After reading numerous reviews about this gadget I was still somewhat apprehensive about buying it due to the age of our a/c..i figured if it didn't work I simply return it. I reckon I'll be hanging onto it. It's absolutely brilliant. Setup was very straight forward, linked it to Alexa, tested everything out..worked like a charm. No need for the original remote. All commands i gave via Alexa just simply worked. If you want to turn a dumb a/c into a smart one, this gadget is all you need. can't praise it enough. Excellent!!!

I really like this little gadget. It has been fairly reliable and has really helped me manage my cooling costs. The problem is the business model. The company charges a lot to buy the units and then charges again to unlock the full features of the software. The full features are not essential but they are also not worth the price of subscribing. So needless to say once the units break I won't be buying again.

Setup wasn't as easy as it could be - the process stopped and needed manual intervention several times. The QR code was also too small for my phone to focus on. But once running, it's brilliant. Works so well, and being able to turn on the A/C before heading home, to enter a cool house, is so nice. Much easier scheduling than the timer on the AC remote too. Great device, and good value at the sale price. Works with 3 different ACs in my house, and unlocked a swing feature in one, that isn't available on the unit's own (basic) remote, so that was a bonus.

When it works, this is truly amazing. The trouble is it keeps not wanting to connect to my network. I even signed up for the yearly subscription for the extra features and anticipated buying another 4 of them for the rest of the house. Unfortunately I will be looking elsewhere as this is so problematic. It's the ONLY device that I have that has so much issue connecting to wifi. It will work for 3-10 days before the dreaded double blink of blue LED. No amount of turning it off or on will fix it, i then have to power it off, turn of all my meshed WAP's. Power the WAP's wait for the SSID to show up on my phone, then power this thing on. I have a new split system and bought a matching brand wifi controller a few months ago. After several attempt to get it to connect to the wifi network I gave up and returned it to the manufacturer. When I saw the Sensibo Sky being demonstrated on TV I gave it another shot.It was a bit of a fiddle setting it up but once I did it performed perfectly. Now I can control my AC remotely and easily.Would recommend this product.
I have two cats at home and I need to know that the temperature is safe for them. So before work I set the settings on my aircon, and leave. Sensibo also has an inbuilt temperature sensor. So I f I need to adjust the temperature, for example, for an unexpected change in weather, I can, right from the app.Sensibo was simple to install and works perfectly. What a fantastic piece of tech.
I have two Sensibo devices connecting to split systems. Both are reliably great. Simple and quick setup, thorough app interface, and connects to Google Home without issue. I'm a bog fan and would strongly encourage anyone considering purchasing a unit to do so. I have tried a number of alternative IR/wifi devices but Sensibo has the most robust and feature rich proucts. Note: I can only speak to connection with Android, not iOS.
Very convenient. I already have two and being able to turn my AC units on before I get home on a 42degC day is just great. Also, when on holidays I can monitor the room temperatures an if I think our house car=ts are in danger of heat stress, I can turn the AC on from my mobile phone. Good service from web site if you have problems setting up. NOTE: Don't hide the Sensibo behind anything. IR signals - while strong - won't penetrate objects that don't transmit light waves. NOTE Again: Sensibo Sky only works with AC or heating systems that you would normally operate with an IR remote!
I love the Sensibo product, except when it goes down. It can't be reset if you're not there. We live in Arizona and recently left the house for a vacation and the sensibo stopped working. I contacted the help desk and found there's no solution other than you have to be at the home to unplug, wait a minute then plug back in or put a pin in it to totally reset it. That makes the product a 3 in my review. They need to figure out a reset of the sensor when you're away.
Today was the first hot day I get to test my new air conditioner - it was wonderful to lie in bed and decide I want the air conditioner on - so I opened up the app on my iPad and just pressed a button and voila! - no getting up and hunting around for the remote.After I had the air conditioner on for a while I switched to " silent mode" and it is indeed quiet and yet I still get that gentle breeze into the bedroom.I also liked being able to check the temperature grphs in the app to see how the inside temp compared to the outside temp.I did have a bit of a hiccough getting my Sensibo to talk to my Wifi - but after a second go of following the instructions It worked fine!
