I have always had sensitive teeth. The dentist would roll his eyes when I told him the rinse water was too cold, and made him add some warmer water. When I saw the ads on television, I thought yeah right, but figured it was worth a try. This has proved to be true. I like the taste, and that it started working right away. So now I wouldn't be able to use a regular toothpaste. I thought about trying some of the other brands that are for sensitive teeth , but when you find something that works why would you change?

Great product

Been using this for years. I switched to sensodyne because I kept getting sores in my mouth from the sodium laryl sulfate which is meant for washing your car that you find all the major brands like aquafresh, crest etc. some sensodyne products have it as well. But since the change I have yet to have a single sore. My enamel is good and strong my teeth are clean feeling all day unless I have a bunch of sugar. Could not recommend anything else my only gripe is I wish it was more affordable for every consumer

I can not buy this product again

I've used Sensodyne for years and Pronamel Gentle Whitening seemed like a good idea. However, after about a week I began experiencing sensitivity to hot and cold, sweet and sour, acid or alkaline very painful reactions. When I asked my dentist, he told me that older folks should never use any kind of bleaching product on their teeth, that the bleach unplugs tiny tubes in teeth that lead directly to nerves that react to whatever is put in the mouth. I returned the Gentle Whitening to BJ's for refund and was disappointed to learn that the Sensodyne Pronamel product without bleaching was no longer offered for sale. I contacted Sensodyne and they told me that retailers choose what products they wish to offer on their shelves. I am very disappointed that BJ's no longer stocks the Sensodyne Pronamel Mint Essence 3 pk6.5 oz non-bleaching toothpaste and instead offers Gentle Bleaching and Strong Bleaching both of which are damaging. I suggest that BJ's contact dentists to verify my experience. GSK Sensodyne will admit that their bleaching formulas will harm a small percentage of users, but that is all they will say. Please restore Sensodyne Pronamel non-bleaching toothpaste?

No sensitivity to hot or cold after using

I forgot my toothbrush and toothpaste while away from home for a wedding and I always have to use a toothpaste for sensitive teeth, which my normal brand is not sensodyne but it was the only sensitive toothpaste in a travel size. I really liked it and no problems at all with sensitivity to coffee or treating ourselves to DQ blizzard on way home after dieting for the wedding! It is a bit more expensive than my normal brand so I’m not sure that I will continue to use after this is gone unless I have a coupon or it is on sale but it works great!

Reinforces sensitive teeth.

Yes, this product really is effective, but you have to use it right. So when you have gently brushed for 3 minutes, spit out but do not rinse. Leave residue in mouth. This is when the ingredients get to work. Do not rinse with water or mouthwash. Do not eat or drink for half an hour if possible. The sensitivity will ease within the duration of the first tube, and life is good now.

This Product Works and is Worth Its Extra Cost

At my dentist’s recommendation, I started using this product twice-a-day several years ago (I use Aquafresh after lunch because you’re only supposed to use Pronamel twice a day). It took a year, but gradually I lost all hot/cold sensitivity. Now, I can drink hot tea or eat ice cream with total impunity; I don’t even hesitate anymore. Again, it happened gradually over a year or so, but my teeth are now a beautiful natural white. My dentist explained that tooth yellowing may be due to staining but is more often due to thinning enamel allowing the yellow of the materials below it to show through. Most importantly, my dentist can measure the thickness and hardness of my enamel and he comments every time on how healthy my enamel is.
