I purchased these as I was going back and forth between Beats (a higher price but a name brand and I wanted pink) and these (cheaper, brand recommended). There was a fantastic sale on Black Friday, so I took the plunge and I am grateful I did. Firstly, these headphones are really comfortable. The pads on the headphones are soft, but full. Compared to the Beats, they are larger and actually encompass my ear, as well as have more padding. I noticed the beats were pretty empty feeling. The Beats also sat on my head weird. (Probably because of the ears) while I can sit with these on my head for hours. I easily get headaches, and have had no issues thus far with these. The buttons are not intuitive for me yet, despite consistent use. It’s also a little easy to skip / go back on a song with the “flick” button. Summoning Siri is a little difficult, but that’s more of a non-issue, as this is not designed as an Apple product. I have had no issues with it on my Nintendo Switch either. These are wonderful headphones, and I fully recommend them!!

Through the course of a years worth of ownership these headphones have definitely been one of the most problematic devices I have ever owned. I'm not sure if its just the ones I received or not but over the past year these headphones have continuously found new ways to fall apart. In terms of its structure its well made and still adjusts perfectly fine however the cups are just so bad. During the first month of usage they'd constantly just fall off; leading to embarrassing moments on the train while I'm sat there trying to reassemble my headphones. To solve this I tried to glue the cups to the base of the headphones however the headphones would not give up, they were adamant on showing me up and would not let the glue hold them together. Unbelievable and it's not like I was abusing these headphones or anything as they were mostly handled carefully and used indoors. In terms of its pros, I guess it's cheap and produces average sound out of the box, looks pretty despite the large size and has decent battery life. If the cups simply stayed put this would be a great buy and I'd recommend it.

I chose these headphones because I am autistic and have been desperately needing a good pair of noise canceling headphones. I'm also hearing impaired so I needed a pair that could be loud enough that I can hear music, while also being able to play them louder so I can enjoy loud music - as other pairs of headphones have never been quite loud enough for me. Luckily I had a good friend of mine who also owns an exact same pair of these headphones so he was able to let me try them on and see if I liked the fit, the sound, the canceling, everything. That really helped me picture more clearly what the headphones were going to be like compared to a pair I had only seen reviews on online. I personally like this, but everyone's preferences are different. These headphones so far are great, they're loud, bassy, have a good amount of noise canceling and are comfortable to wear. I enjoy their sleek, simple design and they never get in the way when I wear them around my neck, even at school. The battery life is excellent and so far they haven't been too difficult to transport. Only time will tell how they hold up.

After having used these for a few weeks, I'm certainly happy that I made the right purchase and I'm pretty impressed with the sound quality. The noise cancelling is solid, creating an incredibly silent environment within the phones, but it's worth pointing out that "noise cancelling" does not mean the hardware blocks out ALL outside ambient noise. Switching from phone calls to online meetings to listening to music can flip the audio experience around quite a bit, with variable white noise levels creeping in during video calls. Noise cancelling is not going to help a lot when the white noise from the actual meeting is being piped down the internet. Noise cancelling is not going to help a lot when the white noise from the actual meeting is being piped down the internet. The microphone seems clear and loud for listeners at the other end and is quite effective despite being built into the headset instead of being on an antenna in front of your face. The headset is very comfortable but I found pressure from the headband a little too much if I wore it for a full day. They collapse down nicely and extend to different sizes well. The headset comes with a canvas zip bag, but I found this less than ideal: it offers little protection to the headset while the stiffness of the material putting up a fair bit of resistance to get the headset in and out of the bag. So all told, worth the money. Good quality gear. Disappointing accessories.
Needed headphones primarily for airline travel to reduce the engine noise and to block out neighbors barking dog when working from home. I check all the reviews and agreed with most. Some of the negatives: 1. Not a heavy base sound. But not needed for my listening preferences. 2. Ear cup foam not very breathable. Not an issue on the flights I've taken. 3. Ear cups don't swivel all the way so difficult to wear around your neck. But, extending the adjustment from the headband makes it easier. 4. Cable connection requires an additional twist to lock it in. Just something to get use to and it is nice that the cord won't fall out if pulled slightly. Benefits include: 1. Cost. I could have gotten nicer headphones and spent three times as much. 2. Very compact-able, folds ... MoreNeeded headphones primarily for airline travel to reduce the engine noise and to block out neighbors barking dog when working from home. I originally went to BestBuy with the intention of getting an HD350BT, which did not have noise-cancelling but was 50 dollars cheaper. Long story short, I got an HD450BT. On sale. For 129.99! ...And it broke after it fell out of my jacket pocket onto the concrete on the first day BestBuy took it back with no fuss and gave me a new pair at no charge. Not only is that good for me, but it's also better for BestBuy. They clearly value a strong customer relationship more than strictly following their policy line-by-line. Although I do want to note that this is anecdotal, so if you break a pair of headphones, who knows how they'll respond? Although I do want to note that this is anecdotal, so if you break a pair of headphones, who knows how they'll respond? But in terms of these headphones, they do have a peculiar design that is not suited for larger ears, and everyone's been saying that in the comments--- It's true. Thankfully, my ears are moderately-sized, meaning that it takes more than 2 hours or so for them to become uncomfortable. And by the end of those 2 hours, I'm usually tired of whatever I'm doing with my headphones on, anyways, so it's a win-win. These headphones also sound great--- With an equalizer. By default, the sound is clear but with recessed high-frequencies. I was not satisfied with it and used the in-app utility to find that the +3 Bass, -3 Mids, and +3 Treble settings worked best for my ears. Also, the noise-cancelling worked decently, blocking out lower rumbles and ambient sounds but not achieving absolute silence--- Something I'm assuming is reserved for the 400 to 800-dollar headphones, tech-wise. They also have low-latency codecs, making them quite good and un-laggy for watching videos. I'd just like to mention the battery life, as well. It's incredible. I impulsively charge these headphones on a daily basis, but I had never seen the battery drop below 90% throughout a full day. You do not have to think about it. And I certainly didn't until now. Too bad the side controls are mediocre. In conclusion, I quite like these and found them a great fit for me... When I don't smother my fingers in butter and drop them all over the place. But if you're a basshead that listens often to hip-hop, EDM, and/or prefers a fresher style and a more comfortable fit, there are Sony and Beats options in this price range. They may be better for you. On the other hand, if you have smaller ears, enjoy watching videos often, prefer a (relatively) more balanced sound and aren't overly clumsy, I highly recommend these.
I already own about 8 pairs of headphones, mostly wired ones including Sennheiser HD600, some Beats, Grados and AKG, as well as wired monitors, and a single pair of BT earbuds by Sony. I decided to get these purely based on my new phone not having a headphone jack, I'm not really a fan of Bluetooth as a rule and the Sony buds I have can be uncomfortable. I do have a dedicated FLAC player I use when travelling along with wired headphones, but I wanted something to just go with my phone when I didn't want to be carting too much stuff around. I chose these as they're by a brand I rate highly, and they're not crazy expensive, which was a big factor when I already have expensive wired options. I chose these as they're by a brand I rate highly, and they're not crazy expensive, which was a big factor when I already have expensive wired options. For the price they're wonderful, sharp and crisp, excellent build quality and feel high end and well made in the hand, a nice amount of bass and the mids are clean, very much a V on the sound spectrum, but most modern headphones are, Sennheiser have an app to pair with so you can tweak the sound to fit your needs. A great, versatile option for listening to all kinds of music. I tested them on Tidal, listening to all sorts of Master quality music, some with Dolby atmos and it handled everything beautifully, and it really shone with the more bassy offerings I sampled. The active noise cancellation works really well, although it'd be nice to know which is on/off without having to work it out by yourself using noise in the background. It does have a power on/off prompt and a beep when you've reached max/min volume so I'm not sure why they couldn't have added an ANC on/off prompt. Mine's off now, and shall remain off unless I press the button by accident. The UI for me is a bit fiddly, too many buttons on one ear, I think the play/skip and volume rocker should have been on one side, with the voice assistant (do people really use Alexa etc on their headphones?) ANC, and power buttons on the other side, but that's a minor gripe as I tend to control things via my watch or phone anyway. The only thing I was slightly disappointed with was the volume, or lack thereof, but then I'm used to much louder cans that gobble up more Ohms than these, I mean they're perfectly loud, they just lack the oomph my wired cans have. I'd prefer to have something overly loud I can turn down than something that's not quite loud enough even at full whack, but I'm not too upset, I'll soon get used to them. Also, the ear cups have very small openings. I'm lucky in that I have dainty ears, but if you've got a substantial lug, you might have trouble, although Ebay have some that have a much more capacious cup for very little money. For the price these are a real steal. I've listened to much worse BT headphones than these that are upwards of £400 a pair, and I don't think I've listened to any at this price point that are better. They're £200 headphones in my opinion, selling for almost half that.
As the title describes, if you're going to buy these, only get them on sale, otherwise you'd be better off buying a bit higher for something a lot nicer. The sound quality is nice, not a whole lot of noticeable difference compared to headphones half the price, but they seem to handle increased bass a bit better. The feel is hard to get used to, the headband pad is thin and not very dense nor thick to provide comfort. The ANC is near useless considering it sounds terrible without it, it's like listening to yourself in a sealed chamber, so it seems they made a problem and then solved it, leaving it at no greater advantage. The audio cable they provide also seems proprietary, I haven't bothered to look for replacement options, but it uses a twist lock mechanism to ... MoreAs the title describes, if you're going to buy these, only get them on sale, otherwise you'd be better off buying a bit higher for something a lot nicer. The audio cable they provide also seems proprietary, I haven't bothered to look for replacement options, but it uses a twist lock mechanism to prevent it disconnecting accidentally, but the switch between 2 different jacks is kind of counterintuitive to the intention of USB-C being the one all. I do however like the carry bag provided, and the implementation of USB-C makes it a lot easier to find a charger.
This is a decent headset at a good price if you are realistic about what you need them to do. Listen to music and make calls on your phone only? Fantastic! There are, however, a few things you should know up front. This is a good headset for listening to music or talking on the phone as long as it won't be an extended session. It isn't great for games on PC and doesn't work with the Xbox Series X. The dual connect feature has only caused the headset to disconnect from my PC every 30 seconds or so. As there is no way to control the connection from the headset, I have to turn off BT on my phone. If you aren't listening to lossless music, not much difference in quality between these and my Logitech headset. These are ON EAR, not over ear phones. I have small ears that fit inside the cups, but not comfortably for more than an hour tops. The real problem is that the noise cancelling is terrible. I still hear my keyboard. I still hear my housemate coughing. The active noise cancellation just can't handle short sharp sounds. On the upside, I can't hear my PC fan when gaming. On the downside, I can still hear the traffic outside. Again, the sound quality is great if you are playing music and the noise cancelling problems aren't as noticeable. Not only that but the battery life is marvellous and once paired up with the TV I just pick them up and switch on and I'm set up for the evening's viewing with no discomfort from prolonged wearing. I'm very impressed with these Sennheiser HD 450BT headphones and would not hesitate to recommend them to any one. For this price - unbeatable.
