Seiko SSC376P-9 Coutura Perpetual Solar Watch

I love the style and the features. The luminescent markings on the hands do not glow for very long. The owner's manual says that the watch is accurate to + or- 15 seconds a month. I have a cheap watch that is accurate to 2 seconds a month (observed over approximately a year). This watch is difficult to set. It takes a lot of coordination to do it properly. I also have a hard time reading the numbers on the dial. It is a mechanical work of art. I cannot adjust the band properly. Taking another link out makes it too small, leaving the link in leaves it too large (no micro adjustments possible). My jeweler adjusted it professionally. Overall I love it. I have been buying Seiko watches since they were $20.00 or "Japanese Timex" when I was in Navy during Vietnam War. The only problem I have with this watch is my old eyes and the small print. Of course Seiko is doing a lot with a small space. It's a great watch. I have a small wrist and have to get virtually all watch bands sized; no different with this one. Great quality. As a by the way, I would NEVER use the word "awesome" to describe anything. It is so overused that the word has lost its true meaning.

Really nice, dressy looking watch that has the functions I was looking for. Stopwatch, water resistant, day/date, solar powered so doesn't need battery replaced. Two things that I didn't like so much. #1 - I'm 57 years old and reading the date of the month can be difficult because it is so small -- I liked the date wheel on my old watch better. #2 - When the watch arrived, the 24-hour clock inexplicably needed to be reset before I could get the day/date to actually change at midnight. Figuring that out was a hassle.
