The incredible Shark Navigator Pet Vacuum just got a whole lot better with the addition of a self-cleaning brushroll which actively reduces hair wrap and removes hair from the bristles no matter how long or short the hair is. The powerful suction pulls in both hair and debris and cleans the brushroll as you vacuum. This is a gamechanger for anyone that has pets and will deep clean your home from top to bottom. Features an extra large dust capacity and an integrated, extendable hose which provides up to 3.6 metres of total reach, making it easier than ever to clean stairs or under furniture. The lightweight design makes it comfortable to use and the three litre capacity means you don't have to keep stopping to empty the dust cup. This is also a great option for allergy sufferers as the sealed HEPA system traps 99.9% of dust and allergens inside the vacuum.

When I first plugged the machine in and turned it on, it kept giving me a red light - make sure you set the suction on the handle as well as the red button on the body of the machine, as in, if you start it on carpet, put the red button to carpet and change the one on the wand to minimum (for carpets). There are 2 tools in the booklet that are not included in this package - if you need the pet brush it is not in this version. All in all, pretty good and I am very happy not having to live with my spider collection in the living areas anymore!

Much less 'power' than my last vacuum but it works better, which is all that matters. Haven't emptied it yet, looks simple, definitely holds more than my last cyclonic vacuum as there is no cyclone device inside the actual bin. Best vacuum I've ever had!
16 August 2022

For anyone who has long hair and/or pets, this vacuum is a dream. No more cutting off hair wrapped around a vacuum head or dealing with clogs, the self-cleaning feature of this model is definitely well worth it. The filters are excellent and you can really tell how deeply it cleans everything compared to more standard models, plus it switches between hard floor and carpet with a simple flick-switch. I love that the hose and extension is built in-- I've had other vacuums where you have to turn the whole appliance off and change out the head for a hose attachment, but with this model, you can get into a crevice or vacuum something high up without any delay, then just put the hose back in and continue along the floor. The cord is a little short for covering a large area, but with an extension or moving between powerpoints, that's an easy trade off for the other benefits.

Good vacuum and would buy again
25 May 2022

This navigator is not as easy to manoeuvre around as a cordless vacuum and is heavier as well. But it vacuums up really well and I am amazed at the amount of dirt it picks up from my carpets and floor. The XL canister is a huge bonus and love the Hepa Filter as well. The switch you use to go from hard floor to carpet is conveniently in easy reach. Vacuum is noisier than a stick vacuum though. I would love to have the lights on the Shark Navigatior head like my stick vacuum as they really do come in handy. All the attachments also fit onto the vacuum itself really well and is a great idea to have them handy and within hands reach at all times for when you need to use them. The cord winds up onto the vacuum nicely and this vacuum was easy to put together from the box. ... MoreThis navigator is not as easy to manoeuvre around as a cordless vacuum and is heavier as well. Powerful cleaning
9 August 2022

After buying stick vacuums for a few years and them inevitably failing, I decided to do some research and find a robust, corded alternative. This has been excellent over the first month. Powerful and thorough clean and having all the attachments right there on the body helps a lot. The ability to remove the cleaning head and reach both down low and up high has meant I am cleaning my house more thoroughly each time, because it only takes a few extra minutes to do the cobwebby corners of the ceiling, the windowsils and the skirting boards while I'm at it. I live with a severe hayfever sufferer and he has noted that the air seems clearer with this vacuum as well. One thing to note this is a heavy and loud unit! Shark Navigator Pros & Cons
11 September 2022

Pros 1. cheap, good value for money2. Really good suction, great for picking up fur from rugs ( my rugs always come out looking really good). Its good on floors too. From furniture ( using attachments) its good but still a bit of work, but we have a Husky X and he sheds A LOT!! It has a big canister though so you dont have to empty it every time. 3. Easy to switch from upright vac to short & long hand held sticks with a press of a button4. Really Good attachments ( love the long skinny one with brush and the upholstery one best)5. Easy to empty & good HEPA filtrationCons 1. Its bulky and because its an upright vac you cant get under furniture without switching to the long stick with an attachment2. The cord is long but it wasnt long enough for my liking, so we put a much longer cord on it. 4. The hose is so tightly coiled that when you try to stretch it, the vacuum sometimes falls over so you really cant stretch it as far as youd like. This actually really bugs me. Im constantly picking up the vacuum if I try to vac something up high or far underneath something. To be honest the Cons almost got to me as I was contemplating returning it. However, after getting used to it, switching the cord to a longer one, loving how my rugs come out , getting the general hang of it and considering the price (super cheap compared to others), I decided to stick with it mostly due to its good suction. Its not perfect by far ( a bit of a pain at times ) but for the price it does the job & is good enough for me at the moment.

Very happy with it
20 February 2023

We don't regret buying this at all. I did read in other reviews that it is heavy, which it is, but not difficult to manoeuvre. It is quieter than our last vacuum. I also appreciate the very large dust chamber. There is a filter sponge and mat before the HEPA filter. So far, I have only had to wash the sponge as very little if anything makes it to the HEPA, so it is filtering very well. My last vacuum clogged the HEPA every vacuum and I had to tap out the dust. The suction is very powerful. I would never have a vacuum without a power head as it doesn't make sense to have to do all that work yourself. The power head on this does the job.

Very happy with my Shark vacuum
23 July 2022

Very happy with my Shark Navigator Pet Vacuum ZU62. It's powerful and easy to push and manoeuvre. I have a polished concrete floor that usually has a layer of dog hair and my own long hair on it and the anti wrap roller head works so well with all that. I also have timber, tiles and carpet floors and it works well on all floors. The dust container is a great large size and I can get the whole house done before needing to empty it. I love the on board and easy to use nozzle/hose/wand, with quick access tool heads, it's so easy to stop and use mid way round the house. The only complaints I have is, I wish it had a longer power cord, that the head was just a little bit narrower (to fit between furniture legs) and the engine/dust bin was a little bit higher up so I can ... MoreVery happy with my Shark Navigator Pet Vacuum ZU62. I previously had a wet and dry Vax for years, which was starting to hurt my back bending over while vacuuming and a Dyson pet stick vacuum, which I still use for a very quick clean until the battery dies. I bought my Shark vacuum for a great price at Target and love it!

After my Miele literally blew up while I was vacuuming, I had to find a new vacuum cleaner. Although I rate the Miele vacuums highly when they are working, having had two blow up on me, I wasnt keen on spending the money again. So, off I went asearching on my Mums Who Clean FB group to find out the general consensus on good vacs.Dysons were still touted as the best by the few loyal diehards but the general agreement was that theyd become overpriced and underwhelming. I was under the impression they were the type of vac you order through a one of those Tele-ads for some reason and never thought to consider them but when I saw how often they were mentioned, I did a deep dive on various customer review sites and was sold by all the talk of both their reasonable price point and great functionality. Good guys happened to be having a sale too so I bit the bullet and bought one.Ive had it for about a month now and have to say- its brilliant!! Great suction on both our hard floors and carpet, easy to keep clean, not too noisy and as Ive mentioned a few times now, the price is right!Id thoroughly recommend a shark vacuum to anyone looking for a reasonably priced rival to the mieles and dysons.
