I love this kayak other than the whole Boston valve issue. There are 3 sections with Boston valves for filling air. The center Boston valve is a different size from the two on the sides. Don't lose that center one. It is not the "standard" Boston valve size (whatever that is). Quite the design flaw. I lost that center one and I have been having a very hard time finding the right size to replace it. If anyone knows where I can find the right size to replace it, please let me know.

The convenience of being able to take this thing literally anywhere is amazing. With ponds and lakes I couldn’t access from ashore, I can now go with this kayak easily. It’s awesome to be able to take any my buddies with me without sacrificing room and I’m 5’10. Easily one of my favorite purchases in a while, if you’re thinking about buying this I would suggest you go for it!!!

I was very pleased with the quality of this product. The material is heavy and well-made, and the kayak itself is quite well-equipped. There is one drawback, however. Because an inflatable cannot really have recessed rod holders, all of the attachments (including the paddle holders) project out. That is all well and good while fishing, but it creates real problems when paddling -- it is very difficult to paddle smoothly without banging your hand or paddle against one of the projections. Therefore, if you are primarily going to be cruising, and fishing is just a sidelight, you would be much better off buying the regular Colorado model without these fishing attachments.

I got this boat a few months ago and I am really happy with it. Setup is easy and fast and it is just as easy and quick to store. I found that paddling was rough for me due to the distance I travel on the river. So I purchased the Sevylor trolling motor. Just take it out the box put on the prop and mount it on the side as indicated. Its a little tight for two adults but it is perfect for one adult. Just remove the other seat and you are ready to go. Once you figure out were to store your gear for comfort you'll be very satisfied with this kayak. Its tough as nails. Ive gone over stumps and fallen trees in the river and it just keeps on going. I also use a 26lb deep cycle battery and a battery power box with fit perfectly on the rear behind my seat. I use it just about every morning if the weather is good before I go to work. Well worth the money and great investment for someone who does not have a place to store a boat or kayak at home. This thing fits right in the trunk of my Altima along with everything I mentioned above to include life jacket, Portable livewell , anchor, two fishing pole which fit perfectly in the rear rod holders. I get a lot of questions about it were I fish. People are surprised when I tell them I purchased it at Walmart and the price. What gets them though is how fats it sets up and how easy it is to role up and put in the bag put in the trunk and ride off into the sunset. Love my boat.
Boat is awesome! I am 6ft 4in and 350lbs and this thing is perfect. You will need the longer oars like 230mm or so. The rod holders beat up your hands when paddling. For the money this thing is great! I feel 100% comfortable after building a pvc frame for the seat back. The seat that comes with it has minimal support at best for big guys. Rows straight and reasonably speedy. I cannot keep up with the harder rotomolded units. Blows up very quick with air mattress pump.
I did quite a bit of research before buying this kayak and was so happy to find this great deal as it comes with paddles, a pump and pressure measure. On amazon you pay 50$ more for just the boat. The kayak itself is brilliant. My husband is 6'2 and I am 5'10 and there is enough leg space to sit comfortably which I initially was a bit worried about. The seats are fine and you can adjust them to fit your posture. The quality if the kayak is brilliant too we are using it in salt water and it is not a problem (or at least it has not been yet). Inflating and deflating is super quick (7-10min) and the pump does a great job. My suggestion is to get cloves for paddling and pumping though as you get blisters depending in how fast you pump/paddle :)
The bottom noston valve is off center and doesnt hold air. Tight for 2 people fishing. Kinda disappointed.
Paid $550 for the canoe. We use it 3-5 times a year. At two years old the main side bladder blew a 4 inch hole in the seam while drying in the garage (in Tahoe so it's not blistering heat by any means). Sevylor now Coleman doesn't sell or have any help for a replacement bladder??? It's a $500 inflatable device and the seam separated!!! Spoke with Tony the manager at Coleman today and while nice he has nothing to offer but a 35% discount on a new canoe? So I have a $550 disposable kayak...NICE for the consumer and the landfills.Loved it before this however, I would NEVER recommend a Sevylor product again because of this policy. Shame on you Coleman!
I first rented one of these on a river 8 years ago, since then my family has purchased a total of 10 of these throughout the years. We love that these are lightweight and very portable. People always ask us where we got it and were amazed because they had never seen an infatable kayak/canoe before. This combo is priced nicely, and comes with the pressure gauge for the boston valves to ensure 1.5 lbs of pressure. They also come with collapsable paddles and an air pump. I like that the rudders are less pronounced on the bottom now, should be easier to navigate rocks in a river that is very shallow. I also like that the seats can move around (forward or backward) now. It also appears to be 3" narrower, which might actually be good to fit through tight spaces. I miss the cargo net in the back, but can use one from another kayak. Also gone are the cupholders on the seats, but I am sure I will get by without this as well. I like the new color scheme, very pleased with this purchase.
i put my kayak in the water for the first time today and i gotta say its not great. The design isnt bad but the seats are extremely u comfortable, it started loosing air half way into our trip and the fishing pole holders are junk almost lost my pole a few times. the pole holders hit your hands while your paddling and u cant get this thing up to a decent speed. its not a good kayak for $500 your better off getting a real one. hope i save someone else the headache. ill be returning it asap!
