I bought this bundle around 2 months ago now and LOVE IT! The attachment options give me the flexibility that I need in the morning. From a sleek hair style, to curls, or a quick dry running out the door. The hair dryer itself dries my hair faster than any other dryer! When I curl my hair, it gives me beautiful volume and the curls LAST. Prior to curling, I blow dry my hair about 80-85%, then I section out my hair to curl taking a smaller chunk of hair (maybe around a 1/2 inch). I found that if I did too much with my hair type, it didnāt curl as nicely. After I curl my one side, I spray with hairspray and do NOT run my fingers through. I will leave until I get through the opposite side of my head and repeat the steps above. Spraying with hairspray and leaving the ...Ā MoreI bought this bundle around 2 months ago now and LOVE IT! The larger barrels give me lots of volume, but more of a blowout vs. curls. Both are nice to have!Blow drying and curling my hair takes around 30 minutes. I wanted so badly to love this, but I am disappointed. Let's start with the good- it creates such a cute blowout look. Immediately after I'm done styling, I love it! I also think it's so nice having one tool on the counter instead of 3 or more. It's a little more compact and less bulky which is really nice. The temperature control is very nice for less damage. Now let's get into the bad, and there's a lot. It is LOUD, loud enough that my husband has asked me not to use it until he's done getting ready in the mornings. I also had it in a hotel with some girlfriends and they commented how overly loud it is! Button location on The handle is not good, I am constantly pressing the heat or fan speed buttons by mistake. Hopefully over time I'll grow out of that habit. Now ...Ā MoreI wanted so badly to love this, but I am disappointed. Let's start with the good- it creates such a cute blowout look. I've tried multiple different hair sprays at this point and curl hold products with no avail. I haven't totally given up on this product yet, but for the $300+ price tag I'm just so sad!

With the first use I saw a change, and I am not exaggerating, I was totally impressed, my hair had never looked so beautiful, and with the third use my hair was totally different, I had years without feeling my hair so soft and shiny and it was only the third use, with a change of natural shampoo and conditioner and the shark flex style I was able to save my hair. Words are not enough to express my happiness and gratitude, I just want to say thank you for saving my hair! After years of damaged hair, I can finally feel my hair totally healthy and recovered and in so few days! I bought this about a month or two ago and I am definitely glad I did but I have a list of some pros and cons. For the record, I have 3b-3c hair. Pretty curly, prone to frizz and usually quite dry.Pros:1. Comes with a durable travel case.2. Includes many attachments in the standard bundle.3. Blow dries hair very quickly.4. I love that the handle has the turn around function for the arm (I don't know what to call it, hopefully you know what I mean.)5. Once you get the hang of it, the curls are pretty and it is lazy girl approved. Styling with this really is pretty easy, i.e. "it's a breeze".6. The straightening brush is excellent and gives my hair a very glossy, straight blowout. It is by far my favorite attachment.Cons:1. The straightening brush is excellent and gives my hair a very glossy, straight blowout. It is by far my favorite attachment.Cons:1. The "curls" are really more like "waves" if you don't use a ton of product OR have mid-short length hair. A lot of the youtube videos of women trying this device hair very long hair or extensions in and they are able to achieve beautiful curls but I do not use products other than heat protectant and I have mid length (about breast-length) hair so the curls fall out quickly after completing the style and are more beach wavy.2. Having to change the barrels definitely sucks because if you are using any heat at all the attachments can get pretty hot and hurt your fingers.3. Though I love that the arm piece swivels around, it is a bit loose or clunky I guess? It rattles when using it turned down to create the arm.4. It is incredibly loud.... It's okay, most blow dryers are but I figured with this price $ tag and how far we've come technologically, I do feel this should be a bit quieter.5. Because the cord is so thick-coated and the bottom (where the cord connects) is full of the guts of the machine, it is a very bottom heavy tool. I have a vanity and if I set it on its side the weight of the bottom pulls the whole tool down so it doesn't stand up well.Overall, I do like the tool and I use it daily now and my hair does feel much better than my previous styling routine, but for the price point paid I wouldn't say it's able to replace all other hair tools as I often go in and pick pieces to curl with my curling iron and to get pin straight hair I use my straightener.
This baby just got delivered yesterday and I could not wait to try it.I did my wash day, and loaded on all of my prep products for my longer straight, fine hair that I have cut into layers with some face framing.I let my hair towel dry for anywhere from 10-20 minutes and itās still really damp when I take it out of the towel. So I used my concentrator attachment first to rough dry- then went in with the paddle brush at the root and got most of the tops of my hair dried fairly well.I then went in with the air wrap attachments and it gives such a beautiful blowout look. Like, girls and guys and everyone needs to own this tool. No- my curls didnāt stay in the exact shape for ever- but if thatās what you want, remember this is still a blow dryer and itās supposed to ...Ā MoreThis baby just got delivered yesterday and I could not wait to try it.I did my wash day, and loaded on all of my prep products for my longer straight, fine hair that I have cut into layers with some face framing.I let my hair towel dry for anywhere from 10-20 minutes and itās still really damp when I take it out of the towel. Like, girls and guys and everyone needs to own this tool. No- my curls didnāt stay in the exact shape for ever- but if thatās what you want, remember this is still a blow dryer and itās supposed to give blowout unsupported curls. If I would have prepped with lots of hairspray and hair rollers Iām sure my curls would have stayed much longer, but the volume and the shape of the blowout has indeed stayed overnight. I feel like the longer I have this, then the more I will master the air wrap length of curl hold for sure. I did watch lots of videos/tutorials before this was delievered so I kind of knew what to expect.Whether you want a sleek and voluminous blowout of some beautiful flowing light and airy curls- this is for you. Iām impressed. Itās obviously nerve racking in this economy to pay a lot for a tool that youāre not certain will live up to the hype, but I have no doubt that I will use this every day, or every wash day at the very least. Itās amazing as a blow dryer on its own but as a styler, it really exceeds my expectations.I am very happy with my purchase and I have no need to be using anything else in the foreseeable future.Ps: I was always an avid beach wave and curl styled every single days and when Covid hit, I lost a tremendous amount of hair. So now that I have this tool that can minimize damaging my fine hair that I have been working so hard to maintain the health and length of, I am pleased with the power of this tool.
I am the type of person who would ALWAYS air dry - in part because less heat damage, but mainly because I am chronically running late and heat products tend to make my medium-fine wavy hair very frizzy. I have a Conair blow dryer that I bought specifically to use a diffuser with and the Revlon one step, but this replaces both of them. I have hair on the longer side, and I kid you not that it takes me 5-8 minutes to style my hair from wet to polished.I minimize the time it takes by getting to a ~50% damp state first, either through time or scrunching with an old t-shirt, then get to 80+% dry in blow dry mode on high fan/high heat, using the concentrator to avoid too much frizz. From there, my go-to is the curlers, still high fan/high heat. I'm hoping to try out the paddle brush and see how that works. I've tried the diffuser but I still haven't totally figured out which products work best for my hair to rock it curly. In terms of the sound/loudness, I have pretty sensitive hearing but don't find it too-too loud. I will say that sometimes it makes an annoying noise if the fan is on the middle setting, and I wonder if that's the noise that people are complaining about.
I loved every single thing about this product. However, I feel that when they say that thereās no heat damage to your hair that that is not correct there doesnāt seem to be any proof of that. Iām pretty sure when you apply anything to your hair or scalp that is hot enough to burn you that it will most certainly caused some level of heat damage, so I think that that is not OK to post on the packaging but anyone with hair who is looking for an item such as this would be mindful enough to know this already that they should always be wearing some kind of protectant or just be mindful about the heat levels. However, I feel that when they say that thereās no heat damage to your hair that that is not correct there doesnāt seem to be any proof of that. Iāve noticed that this hairdryer comes with a couple of different variations of attachments when you buy it I really love the attachments a lot. They are meant for all different hair types. My favorite attachments are the curlers, and the reason for this is because other products have tried to emulate the functionality that this product has magically managed to create in a way that is fully functional. Youāve probably seen other curling irons, and other things of that nature that say that itās self curling, this method of curling has been tried, and 1 billion different styles and ways and for me personally I think that they all have failed at this attempted, self curling idea all except for this product the execution was rather remarkable seeing as it actually works, and I donāt mind putting in a little extra effort when it comes to self curling ideas as long as itās not the level of effort that it would take to just take a curling iron and do it the manual way which seems to be all that is on the market really outside of this product. Not only did shark create a blow dryer that uses air technology to style your hair, which includes this great curling iron, but the self curling iron attachment that you use uses air technology to wrap your hair all by itself around the rod of the curler. Does this sound unreal? I thought so too until I tried it! It really is like that folks! This whole product idea and execution is so remarkably amazing that they deserve a standing ovation for achieving this, I feel like! I think that the curling attachment is hyper, functional, considering how it works and the fact that you donāt have to wrap manually around a rod yourself using either that clip on the curler or your hand around a wand. This thing will grab your hair gently, of course, and as you wiggle it up your hair, it will curl that all the way around that right as you go up all by itself, you do not have to even move your wrist which is just amazing! I will say that it does kind of expect you to use smaller chunks of hair to achieve success with this tool which is fine. It just means a little more mindful of time management when youāre doing your hair say, for an event. I really wish that I could complain about how the product packaging mentions to part your hair in these chunks that are small and like to be careful about like the possibility of surrounding hair, catching onto the rod and curling with it, which would be weird. It wouldnāt hurt anything but it would just make your curls weird, but I canāt complain about that. The honest to god truth is, it doesnāt really give me an issue in that area, and even if it did like such a small thing that can be easily mitigated. As someone with a very thick and difficult to curl hair, I have always had trouble using curling wand of any kind or any kind of curling tool, because my hair just wonāt hold the curl at all, I mean, it does for a second and then it doesnāt, even when I use product so I was discouraged at first glance, but even these curly ones will take my hair, and it will apply an effective curl! I recommend using product where necessary, because that is important and following like all your normal pre-and post curling ideas and tips and tricks and things alongside this, but it is incredible that air technology I want to tone is the thing that is capable of curling my hair, especially because itās not even done that when applied to direct heat on a hot rod of a curler. Once again, Iām just gonna say that it is remarkable. I mean that it is crazy amazing! The diffuser is wonderful too in that it has a switchable setting meant specifically for adjusting based on length of hair which is a beautiful feature for me as I have long thick hair myself. The round brush is great too for the smoothing and defrizzing needs you have even without the need for antifrizz products! The craftsmanship is gorgeous on this air styler making it feel worth the money spent all by itself, and the optional pivot is such a great addition for the diffuser for me personally considering the size of this air styler when positioned upwards in its natural position. The only downside that I feel is worth a one-hundred percent mention is thisā¦this air stylerā¦is the loudest blow dryer styling tool you are ever going to know. It is remarkably loud even in the lowest air output setting and itās not good at all. It lets off a sound when it is blowing that sounds of course similar to a normal blow dryer except more like a jet plane engine with a very noticeable sort of high sounding whine in the backdrop of the blowing itās pretty terrible and most certainly not at all for those of us who live in any apartment complex with neighbors who are sensitive to noises when you have an early or late night job and want to use this to prep for work at odd hours. This wonāt be acceptable in those settings. I still give this five stars all around regardless of the noise it puts off though. Everything else is A+. Do buy this!
After watching many many videos on IG/TikTok/YouTube I decided to take the plunge and invest in the Flex Style. After 10 years of a cheap, hair damaging dryer, I thought it was time to invest in a quality hair dryer. I heavily debated between the Flex Style and the Speed Style. I ended up going with the Flex because of the "curling wands". Sadly, they don't keep my hair curled for my smooth/medium/fine hair whatsoever. I could see this working better for textured/thick hair. I end up always having to go back through with a curling wand. My hair looks curled and voluminous immediately after and then by the time the other side of my hair is done, the first half has fallen out. I use product and have used all the tips. For me, this is simply an extravagant blow out tool and it's disappointing for the price and I feel duped! I had a Revlon blowout brush and that does the job just the same, for much less. Going forward since I have it now, I'll be using the round/flat brush attachments to smooth things out and give volume at the roots and then use a real curling wand to achieve soft waves. After learning more, I think I would have been happier with the Smooth Style brush tool. I hadn't considered it before because I was searching for a hair dryer. I will say the heat/air output of the hair dryer itself is great and my hair dries quick. If you're like me, with fine hair, a budget, and just looking for a new hair dyer, save your self money and get the Speed Style that uses the same tools or just get the Smooth Style styling tool.
After seeing COUNTLESS videos of people using and loving the Shark for a much more affordable price than other similar stylers, I decided to order it and try it for myself!I have fine, straight hair, a few inches past my shoulders. I was convinced I could get loose, fluffy curls with this based on how Iād seen others use it.I found the auto wrap curlers (both the 1.25ā and 0.95ā) a bit short for my hair, and despite the many tips I used, I couldnāt get a section onto the barrel without the ends wrapping below the attachmentI tried several different products to help get the ācurlsā to hold their shape, but they fell very flat every single time.I donāt want to pin this all on the product, though there were certainly things that could be improved upon (option ...Ā MoreAfter seeing COUNTLESS videos of people using and loving the Shark for a much more affordable price than other similar stylers, I decided to order it and try it for myself!I have fine, straight hair, a few inches past my shoulders. It takes some learning, some trial and error to figure it out, but ultimately it just wasnāt worth it to me. Spending 30 minutes ācurlingā my hair for it to have a very slight flip on the end within 30 minutes of finishing was quite the disappointment.Ultimately, this is not the right tool for me.
I am so impressed with the Shark FlexStyle! With other multi-stylers I've tried in the past, I usually end up using only one or two of the attachments because the rest are less relevant to my needs. This is the only hair tool where I've found every single attachment is useful and works as promised. The hair dryer is powerful so it's able to dry my thick, 3A curly hair in a short amount of time. The concentrator gives me more control so I can focus on drying specific areas of my hair that are still wet and preventing already dry sections from getting unnecessary heat or blowing all over the place and looking messy. The diffuser reaches my roots and allows me to shape my curls without adding any frizz. The auto wrap curlers don't tug on or break my hair. It comes with separate left and right barrels to ensure each side of hair is curled the proper direction to provide a fuller look. The oval brush adds lift and bounce to create a smooth and sleek blowout. I appreciate being able to adjust the heat and airflow settings so that I can style within my time constraints but also avoid heat damage. Between using the cool shot button and an additional product for extra hold, my hairstyles last all day!
