this is an exponential improvement. The Japanese innards keep very accurate time; +/- 5-10 seconds, generally, during a 5-day week. I do wind the watch about 40 times every morning, and I do find the extra oomph keeps the movement more honest. The orange lume and dial makes this watch particularly easy to read at a glance, and it’s actually gotten a number of unsolicited compliments—it looks just funky enough to attract positive reviews. You won’t be disappointed.

I bought this watch as an automatic that would be great for everyday use and most occasions. I wasn't disappointed. So far, it's been accurate above the Seiko specs, and it looks great. The orange really pops during the daytime. I will say that it's a bit hard to read at night but that's typical of most non-digital watches, and it's certainly not the worst I've seen. Overall, a great purchase that really worth the price.

This watch should be on the radar of any law enforcement professional. Its got a black ops feel with the all black motif and the ion plated case, but the legibility is bar none with the orange hands and indices. Very good lume for low light conditions without it being bright enough to expose your position. The price point is very good as well so this watch is a winner in my book for any military or law enforcement professional that doesn't want to be stranded in the field with a dead watch battery!

Great automatic watch. Very easy to see the time with orange hands & numbers with the black background. Seems to keep good time. I like the day of the week & date display. Being older, sometimes I forget what day of the week it is! I would give it five stars, but the band (I like the black color) is stiff. Been wearing almost every day, but it's not loosening up yet.
I just purchased this watch from a local authorized dealer. I love the styling! My only complaint about performance is the lume. The orange lume is a unique feature, but the lume doesn’t last nearly as long as my other Seiko watches with Blue or Green lume. I didn’t closely inspect the watch until I got home and I was very disappointed to find a large piece of dust stuck to the inside of the single domed hardlex crystal. It’s very noticeable against the flat black dial. I would expect better quality control from Seiko. Are these not assembled in a clean room? I know it’s there, and it’s all I see :( The band is very comfortable and long enough to fit all wrists. The only lume on the dial are the dots/pips at the hour marks. Much like other “Every Day Carry” items, this is a great option for an Every Day watch; it can be dressed up or dressed down. Great automatic movement as to be expected from Seiko, especially for the price!!! Light weight makes it my choice for daily wear; love the day/date displayed on the dial, only criticism is that the hands & numbers are not luminous.
OK. So what I would want to know if I was buying:1) The watch is black and orange. There is no yellow. From the picture there looks like there is a yellow and orange contrast-nope.2) the watch is smaller - It is a bit smaller than I had thought it would be. So check the watch size and determine if it is right for you.3) I am very happy with the watch. It has kept great time. IT is easy to see in low light. The watch is cool looking on the wrist. The watch band is stiff at first, but with breaking in, it is almost unnoticeable while wearing.I love it.Hope this is useful.
Love this watch, it’s very comfortable, I don’t usually like things on my wrist, but this is an exception. Super easy to tell time on, even at a quick glance. The black and orange garnishes a lot of components, I’m a big fan of the clear backing and being able to see the gears, it’s a cool conversation starter as well as a stylish, affordable, and durable accessory.

I had to keep in mind that I am comparing a dive watch to a field watch, they are in completely two different categories. This is a very special and personal purchase, I bought this because it is unique and stands out but most importantly keeps the time!!!!!
I am enjoying my watch. Black and orange combination is far from the look of any other Seiko that I know of. One reason I bought it.I wasn’t liking the nylon band. It is too stiff and uncomfortable to wear and did not let the watch conform to my wrist. I replaced it with a very nice black leather band.I also like the manual wind feature.
