Sennheiser HD 600 Headphones

Store DJ were awesome and sent the headphones very quickly. I have purchased a number of items from them and they have always been top notch! The headphones are amazing. They are easily the most comfortable headphones I have ever worn. There are so many great review videos on Youtube for these headphones, that get into the technical aspect of the HD600's. I researched these greatly before my purchase and feel like they are a fair and accurate representation. I like the fact that the earpads and headband foam are replaceable. These are generally the things that deteriorate first on my headphones. I also like these as a studio headphone for my home recordings. Overall a great quality, amazing sounding set of headphones at a very competitive price at Store DJ. I am super happy with them :)

I actually own the HD 58X model done through a Massdrop x Sennheiser collab. They're very similar to the HD 600s. They're open back meaning others can hear what you are listening to but it also creates a sound stage that feels similar to being at a concert. Had them for over 2 years now and still in great condition. Given with head phones for this price point, I'd rather take care of them then beat them around.

Being open backed these are best used in a quiet environment but once you are listening you'll hear details you've never heard before in songs you've played a million times. The packaging is simple and gives you only what you need, however given these headphones are pretty powerful you will want to pick up a DAC to amplify the sound (Fiio are a good brand to take a look at) and maybe a balanced cable to make the most of the sound. They're not cheap, but you can get quickly carried away by pricey, exotic headphones without improving the quality of your work. The Sennheiser HD 600 is a very good headphone, its comfortable and light at only 260 g, far lighter than most headsets its price point. The Velour pads and cushioned headband are soft and supple when broken in, and the clamp while initially strong loosens up over time. The HD 600 is quite similar to the HD650 which I also own and after testing both I observed the 600's have less clamp than the 650's. The 600's do not have the same durability as the 650's however as the 650's have a more stronger and dent resistant grill and better cables. The sound of the 600's are more detailed when vocals are concerned, although bass is not as precise. In summary if you were to consider either of these headphones some points to consider are:- HD 600's are better for heavy vocal music, rock, metal, classical,violin, which do not place an emphasis on bass. The HD 650's are better with almost everything but shine well with trap, dubstep, EDM, Hip Hop and other genres that need bass to bring out the best in the music. Overall these are a very solid choice of headphones that are the standard in the audiophileand music industry for years from 1997 till today.

Best audiophile experience for the price

Very good, balanced audiophile headphones. A warning to those who prefer one side over the other: these have a balanced soundscape with little bias towards bass or treble. The sound is very 3D and instruments are dynamic and easily discernable. There's a reason why Sennheiser has stuck around.

Amazing timbre, generally pleasing tonality, light weight and great comfort. Only a few nitpicks. Firstly, There is a level of midrange shout that is apparent. It does not hurt the experience too much, and will vary from person to person, but the elevations in frequency response at 1-2kHz and 3-4kHz will irritate some ears. These elevations are better left alone in my opinion, as EQing them leads to some nasal-y vocal timbre. Testing so far was done without a dedicated amp, so with most any amp results may differ. From a comfort perspective, if you have ears that stick out a bit the earpads may not be deep enough to accommodate your ears. Fantastic Sound Quality Without Paying A Premium Price

Easily the best set of headphones I've ever owned but I haven't spent this much money on a pair so that is part of the reason. Very comfortable, easy to wear for extended periods of time and the sound "leakage" is not so loud that it would be a nuisance to others unless the room was completely quiet otherwise. Sound itself is exactly as desired as a reference headset that is flat. I want to hear the music as the musicians intended - no extra bass, treble or mid-range. I can always use an EQ if I want to adjust. So glad I made this purchase.

Nice Sound Detail

A long time ago I had HD 250 Linear headphones, which I remember liking better. You can hear the bass frequencies fine with these, but I like them with more punch. There isn't a lot of isolation. I could still hear knocking at the door in the same room with the volume on medium. I'm pleased with the sound detail and the overall sound quality. I'd agree with any of the positive comments I've read in reviews regarding it. I know I have a good audiophile product. I say they are not comfortable because after listening to about four songs, I feel them squeezing my (thin) head too tightly. I haven't noticed a way to adjust it for that.
