What a completely pleasant surprise! Once I plugged Into my Windows 10 computer, it installed perfectly without a hitch. The volume control on the cord control the full range of volume from 0 to 10. I played my favorite music and the sound quality was amazing. Surprisingly good bass, but very clear highs. The frequency response 60 hz to 16,000 hz, and I believe that is very accurate. I read some good and bad reviews about this headset, and I have tried many headsets, and this one is the best in this price range. I opened up windows dictation software and this microphone recognized every word that I spoke. Never before had a microphone been so accurate for me. I am enormously impressed.

I am in the phone all day with conf calls. After a while cheap headsets have a poor mic, sound bad, or become uncomfortable; until i found these! Great sound cancelation without isolating me, entirely, from my coworkers. Plus, they have that Sennheiser sound-quality! Bought another set for my home office and travel!

For the price, that is. I might not recognize this except that I'm doing some voice recording and decided to put it to the test against two dynamic studio mics and three lav mics. Of course the Shure SM58 and '7B are way ahead. I tried three lavs and hoped it would be at least average. I used the Rode mic that comes with their wireless kit, 1 $15 TRS condenser mic and a Tascam TRS mic for the DR10L. The Sennheiser was at the bottom. There is no depth or fullness to the recording. I had hoped it would be as good as my cheap lav mic and maybe like a modest price Rode or Tascam as above but its nowhere close. Perhaps that might help but I did not have the time nor experience to play with it much. The earphones are OK but a little quiet. Overall, it is compact and folds up nicely but it's only good for voice dictation operations and less accurate than a good mic. It's about as good quality as using my computer internal mic or maybe not even that good. Overall, for the Sennheiser brand and for $60, I expected better. I'd say it ranks at a value of perhaps $20. I had really hoped that for the money I would get a nice mic but came nowhere close. If I have time, maybe I'll post some comparison audio tracks and tape a real lav mic to the headset mic for comparison.

I have just finished testing my new Sennheiser SC 60s, the sixth headset I have purchased in two years, and (at least on day one) they are far and away the best I've ever purchased for under $40. Specifically: * In music playback, they have a subjectively full-frequency response (caveat, this was not evaluated with equipment and, like everyone over 25 I do not have full-frequency hearing). * Sound isolation is moderate, as expected from on-ear rather than over-ear headphones. I wouldn't use these for high-fidelity music reproduction. * Voice recording quality, when mic boom is positioned just outside outer corner of the mouth, was excellent both for recording and over a JoinMe web conference. * Microphone noise cancellation is outstanding. I wouldn't use these for high-fidelity music reproduction. * Voice recording quality, when mic boom is positioned just outside outer corner of the mouth, was excellent both for recording and over a JoinMe web conference. * Microphone noise cancellation is outstanding. During playback of a voice recording made three feet away from a fan, voice was clear, but close listening was necessary to hear the sound of the fan. Recording while one foot from the fan, with wind noise plainly audible during the recording, was reduced at playback to just a mild and undistracting sound audible behind the clear voice. * Microphone directionality permitted loud typing away on a noisy keyboard to be only barely audible behind a clear voice during playback. * Comfort is good. These headphones sit gently on the ear, but I would not want to wear them all day. * Compatibility: Headset was instantly recognized by Windows 10 computer; no other platform tested. Caveat: While these are the best headphones I have ever used for web conferencing, I don't know how long these qualities will hold up over time. I plan to update this evaluation in a year.
I use a MacBook for work. Working at home. So this works perfect. I always love sennheiser products. It didnt show up in a box. Which surprised me but no big deal. This headset is not quiet as some would say. The mic volume is good. The noise cancellation is great. I like it. No complaints. The build quality is ok but this is what you should expect from a product of this price point. The rule of thumb is to take care of it and always have a backup ready just in case. I like the controls
I wanted to good noise cancelling microphone to make audio recordings in my office. The USB choice seemed superior, since the microphone maker can digitize the audio immediately with the A-to-D of choice, with their best matching circuit . I also felt a headset would keep the mike at a consistent distance from my mouth from day to day, and when the head turns. I tried a Logitech phone center headset, and while the quality was quite good, you could tell some signal processing was going on to optimize for the telephone. I didn't want that. So far, this Sennheiser is doing everything well, with what I believe is true frequency response in the microphone, with very good noise cancelling action. You are paying money for the best microphone, not earphones, which are only OK.
I was not expecting much improvement but wow this headset is amazing at noise cancellation. People can hear me clearly and they can't hear any of my background noise. You can see for yourself when you check the microphone level to see how much noise it cancels out. For me a push on the touchpad was being very loud to the other party because the laptop was using a in-built microphone. However, when I switched to this headset, the same push on the touchpad didn't even register in the sound level. It's a bit uncomfortable to wear all day probably but I just make a habit of taking it off after the call ends and it works fine.
This is a Great headset. For about $40 you get great sound, very confortable, simple to use. Call quality is outstanding. Works perfectly with Skype / Lync. You just plug it in and is ready. Just configure quick on Skype and you are ready. Highly recommended.
THE GOOD: I love the sound quality love that it's lightweight I've worn them for 12-14 hours at a time for work. Of course after wearing them for a while your ear will hurt. I would start feeling these after about 8 hours.Maybe if the cushions were bigger it might help that.THE BAD: I've had my last pair for 6 years and the wires around the controller became frayed which caused static.Other than that a very good headset been working from home since 2014 definitely would recommend
Arrived packed in a plain PE bag as a bunch of carrots. No box, no documentation even primitive. Looks like a used or refurbished product. I bought it as a present, now have to return it, lost a week. The product description on the web site doesn't say anything about packaging.
