I couldn't find any information online if it works on linux, so bought on my own risk. And it works, right out of the box plug and play, with no drivers needed to install.Sound quality noticeable improved, now it uses AptX codec (led lights on the dongle indicate the codec) instead of default SBC that was used with previous default bluetooth dongle.Debian 11, hd450bt

I was having problems with a new Dell laptop not connecting or dropping the signal to my Bose 700 headset (No problems with an older laptop). Bought the BTD 600 as it was half the price of the Bose version, plus has a USB-C adapter included. Works great - as long as you immediately update the firmware drivers!!!

This unit delivers high-quality audio quality, as you expect from the Sennheiser brand. So far so good.Using the unit is not so straightforward, that’s why I give it only 4 stars. The quirks of this unit unfortunately don’t come out in any of the other reviews.Be aware, strictly speaking, this is not a Bluetooth adapter in the sense that it adds Bluetooth capability to a computer. A classic Bluetooth adapter will allow you to use all kinds of Bluetooth devices and it can be controlled from the OS. That’s why I said it’s technically not a Bluetooth adapter. The dongle has a button to select modes and two status lights that show the mode. The table in the manual showing the status light codes has 14 entries, good luck remembering all those.By pressing short, long, or several times you control the mode, for example, pair a new device, pair a previously paired device, mute, or change the Bluetooth protocol. Again, good luck remembering all those and you have to remember, because you cannot select those functions through the OS.A Bluetooth adapter can be disabled from the OS. To disable the BTD 600 dongle you have to unplug it. Sounds easy enough, but a small unit like this can easily get lost.On the positive, very happy with the sound quality. Compared to my other generic USB adapter, the lag is reduced. Not so positive, clumsy operation, using a single button and status lights. The advantage of the computer seeing a standard USB audio device (rather than a Bluetooth device) is that this will work on any device with a USB port and OS that recognizes a standard audio device. This is pretty much any and every device under any OS. Getting a generic Bluetooth dongle to work under exotic/custom Linux or Android distros can be difficult, or doesn’t work at all. For this environment, the BTD 600 really shines. For a user of a Windows computer or Mac, I dare say a good Bluetooth adapter will be easier to use.

Got this for connecting Logitech Zone 100 headset to desktop PC, works smooth. No lags. It automatically detects Microsoft teams and light up purple when using teams. Unfortunately Zone 100 doesn’t support APTX codecs but the sound quality still pretty good.Note this is only for headsets it’s not a regular Bluetooth adapter.
This is a hidden gem, you maybe mistaken in thinking it is only for Sennheiser headphones, as many are, but this wee beauty will connect with any bluetooth device or speaker. The dongle is compliant with Bluetooth 5.2 ( and backwards compatible ) If your headphones or speakers or blue tooth reciever, support one of the following high-resolution audio encoding methods, you can play music in high quality: aptX Adaptive (aptX, aptX Low Latency). Otherwise your music will beplayed in normal audio quality (SBC) which, EVERY bluetooth device has. The tiny LED's on the dongle change colour to indicate the audio encoding method used. The device will choose the highest quality to match the highest quality of your receiver too. Sound quality is very good even on SBC, if you ... Sound quality is very good even on SBC, if you use it with a laptop, you will need to turn off the wifi and bluetooth to get it to connect first up but after that you can turn on your wifi and bluetooth. You will have to set it as the default device in your sound settings to get sound.
This device appeared to offer support for bluetooth speakers, though it only offers support for bluetooth headphones -- I primarily purchased this to port through to bose portable speaker, though doesn't work, would've returned however it does allow for connection to my headphones. In all, not worth the price, go for something cheaper
Sound quality with Sony XM5s is poor, with lots of distorted buzzing and crackling like a faint dial up modem in the background. Also when dual paired the headphones regard any audio from this device as a phone call, meaning actual calls and notifications from the other device don't come through.I assumed the more expensive option would be better, but this thing is sub par at any price.
