Tackle any mess with this Shark cordless vacuum cleaner. The QuadClean brushroll deep cleans all floor types, whether it's carpet, lino, or tiles. Time to do under your bed? At least you won't have to bother unclogging it afterwards, as this model's got an Anti Hair Wrap brushroll. Meanwhile, clever Dirt Detect tech uses sensors to adapt to the level of dust, getting rid of the bits you can't even see. And because it's got a 0.4 litre dust capacity, you'll be able to get the downstairs done in one go. Each charge lasts up to 60 minutes as well, so you can navigate each room without having to locate the nearest plug socket. Much easier.

Awful battery, great vacuum, poor accessories

But it's a bit flawed, as the backside of the opening of the attached protrudes higher than the front, reducing suction as there's air release from behind. But generally it's an OK attachment. However, that's it, there's no other attachments, not even an upholstery tool or a small motorised tool for stairs, pet hair etc. And none are available to purchase separately. Likewise, you cannot purchase an additional battery either. All of that said, the vacuum itself, the stand, and the auto-empty system is fantastic. It all works really well and does a thorough clean. But Shark really need to sort out the battery and accessory issues.

It is such a shame about the battery, thinking of taking it back to the store for a refund and buying something cheaper if that is what I am going to get with battery life. Why have an auto mode telling you that your floor is dirty when your vacuum dies trying to vacuum it up. I would give it 5 stars had the battery lasted at least 45min-60min

Personally I’ve always found corded vacuums better at cleaning and pulling dust and dirt out of carpets. I don’t know why but the suction just seems to be stronger on them, so I knew getting this it wasn’t going to be as good as the corded shark Xl. But that being said I didn’t realise how terribly bad it was going to be. I’m shocked at how little this actually picks up. Don’t get me wrong I wanted a lighter weight vacuum that I could easily move around the house with but this feels too light. My other shark you can feel it getting in to the carpets when you’re pushing and pulling it but this one is so light it literally feels like it’s skimming the surface of the carpet and not giving it a deep clean. The battery is extremely poor, you’re lucky if you get 25 minutes out of it.The only good thing about this vacuum is that it’s ideal if you haven’t got time to do a proper vacuum and you just want to make your home look neat if you’ve got someone calling in. And it’s convenient if you need to give your car a little vacuum I suppose. But is it worth getting as a main vacuum for your house? Definitely not. 100% if you’re looking to buy a vacuum for your home, then get the shark Xl corded one. However If you’re silly like me and got money to waste then I’d advise you not to be foolish and make the same mistake as me by getting one.I’m genuinely not sure how this has gotten over 4 stars. I suspect that a lot of the 5 star reviews have come from people who have been gifted these by shark because it honestly isn’t all that.

Dreadful Battery Life & No Accessories Available!

This is the first Shark vacuum I have owned and it will very likely be the last!A family member of mine had recommended Shark vacuums to me because they have a Shark IZ202 cordless vacuum that they absolutely love. When I contacted Shark's support team in Feb 2024, I was advised that they are "still in the process of waiting for spare parts for the IW3611 to arrive in Australia". I just checked the Shark website there (July 2024) and can see that they still don't have any accessories listed for this vacuum model. This is incredibly disappointing!I wish I hadn't bought this vacuum and hope others will not make the same mistake I did.

Great Vacuum - Battery Disappointing
7 January 2024

Purchased this recently and have now used it four times. Great at keeping carpets/floors free of debris and dog hairs (I have a German Shepherd). Battery life is disappointing. I live in a small bungalow and there is only just enough charge to vacuum the entire bungalow, despite having the operation on 'auto' and there only being one or two small places where the amber light comes on to keep vacuuming until blue light. Fully charged, when removed and first switch on the battery life light immediately, and I mean immediately, reduces to three bars. Other than that it is light and easy to manouvre. Despite having studied the instruction manual still haven't figured out how to remove the brush roller but maybe that's just me and my age!! I would recommend to a friend but ensuring 'cons' highlighted

The 1st setting, which auto optimises suction and power for maximum cleaning and has 3 different colour settings (red- heavily soiled areas, orange- when the area is nearly cleaned, blue-when the area is clean). The eco setting saves battery power, and the 3rd setting, which is the boost, maximises the suction on the hoover but uses the most battery. The brush responds to surface changes and will automatically adjust to optimize the clean,If hoovering in dark areas or areas where dirt is hard to see, the light detect will automatically illuminate the area, making it easier for you to see where the dirt is.The cons:You only get 1 attachment, which for this sort of hoover would expect maybe another attachment to clean sofas or pet hair. Rather than just having the bug brush roller head. And as of yet, I can't see any extra attachments on Sharks' website. The battery doesn't last long. A 60-minute charge on auto or eco mode will probably get you through a living room, hallway, and part kitchen before you have to empty the cylinder and recharge again. There was no spare battery, which again would be good to have or at least become available to buy as a backup.Overall I would still rate the hoover 5 stars, the fact that you don't have to empty the cylinder from the hoover after each clean is a bonus, plus it's light, compact and stores nicely in the corner of a room as the cable to the plug is of decent length.

My first ever shark vacuum cleaner!

I had been eyeing up a new vacuum for a while as my aging Dyson cordless was clearly on its way out. After looking at various brands of cordless vac and after friends recommendations, I finally settled on Shark, and so set about doing my research, watching YouTube videos, reading reviews etc and finally wittled the candidates down to 2. My Dyson v6 frequently get clogged up with fine dust inside the cyclone which effected how the unit operated and reduced the suction, and this made it a right faff having to take the thing apart, clean it up and let it dry before being able to use it. With this new shark unit, each time I have finished with the unit and out it back on its down it empties the hoover out so you start fresh each time. Once I had got it home unpacked it, registered it and got it charged, I gave it its first go and the amount of fine dust that it picked up was astounding. Very impressive. What’s also impressive is that the auto emptying system kicked in as it should and cleared the hoover right out removing all the fine dust and other debris from the unit completely. It’s also packed with HEPA filters ninth in the vac itself and in the auto emptying unit which is good for my allergies. My only disappointment is that I didn’t realise the 1.3L model doesn’t come with flexology which is something I really wanted, and had I realised I would have opted for the more expensive 2L model to benefit from this. To that end, I would like to see an upgrade kit be made available so that customers like myself can benefit from the flexology tech. This only needs to be a replacement wand and if necessary a longer pole for the auto empty system as I’m not sure if it’s longer on the higher model. Well done Shark this is great. This unit has all the features I love and aside from the niggle with the flexology, I couldn’t be happier. This is my first shark vacuum cleaner, but won’t be the last.

After a few hours it was fully charged and I was ready to unleash it on my cat hair / leftover-crafts-filled floor. We don’t have a huge house, so I found the Shark Cordless Detect Pro’s battery lasted through-out all three bedrooms, plus the lounge and kitchen / dining area. One charge was enough for me to get everything vacuumed up.The first thing that is noticeable, is just how light the Shark Cordless Detect Pro is - this means it’s able to be used by even my children (much to their disgust), and because it was light, it meant it was extremely easy to manoeuvre.I found the suction power to be really good - I have no complaints about it. You can always tell how good a vacuum’s suction is by how much debris it picks up; specifically animal hair, which we all know can embed itself in the carpet and can be harder to get out.Getting underneath furniture was not a problem as I was able to adjust the angle of the vacuum pole - there’s a button on the back which unlocks it and means you can get under cupboards, couches, chairs, etc so much easier.According to the Shark Cordless Detect Pro’s website, it has “4 ultra-intelligent deep cleaning technologies that detect & react to messes in your home. It automatically boosts power on hidden dirt, increases suction on edges and corners, optimises cleaning based on surface type and illuminates hidden debris”So naturally I put it to the test. We have carpet around 80% of our house, and wooden flooring in the kitchen, and it easily adjusted as I went. I noticed in the kids' bedrooms (especially my daughter’s, who loves having the cats in there) that it boosted the power to suck up more debris. I appreciate this!Watching the vacuum light up as it got into darker spaces was also greatly appreciated. Especially for my aging eyesight (LOL)Because we have the Auto Empty System, once I was finished vacuuming, I simply popped it on charge and it automatically emptied into the dock. It can hold up to 30 days* worth of dust and debris - which means I don’t have to empty it after each use - which ultimately means less dust exposure (vs traditional emptying).Honestly this is one of my favourite features about the Shark Cordless Detect Pro - and the fact that the Auto Empty System has a special odour neutraliser.Overall, I was pleasantly surprised with how well the Shark Cordless Detect Pro did around our house (esp because we have children AND pets), and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to other people.

Terrible battery and broke after 2 weeks
28 October 2023

I really wanted to love this vacuum cleaner - the self emptying function is a really good idea. Alas, that's where the +ve's end.Firstly, the battery life is terrible. 20 mins and you're done, with a 6 hour wait before you can go again with a full charge. For an average household with an upstairs and downstairs that's 12-18 hours for a full clean!Secondly, the wand section feels a little flimsy and bends too easily for my liking. It didn't cause any problems admittedly, but not sure how long it will last.Third is the lack of accessories. It only comes with a crevice tool. This wouldn't be a major issue, but at present there are no other accessories available to purchase additionally either - not even a spare battery (which would have helped get over the ... MoreI really wanted to love this vacuum cleaner - the self emptying function is a really good idea. This wouldn't be a major issue, but at present there are no other accessories available to purchase additionally either - not even a spare battery (which would have helped get over the battery life issue somewhat). I contacted customer service directly a week or so ago about this who advised there were none available at this time - not great at all!Lastly, it's lasted 2 weeks and broken! The problem is with the floor head. The roller has totally seized up. To be fair, after a video call with customer service they did offer a full replacement or a total refund (as we're still within 30 days of purchase). I'm afraid we snapped the refund up without a second thought and will be purchasing another brand. Also, just a small observation that he majority of 5 star reviews appear to have received the product for free...

This vacuum cleaner has its own vacuum cleaner!

OverviewI was sent this new Shark vacuum cleaner to review and these are my thoughts after using it for a couple of weeks in our house in place of a Miele corded and a cheap cordless vacuum. In our house we have me, my wife and two girls all with long hair, plus two cats (short hair).Generally I am very impressed with it, the cleaning performance is very good and it is very handy to pick up and use. It takes a bit of getting used to it changing the speed as you reach edges or it detects a bit more dust coming in, or go onto rugs and carpets, but once you understand what it is doing it is fine, although it can be a little slow to do the detection and by that time you’ve moved on, especially when reaching the edges.SuctionThis is very good on full power and it ... MoreOverviewI was sent this new Shark vacuum cleaner to review and these are my thoughts after using it for a couple of weeks in our house in place of a Miele corded and a cheap cordless vacuum. In our house we have me, my wife and two girls all with long hair, plus two cats (short hair).Generally I am very impressed with it, the cleaning performance is very good and it is very handy to pick up and use. It takes a bit of getting used to it changing the speed as you reach edges or it detects a bit more dust coming in, or go onto rugs and carpets, but once you understand what it is doing it is fine, although it can be a little slow to do the detection and by that time you’ve moved on, especially when reaching the edges.SuctionThis is very good on full power and it adjusts the power for the amount of dirt it is collecting, so on auto mode it varies the power. You can also select eco or boost mode to keep it fixed at a power level.Auto mode seems to do a very good job of extracting hair and dust from all our floors.DesignThis vacuum comes with a stand to rest it on when not in use, which also charges it and when placed on the stand, and it self-empties, yes the vacuum cleaner has its own vacuum cleaner! When placed on the stand it sucks the dirt out into a bigger collection bin which needs emptying a lot less. The power head is nice and compact and not too heavy or bulky with rubber strips and bristle brushes, and a very soft roller. It also has lights which vary according to the amount of light is available where it is cleaning. There are a few things that could be improved with the design, the vacuum doesn’t stand up on its own so you cannot leave it part way through cleaning, the connection from the main vacuum and the long pole to the head has a little play in it and feels at times as though it could break, the power switch would be better as a trigger rather than as a button on the back, and it doesn’t quite go flat enough to go all the way to the back under our sofa because of the battery which sticks out.FeaturesIt has some very innovative features such as anti-hair wrap, self-emptying, dirt detection, edge detection, floor detection and light detection. These make the cleaning efficiency very good.It is also very light and easy to swing back and forwards cleaning.PackagingAll the packaging is recyclable, from the cardboard box, the paper wrapping, to the little tin can containing the air freshener. Our children also used the cardboard boxes to make games with, so we still have them with holes cut into them for eyes, and little dolls houses made of them!CleaningOver the last couple of weeks we have cleaned the whole house a few times and used the vacuum for spot cleaning. We’ve hard floors, carpets and rugs, and this vacuum cleans them all very effectively. The carpet cleaning performance was surprisingly good for a cordless vacuum, it even picked up sock fluff and cotton which our corded vacuum struggles with. It is the first cordless which I think could replace our Miele.GeneralYou do get used to the power going up and down, but it is quite noisy, but that is mainly because of the power-head beating the floor. The battery was just about enough to do the whole house with a quick clean. Battery life is quoted as being up to 60 minutes, but I found it to be about 30 minutes cleaning carpets on auto mode.SummaryOn the whole I am very impressed with this vacuum cleaner, it is light and easy to use, convenient to just pick up and use for spot cleaning, lasts long enough to clean the whole house, does a really good job of cleaning hard floors and carpets, then cleans and charges itself ready for the next use!I would highly recommend this cleaner.
