But I can honestly say that at my very first application of this foundation it...looked...like...skin. That's never happened to me before! I've spent a full year and a small fortune trying to find a foundation that would look good on my mature, complicated skin, and this is it! I can't speak as to how it will look on dry skin, but it's downright perfect for mine. Thank you Sephora!

I don't like to wear foundation because it's hard to find a good one that doesn't break the bank, because for the few times I wear foundation, it isn't worth the investment. I like that it's quite sheer when mixed with moisturizer and is somewhat buildable.The only thing I don't like is how hard it is to find the correct shade. I purchased 11.5P and it is too pale and grayish, so I bought 13P. It's ok, but still a touch too pale. I'm sure I will get it right eventually. All in all, a decent product and good value for money.

I rarely use any setting powder because I'm always scared to clog my pores even more, so I just finish it off with some bronzer and blush.What I find even more important in maintaining your skin for this (or any) foundation to work is aftercare. I use an oil-based cleanser (you can also use balms if you don't like oily products) to melt my makeup off - make sure to massage your face thoroughly to really get in there. After washing that off, I use a salicylic acid cleanser and I very gently massage my face with a silicone facial scrubber while it lathers on my face. Leave that on for 3-5 minutes then wash it off, and finish with your fav moisturizer! Hope you found it useful especially if you have a similar skin type as I do:)

First off you definitely need to get colored matched for this foundation don't go by what is recommended. After getting color matched WOW this is the first foundation that actually is perfect for my skin tone. I have a really hard time getting a match, everything turns warm on me and it's very frustrating because I do a lot of research on foundation and then find out it doesnt have a color that matches me perfectly. I have been wearing this and testing it out for a month. I'm combination skin and some fine lines. Some people compare this to Giorgio Armani, no its not, armani is a thicker consistency and has more of a glow finish. This however has a more matte/skin type finish and I love it. Just remember not everything lays and sits the same on everyone and the canvas you're applying your products onto makes a huge difference, make sure you have a skin care regime that prepares yours skin for your makeup to be properly applied to.

I dont think ive ever left a review on a product before but i needed to on this. I have normal to dry skin on the drier side and usually 4 pimples at a time so light acne . EVERYTIME I wear this foundation i get compliments on my skin. This foundation is not the fullest coverage but the shade match is spot on (at least for me ) which is rare bc im very pale and almost all foundations,even cool toned , look orange or yellow. It leaves a satin finish without looking too dewy or cakey. But the thing that really sold me is how it melts into my skin and stays on. Recently ive tried nars and make up by mario and even if i set it , it comes off and moves around on my face. Ive also used the new elf concealer under this foundation and it looks great imo. This was one of the samples I got, and I am in love! Especially for the price. I got a sample of 11.5P and it is so perfect for my winter color. I put it on shortly after 2pm today and it held up so well all day long. My prep was my normal skincare routine, which is face wash, hyaluronic acid serum, niacinamide serum, and a good moisturizer. I also really love that it is a light medium coverage that is very easy to blend and build to a fuller medium coverage. I use the sephora makeup match (liquid) foundation brush with this foundation, as it was suggested both online as well as by the employee who helped me and the both the brush and a regular beauty sponge work really well for blending this formula out. I also really love that this foundation doesn’t feel heavy at all on the face, as I can’t even tell when I’m wearing it and often forget about it throughout the day. It’s ability to really stay put makes it even better, as I often find myself rubbing or scratching my face when I forget about the makeup but it always manages to still look flawless at the end of the day no matter what. I cannot reccomend this foundation enough to anyone else who has dry skin.

A bit of background: I've had sensitive skin all my life, so when I find something that works, I am very reluctant to change anything for fear that something will cause an allergic reaction. Especially now that I'm in my mid-40s and have drier skin in general. However, I was out of my usual Tarte Amazon Clay foundation and was waiting for it to go on sale at Ulta. But in the meantime, I was out of foundation. I didn't want to spend a lot of $$$ on anything - so I opted for this Best Skin Ever foundation. Holey smokes! I am so glad I did because it's so much better for me than the Tarte foundation I was using. This is officially my new foundation! It's also $20 cheaper than the Tarte foundation I was using. I stopped by my local Sephora at Kohl's a few weeks ago and asked to be shade-matched. The associate chose 10N for me on the first try, and when I initially looked in the mirror, it looked great. Fast forward to today, I had an event in the evening to attend, and I was excited to try my new foundation. That excitement went down the tubes immediately. It highlighted any and all texture and made me look jaundiced. I am very pale naturally, and this came out yellow on my skin. I was told it would hold up to humidity. It did not. I could feel it sliding within seconds of being outside. I have never wanted to return a beauty item so quickly, and sadly, it did not earn a second chance.

Mostly caused by Sephora's Perfect match system which always seems to want me in a yellow or neutral base. I tried their suggestion for the Lys foundation and it was way too dark (MP3) so I returned it and on the way out the door I saw the display for best skin ever I remember that the Perfect Match system had suggested 19.5P. NOPE! TOO DARK! So I went with my instincts and tested the 14p on my wrist. I was in a hurry for an appointment so I forgot about it until I got home and realized that the wrist with ... I will continue to wear this for as long as Sephora carries it. It doesn't feel heavy and it matches my skin tone perfectly! I was worried it would turn orange like some of the other foundations I've tried but it stays true and perfect through a 10 hour shift.
