This VACMOP has had problems with performance during the entire year after my purchase. I strongly suggest NOT wasting your money and time on this product unless you want to be plagued with constant quality issues. From day one, I followed the tedious and lengthy process of maintaining this VACMOP according to product manual instructions. Within a month of purchase, I had issues with it traveling into rooms that I did not program it to clean. It also mopped areas that I designated as vacuum-only zones, damaging my rugs. Also, it would repeatedly clean one small area of my floor for no explainable reason. After dealing with numerous performance issues for 6 months, I was issued a replacement. I had to take the time and hassle to program and map my entire house again. ... MoreThis VACMOP has had problems with performance during the entire year after my purchase. I had to take the time and hassle to program and map my entire house again. Six months and 2 days after receiving the replacement, it started making a really loud noise and collected debris behind the filter instead of inside the collection bin. The company will only honor the warranty if a problem occurs during the first year, meaning that their replacement was only under warranty for 6 months. It conveniently stopped working two days after the warranty expired. I have experienced nothing but frustration from using this VACMOP. I wish I hadn’t wasted so much money and time on such a horribly designed, poor quality product.

I was excited to get this vacuum cleaner. In a way, it was a good device. It is easy to use and set up. The mapping feature is quite interesting because it allows you to select specific areas to clean. The product is noisy. It was not an issue for me as I could schedule the vacuum cleaner to work while I was away. I have used this device around ten times maximum in 1 year. Then exactly after a year, it would not work anymore. So I called Shark's customer support who took me through their checkpoint process (about 30 minutes) to tell me in the end that my issue had to be escalated and that a technician would call me back the next day. No one ever called but I received a email explaining that my issue was linked to the battery (not sure how they figured that out as ... MoreI was excited to get this vacuum cleaner. I received the battery, exchanged it with the old one. I turned the device back on but nothing happened (the vacuum cleaner did not even light up) even after waiting for 2 hours, hoping for it to charge. So I called customer support again to hear that my device was no longer under warranty and that I could get a good deal for a new product and an extended warranty (for an additional cost obviously) on their website. I explained to him that I was not only expecting my current device to last more than a year, but also that I expected real technical support. This was important to me. For information, after that call, I put the old battery back in, and this time at least all the lights went on, but the device still didn't work so obviously it wasn't a battery problem. Key take aways: • If you want to use a device ten times or for a year only, this is your product! • If you want to talk to salespeople instead of real customer support technicians, this is your brand! • Overall, this is very disappointing, coming from a brand that claims to be a leader.

Sure enough, when it approached the four legged coffee table in my living room, it gracefully circled around each leg when it was cleaning row by row. After the first vacuuming, I emptied the dust bin and was amazed at how much it collected. To the naked eye, my home didn't look like it really needed much of a vacuuming, so this was an eye opening experience.I decided to wait and use the vac mop function on my wooden kitchen floor later in the day after dinner and it worked wonderfully. When cooking, my husband accidentally dropped a piece of flesh from a serrano chili and we purposely left it on the floor to see if the vac mop would be successful in picking it up and it was! I emptied the dust bin and found the small piece of chili among the many crumbs my boys are responsible for.Every few days, or when I remember, I gently wipe around the entire unit and it's base and find very few long hairs wrapped around the roller of the vacuum. I expected this, as I have very long hair and I know nothing is ever as perfect as it claims to be. Every couple of years I have upgraded my robot vacuums to take advantage of new technologies and options. I recently upgraded my fleet of two Neatos (Roomba was before them) to the Shark AI and have found some very impressive design considerations and improvements by Shark. Setting up the robot is a breeze especially due to its voice prompts. The Shark is a 2.4 GHz WiFi device and was able to join my 2.4 band natively and without me having to disable the 5 GHz dual band, which I appreciated. After I was up and running it next mapped my home and detected which floors contained carpet. I have to say that the mapping was the most accurate I have experienced with robot vacuums and is a very accurate match to my home’s actual floorplan/blueprints. The LIDAR navigation ... The LIDAR navigation enables the robot to intelligently navigate without constant collisions, and I found that it is very adept at managing unexpected obstacles, such as toys left out on the floor. Prior vacuums would push these unexpected items or get caught on them, but the Shark navigates around them without issue. While the roller is not as large as some others I have experienced, actual vacuum performance is every bit just as good which was a surprise. A significant win for Shark is that it has a self-cleaning brush roll that eliminates getting bogged down by hair and lint – with long haired pets this has been a real issue in past vacuums but no longer! The vacuum can operate at different intensity modes, but unfortunately these are not selectable options when scheduling the vacuum to run on its own. Related, I did find that the battery capacity is not as robust as other vacuums so it is not able to clean entire 2,000 square foot levels in one go. This is fine, but when the vacuum returns to its base to charge mid-cleaning cycle that recharge can require more than an hour of downtime. As a result, cleaning a 2,000 square foot level will require a bit over four hours. The app only sends push notices for errors and not of completion, unfortunately, but I must say that this robot is the most self-sufficient one I have owned and despite it not sending me much information during and after a scheduled cleaning, I can rely on it to always deliver a completed job. Mopping is also excellent and intelligent, with zero cleaning fluid discharged onto carpeted surfaces. Overall I am very impressed with the vacuum and love the improvements Shark has introduced.

The device quickly learned the layout of my home, navigating around furniture and other obstacles with ease. It efficiently covers all areas, leaving no corner untouched. The inclusion of virtual 'no-go zones' ensures the robot avoids delicate areas, which is a thoughtful addition. The WiFi connectivity and accompanying app are other standout features. I can easily control the robot, schedule cleanings, and even monitor its progress from my smartphone. The convenience this offers is unparalleled. Additionally, the compatibility with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant is a bonus for hands-free operation.Despite its powerful performance, the device operates quietly, which is greatly appreciated, especially during late-night cleaning sessions. Moreover, the sleek design and compact size allow the robot to seamlessly fit under most furniture, ensuring a thorough clean. Finally, I'd like to commend the self-cleaning brushroll and the easy-to-empty dustbin, which add to the ease of maintenance. The long battery life and self-docking feature for recharging are also notable, providing a truly autonomous cleaning experience. All in all, the Shark - AI Robot Vacuum & Mop with Home Mapping is an outstanding device that has revolutionized my home cleaning routine. It offers a combination of power, efficiency, and smart features that make cleaning hassle-free and effective. If you're seeking to enhance your home cleaning with technology, I can wholeheartedly recommend this product!
Absolute freaking garbage. The little things on the roller that are blue are some kind of cloth and I haven't even had it 2 weeks yet and they're tearing off and fraying and falling apart and the mopping function is hopeless. It sits there doesn't go more than 2 ft and says it's lost. It can't find its way. It's right in front of its dock within a foot and it dumps water all over the floor. Do not buy this piece of junk. It does a decent job sweeping but it it's not going to last long if these things are destroyed on the brush within 2 weeks. I should have stuck with Bissell even though it gets stuck under everything. Now I need to buy a separate one just so it'll mop because this one won't. It doesn't seem to do this as much sweeping but the brush didn't hold up. As far as mopping goes, it's never even completed a whole room. It just gets stuck in one open little tiny area. That's about 2 ft from where it started tops. Total waste of money. If I could take it back I would absolutely junk. Not worth three bucks, let alone 300 and something.
I was excited to grab a Shark robot with a wet-mop feature because we were very happy with our previous Shark robot (ION 720 w/o wifi app feature) and our traditional Shark DuoClean traditional bagless upright.Unfortunately, the Shark AI VacMop Pro RV2001WD is not living up to our high expectations set by their other products.First and foremost, the robot is SIGNIFICANTLY louder than our Shark ION 720. I was willing to watch TV in the other room while the ION randomly wandered the kitchen, dining room and hallway. I cannot listen to the TV while the VacMop is running. I was willing to watch TV in the other room while the ION randomly wandered the kitchen, dining room and hallway. I cannot listen to the TV while the VacMop is running. The device is too loud, too distracting. In fact, the first time I turned it on I assumed I forgot to take a piece of shipping tape off the robot or thought I assembled it wrong (assembly is very easy--a 5 yr old could do it) because it was so loud.Secondly, we never got the VacMop...or rather the APP...to finish processing our room map. 5 days later and I am still waiting for the map to process. I find the map processing to be rather important because unlike the ION, this device doesn't come with magnetic strips to confine or define cleaning spaces.Third, I have run the device 5 times. 3 times the AI wasn't smart enough to avoid a door stop (the kind that is like a spring screwed into baseboard). That wouldn't be a problem except my door stops are at the exact same height as the ON/OFF switch for the VacMop--resulting in the door stop tripping the on/off switch as the robot spun out of harm's way! Three of five attempts to clean my floors thwarted by a doorstop that turned clicked the robot switch to off!The one time we did get a successful dry vacuum of the room (I literally had to put up barriers to define the room space) it was 100 times smarter with its patterns than the Shark ION 720. No more random wandering--it found the perimeter of the room then moved back and forth in straight lines very efficiently. The object sensors seem improved in the VacMop compared to the ION 720 but at times almost seem TOO sensitive as the VacMop had a tendency to come upon corners only to spin and "think" a few times before moving on. One time it got frustrated and just stopped...again, near a door stop in a corner (but this time it the door stop did not hit the on/off switch). I hit the DOCK button to send it back to the charger and it only made it halfway down the hall before giving up again. Because I have had only one successful cleaning in 5 attempts, and no stored maps, I am not sure if the inability to find the charger is a fluke or not. Finally, aside from the noise and on/off switch location design flaw (a flaw from my point of view), it would appear that Shark had improved on the beater bar and brushes as well as the sensitivity of their object detection.Unfortunately, the underperforming app, the noise, and the inconsistent ability to run a full room clean with this AI robot vacuum in my home has me not recommending the Shark VacMop Pro RV2001WD. I was hoping for a set-it and forget-it, smarter app-based experience to wet clean my kitchen and dining room every other day. I am not getting the results I hoped for.
Purchased this vacmop a year ago and have found it to be disappointing but better than nothing. I have found that I need to be home when the vacmop is running because it tends to get stuck or run out of battery and end up in random places. The vacmop does not get corners or along edges very well so I still have to manually vacuum more regularly than I thought I would have to. The mopping function no longer works. When it did, it would use half the reservoir to "prime" itself to mop and then would have to be refilled multiple times in the process which again means that I had to be home while it was running to ensure it could complete the whole room. The vacmop claims to have a self-cleaning brushroll for vacuuming hair but I have to cut hair off the vacuum after ... The vacmop claims to have a self-cleaning brushroll for vacuuming hair but I have to cut hair off the vacuum after every run or it will error out the vacuum. Speaking of errors, the application on the phone does not track where the vacuum cleaned during the run if an error occurs during the run. Thus, if you are not home to witness where the vacuum is when the error occurs, you will just have to run the vacuum over the whole area again. I will say the spot clean function is nice when you want to get leaves and dirt by a door cleaned up quickly just set it on your phone after you walk in, and the dirt is gone without you having to take time to do it. Overall, the value of the product is not great. It is pretty expensive and lacks abilities that it claims to have. I do appreciate not having to vacuum by hand more than once a week though, so I appreciate the value it has brought in that aspect.
I have previously owned another high dollar robot mop brand for years and it worked ok when it worked. Some days I had to spend almost 30 minutes trying to get it to work. It would stop in the middle of mopping not to mention it did nothing for my grout on our tile floor. Since we have owned robot vacs for years and our house is big enough for 3 of them, I was tired of crawling on the floor looking under furniture and beds for them almost daily. They didn’t always return to their self-emptying base. So, I started looking for another brand of robotic mop. I did my research, watching videos and reading reviews on various websites for about a month. I also wanted a mop that would vacuum at the same time it mopped. We decided on the Shark RV2001WD mainly because it had ... MoreI have previously owned another high dollar robot mop brand for years and it worked ok when it worked. They didn’t always return to their self-emptying base. So, I started looking for another brand of robotic mop. I did my research, watching videos and reading reviews on various websites for about a month. I also wanted a mop that would vacuum at the same time it mopped. We decided on the Shark RV2001WD mainly because it had 2 side brushes while other Shark VacMop have only one side brush with air blowing on the opposite side. We purchased our VacMop and set it up to charge all night. The next morning, I ran the explore feature on the laundry room and kitchen, then set no go zone on the area rung in the dining room. After the VacMop was all ready to go I filled the tank with hot water from the tap and put in the solution included from the box, but you can get it anywhere. Then I placed the mop attachment and through the app I set it to start mopping.I was really happy with the way it mopped and vacuumed. The mop reservoir doesn’t hold a lot of fluid and I must fill it twice for my mopping area. This is the only drawback for this shark. After a few days my husband noticed that the grout in our tile was getting lighter. At first, I thought it was just his imagination but then after a few days I realized he was right. I guess the motion movement of the mop head is getting the dirt out of our grout. I was so impressed with the Vac part of this shark as well as the mop head.We have 4 fur babies (2 large and 2 small), they can track in dirt, mud, grass etc. so mopping every day is a must in our house. I have also recommended this Shark to my daughter because she has a lot of tile. Only one time did it get caught on our back door threshold because I forgot to shut the door. It does have trouble going over higher thresholds other than that it doesn’t get stuck under cabinets and always go back to its charging base when the mop head is empty or needs to recharge. This one doesn’t have a self-emptying base but that’s fine because I mainly wanted a mop. I just empty the little dirt or small particles in the dust bin and blow out or take a small brush to remove the debris. Its everything I could ask for with no regrets.
I really wanted to like this machine. But I hate it. It never maps your house properly. It goes in areas I don't want it to and then gets stuck. Even though the wifi signal is strong, it never seems to find it's way back to the charging station. I have literally place it in front of the station and pressed the button for it to dock and it completely leaves the area. It was my biggest waste of money to date. My original irobot was way better. The plus side is that it sweeps well when it does cover the area you want but it may go dock itself before it's completed the job... when it can locate the docking station.
