Love this product. I use it for a couple weeks before, during, and after teeth whitening products as it helps with the sensitivity. This product is not an immediate-result product. You do truly have to use it for a couple weeks in order for it to really benefit your enamel. Also, it is a bit different than regular toothpaste. If I had to compare it to a feeling or sensation difference, say regular toothpaste is "carbonated" in the sense of giving you that tingly feeling... vs. this toothpaste being "un-carbonated" aka no tingly feeling but ultimately way better for your teeth and enamel.

It is not an extreme overnight whitening toothpaste. Most whitening toothpastes cause sensitivity and this one helps relieve sensitivity while providing gentle whitening overtime. I was told by my dentist to get sensodyne toothpaste for the sensitivity in my front teeth. I was told the best way to see improvement was to rub the toothpaste onto your teeth and allow it to sit for a few minutes before brushing. It has helped a lot. I also love that it gives the gentle whitening that doesn't hurt my teeth. In the past I used regular whitening toothpastes and it caused major sensitivity issues. I have this as my at home toothpaste as well as my travel toothpaste for my invisalign.

Awful texture and flavor made me gag

I’ve been using different versions of Sensodyne/Pronamel, and I don’t usually stick to a specific kind because I can’t remember what I normally get (they all look the same!). Most of the different denominations are great, gentle, and very cleansing. This particular combo stands out in a terrible way, though! I did a double take to see if it was expired — nope, still a year to go. The texture is gritty and chalky, which made me really worried I would damage my already depleted enamel. And by the end of my first brushing, I could barely stand the taste. It’s such a weird departure from all the other Sensodyne toothpastes. It made me wonder if there’s one or two ingredients in this version that spoils quickly, so I tossed the whole twin-pack. $12 down the drain!

I didn't immediately suspect the toothpaste because I had never had anything like that happen. But after two more uses I woke up with swollen lips, burning gums, and multiple canker sores. I immediately stopped using the toothpaste and looked online to see if others had the same experience. I wish I had read all of the reviews first because I wouldn't have taken a chance. This ended up causing pain and trouble eating and brushing my teeth for several more days. I have used Sensodyne ProNamel for years. About a month ago, I went to buy more and the store was out of ProNamel. I trusted Sensodyne products, so I bought Sensodyne Repair and Protect instead of ProNamel. HUGE mistake. Within a couple of days, my mouth and tongue broke out in horrible sores and burning, lips broke out and got chapped, gums bled, etc. it was so bad that the doctor diagnosed oral shingles and put me on Valacyclovir. A few days later, I went on vacation and the problem cleared up, which I thought was the Valacyclovir. Got home from vacation and my mouth broke out as badly as before. Nothing made sense until, brushing my teeth one night, I realized I had taken travel tubes of ProNamel on vacation - not the Repair and Protect. He needs to warn his patients who use Sensodyne NOT to use Repair and Protect.

Saved my tooth extraction. Great repair product

Dentist said I would need either root canal or tooth extraction. It was my #19 molar giving pain to cold.I was scared to do root canal & made extraction appointment, also terrified. Saw TV commercials.Thought I would postpone dentist and try. Wow, Wow. Thank you. So far it's been 1 month with NO Pain or Coldness. Also, saves my tooth. I have used Sensodyne Repair and Protect for years. I started developing problems with my tongue, mouth and gums shortly after that, but I just figured it was due to something else. My tooth sensitivity did go away and I stopped using it for a while. My mouth problems also stopped but still, I did not put the two things together. When my tooth sensitivity returned, my dentist encouraged me to use Sensodyne again. She assured that it was not the cause of my mouth problems as she gave me free samples. So I gave it a try again. I’ve used it for 6 months. Currently, my tongue is swollen and numb. Little blisters are along the tip of my tongue, and my sense of taste is practically gone.
