I cannot emphasize enough just how much I have loved using this cleaner. My house is majority tile with one of the bathrooms being vinyl and cleaning them can be a huge pain. Shark's new hard floor cleaner has absolutely blown me away with how easy it is to use and how efficient the cleaning is. Straight out of the box, I was pleasantly surprised by the quick set up guide, which appeals to the "I have to use this now, instructions can wait later' mentality, which is a welcome feature. The cleaner itself is incredibly lightweight and comes in two parts which easily and intuitively fit together. The little storage dock is a nice feature as well. With a little water in the tank, I was able to use it immediately and went to work on the Sisyphean task that is the kitchen floor. Normally, I would sweep my kitchen before a mop but now I don't have to! Setting the steam level is a breeze with the button and I set to work. I was incredibly excited to see a light at the end as well, which made me reach for my phone to take a picture in my excitement. I really appreciated the pivoting head which helped me get into nooks and crannies with complete ease and the roller was smooth over any bumpy patches. One big plus over a standard mop is that the floors dried much quicker as well. The compartment at the bottom, which house the roller, is also where you will find the waste which, as promised, does separate the wet and the dry dirt! This makes it incredibly easy to clean. I love the fact I don't have any dirty mop water being recycled during any cleaning session too. Honestly, I had a moment where I got weirdly emotional whilst using this. It felt like a daily chore became so much easier and it's such a relief. I really recommend this to any household who has hard floors. It's such a game changer and is so worth the money.

My wife says this is a great mop since she didn’t have to use it! But since i did, my review might be more credible. I felt like this was a great purchase and here’s why: I’ve owned another shark mop steamer before in although it was great you had to put a lot of effort into it. This model is low effort since it propels itself. I could see this being a great benefit to somebody who can’t exert a lot of effort when cleaning their floors . It comes with three different levels of steam, comes with a very long cord, has a pretty good sizable reservoir and is easy to assemble since all you have to do out of the box is insert the handle. I used water and about 10 to 20% distilled vinegar mixed in. Although shark says you can use just water. I cleaned a 2600 square-foot home today and had to refill the reservoir three times on the low steam setting. When I was finished, the roller head was easily removable in order to rinse with dawn soap. I could also remove all compartments and the tray underneath where the roller sits in order to wash them since I just moved into a new home and it had a little bit of extra dirt and dust. The unit is considerably very quiet since it does vacuum you can’t really tell. Even then the low setting it removed some light dried paint drippings which I was impressed with. All in all a very good machine I guess if I had to complain about one thing, I would choose that the roller had could be wider .

Living in a home with mostly hard floors (tile, vinyl, some hardwood) has made me realize that the days of using a mop with a bucket is not the most efficient, or clean, solution for floor care. I have considered a steam mop before, but never considered how crucial one could be in a mostly hard floor home! The Shark SteamPickup mop is a cool tool. It’s efficient in that it picks up debris as it deploys steam, which saves time when you want to really “deep” clean a hard floor. The suction is pretty good considering it’s not really the primary function, but it won’t hold too much, so for more debris I would recommend a vacuum first. But for light debris this is great. The steam function is pretty straightforward. You fill the clean water tank and turn it on. It has levels of intensity (more steam) and as the roller carries you across the floor, you begin to see the steam come out. It leaves a damp, but not soaked floor, and in my environment (arid climate) it dries in an about 30 seconds or less. The mop doesn’t really integrate a cleaning fluid, so I used a mild solution of floor soap in a spray bottle and spray lightly in front of the mop, and it steams and makes the room smell fresh. This doesn’t really leave behind a sticky feel either from the soap. Tile looks bright, hardwood looks clean, but I decided to follow up with a mop of oil soap to condition the wood, and it looks fantastic. I would prefer a slightly wider head on the mop, but this size just requires me to add a pass or two maybe. Not a big deal. I would recommend this mop highly for homes with hard floors!

Shark SteamPickup 3-in-1 Steam, Pick-Up & Sanitize Mop - Black/Stone Metallic is pretty neat. The steam output it puts out is amazing! It does a really good job of mopping floors especially since it isn't using anything besides water. Inside the box the steamer comes in a couple of pieces that easily snap together, and there is also a plastic base station to park the mop and roller when not in use. Let me first start out by saying there is no vacuum feature on this mop, it just has a roller that is made out of lots of various small bristles. Some of which are soft, and others are very stiff and plastic feeling. There is a metal scraper bar that the roller spins against that wipes the debris off the roller. Some of which are soft, and others are very stiff and plastic feeling. There is a metal scraper bar that the roller spins against that wipes the debris off the roller. The instructions say that there is no need to vacuum or sweep before using this mop, but I found that not to be 100% true, it depends on what you're trying to pick up as this mop struggled to pick up fuzzy/dust bunnies/drier lint/pet hair etc... instead it just rolled that stuff into wet strings and left them behind. I used the mop to clean 4 rooms in my house plus a hallway, and it does really good for the most part, but it struggled to get close to the walls, or into the corners. Cleaning 4 rooms on high steam took 2.5 tanks worth of water, and the mop had to be emptied and cleaned 4 times total including the final clean to store it on its base. I really like it and it did a great job where it could reach, except for a few quirks here and there. If it could get flush with the corners and the walls, and it actually picked up dustbunny/drier lint/pet hair instead of balling those up it would be perfect, but there's still a little room for improvement.
Shark did a lot of thing right and a few things wrong in its design of the Shark SteamPickup 3 in 1.The best thing about this steam mop is it takes what used to be a two-step process -- vac and then mop -- and turns it into one. And does them both jobs pretty well. That saves time and energy, something always in short supply in many households.Even better, the SteamPickup adds another bonus. It not only steam cleans your floors but now has a rotating brush to scrub them even cleaner than before, as well as and pick up big messes. It provides the elbow grease, not you. Also, it is surprisingly quiet, light and easy to manuever and has a pair of small headlights to help you see better. And the controls are pretty simple and straightforward, with three steam settings.I found it cleaned quite well, using plain old water, although the vac is not super powerful and therefore is somewhat limited in what it can pick up. Be aware the SteamPickup also leave s a little streakiness behind over when you are done, which is pretty typical of all steam mops.Still, I would count this as a pretty big win for Shark. This is a well-designed device that does exactly what it promises, which is always a good deal for the consumer. That does not mean it is perfect. The downside is what happens after you have finished mopping. There is a rather unpleasant cleaning job that must be done: Pulling apart the power head and getting rid of all that dirty water and waterlogged goopy debris you just removed from your floor.,The power head comes apart easily, at least but I am not sure I agree with Shark about how to best handle the cleanup They suggest you dump the wet soggy debris from the vac into the trash and then just rinse parts in the sink. I am not sure any sink is a good place to dump nasty stuff that used to be on the floor, even it it was allegedly sanitized by steam. And then there is the cleaning brush, which also must be removed and cleaned, which involves your hands getting up close and personal with all that floor gunk. Shark again recommends doing it in the sink. Eh, I dont think so.I took the entire mess outside and cleaned it all with a hose, which seems more appropriate. It's a bit ironic that one of Shark's selling points with the SteamPickup 3 in 1 is you "never have to wash a dirty pad again" -- standard procedure with earlier generation steam mops. That's true. But this job is worse, in my view, since there are more parts that must be cleaned and that process is much more hands on.Fortunately, the SteamPickup comes with water tight stand, that keeps all those parts you just cleaned from dripping all over the floor. And it has a special drying stand for the cleaning brush.Speaking of the brush, (which is self cleaning during steam mopping) Shark recommends you replace it every six months. The cost is unclear since this is a new product. So there is a tradeoff here: A much more capable steam mop that scrubs and vacs in exchange for a more involved cleanup process when you are done. Each consumer must decide if that is worth it given their particular situation.
This is a fantastic replacement for mopping providing deep cleaning of hard floors in a compact and lightweight package with no chemicals needed.I tend to put off mopping until I absolutely have to do it with all the hassles involved...it’s up there with collecting fall leaves in my list of things I do not enjoy doing. That’s it. No chemicals needed since it uses steam. The operation is surprisingly quiet as well where you can hear it steaming the water and a little noise coming from the rotating scrubber but it doesn’t make much sound at all. Most importantly, it cleans very well where it removes sticky spots and stains with just a few passes and doesn’t require the manual scrubbing that you would have to do with a traditional mop. It also picks up debris as well so it’s not like you have to vacuum the floor first before starting the steam clean. It’s all built into one.I was concerned that it may leave excess moisture on my laminate wood floor but it’s not much at all and dries within a few minutes. It also comes with a very long cord (25 feet) so it’s easily able to clean my entire kitchen without the need to change outlets.I found that the canister was enough to clean about 50 square feet before needing to refill it.This is a great little, deep cleaning machine!
This steam mop is super lightweight and easy to use. It produces a nice amount of steam after only about 10 seconds of activating the brush roll. I like the simplicity of use and that you don’t need any cleaning products, just water. I also think it’s genius to be able to skip sweeping the floor and go straight to mopping. We have wood-look tile flooring with grout that’s about 1/4” wide. I found that going first against and then with the direction of the grout produced good results without missing the recessed area. The floors were wet after, but it wasn’t nearly as much as using a traditional mop and because the water was hot, it evaporated very quickly.Cleaning the device after use could be an area where those with tactile aversion could have an issue. I personally get the ick from touching food on dishes in the sink, and it would be similar if you used this steam mop to clean up food spills. My solution to that would be to only use the steam mop once most of the mess has already been cleaned up with paper towels. I realize that this mop was built to handle that, but I feel like it’s just as much work and maybe even messier to clean the brush roll and debris tank. I feel like a self-clean cycle could help with this issue, but it’s mostly a personal preference, so I wouldn’t deduct any points there.I feel like this would be a great alternative to a traditional mop for folks with back pain, because it eliminates the need to haul a bucket of water around and the brush roll does the scrubbing for you. The storage tray is very handy and keeps the footprint small, so this mop takes up very little room.Overall, I think this is an excellent product especially if you have tile floors. The photos in this review are after cleaning a very small area that was just mopped with a traditional yarn mop and bucket only 3 days prior. I was impressed with how it still picked up quite a bit of dirt and debris and left our floor spotless.
The Shark Steam Pickup 3-n-1 is marketed as a Vacuum, Steamer and Scrubbing Mop for hard floors only. And for the most part, it does all three pretty well! Although the vacuuming is not so much of a suction, but a rotating brush that “picks up” debris and catches it into a bin. A very generous amount of steam is created, even at the lower settings, and in combination with the rotating brush, there is nothing this floor cleaner can’t remove. And with ample cord length, you’ll be able to tackle large sections of your home without having to unplug. The Steam PIckup can be easily disassembled for a thorough cleaning. After a session, the unit stores solids and liquids into the waste tray in two different chambers. It’s actually interesting to me and I still can’t figure out how it works, but that’s what it does. The waste tray can be completely removed and rinsed clean. Similarly, the scrub brush can be easily removed and rinsed as well. Shark claims that it is self cleaning, but a simple rinse now and then wouldn’t hurt.Performance-wise, the Steam Pickup will not disappoint in removing visible dirt off the floor. I’m talking about food remnants (or any for that matter) that is caked onto the floor. The combo scrub brush and steam power through them with ease and completely remove any trace. I’ve cleaned my entire house and even my garage (nitro tiles) with no issues using the device. It’s just super easy to use and way more convenient than bringing out the mop and bucket. It does leave a tad bit of water on the floor, but nothing crazy; it dries in minutes. But that’s where I do question its cleaning overall. Yes, it picks up dirt and debris and it does remove caked on dirt with the power of steam, but it’s the things you can’t really see. Right after I clean an area, I can take a white paper towel and wipe an area only to see that there is some level of dirty water that still remains on the floor. That being said, there is an undeniable clean feeling after walking on the completely dried floor, but it’s worth mentioning that the floor may not be completely clean as one might expect.I’m still pretty stoked about this product overall. It saves a lot of time being a 3-in-1 product, and with regular use, can keep your floor relatively clean and especially sanitized.
I was pleasantly surprised by the performance of this Shark combination steam mop and vacuum. As the saying goes, a jack of all trades is usually a master of none. However that is most definitely not the case with this model. It does what it claims to do, and does it extremely well. I normally have to vacuum before I mop, but this innovative model has eliminated the first vacuuming step. I used it the first time to fully vacuum and steam clean approximately 2000 square feet of engineered hardwood and ceramic tile. After I was done, I was very pleased with how clean and fresh my floors turned out.Shark has always designed innovative and intuitive products and this model is no different. Instructions for its use are attached to each relevant section, so how to use and clean it is never in doubt. The water reservoir is compact, but goes a long way because the steam function is so efficient. How long the water will last before needing to be refilled will depend on the steam level selected. The steam selections are low, medium, and high. I use low on my hardwood and medium or high on the tile. There are a few other features that really make me like this product. First is the 25 foot power cord. This extra-long cord really helps with maneuvering it around with fewer stops to change outlets necessary. Another thing that I like is the compact size which helps me get in and around floor objects without having to stop and move as many thighs. The LED headlight also helps illuminate dark sections of the floor to insure little things are not missed. This product is designed as a combination vacuum and steam cleaner and it superbly fulfills that function, but I would clarify that I consider it more of a light vacuum. This is due to the light suction power and the small debris compartment. If there is a lot of debris to be picked up, I would likely use a traditional vacuum or broom to clean up first because the debris compartment will fill up quickly if there is alot to vacuum up. But I consider this a positive trade off because it is relatively quiet and lightweight compared to a larger and more powerful full size vacuum.Product maintenance is very intuitive and consists of opening the debris compartment, removing and emptying the compartment, and then removing the washable brush roll. I then rinsed out the brush roll, lid, and compartment and left them to dry. It is that easy.I strongly recommend this Shark product. I am very glad that I got it, and am looking forward to using it in the future. It is easy to use and maintain. This product is a keeper that I plan to make a regular part of my cleaning rotation. Shark has once again surprised me with an innovative product that I did not know I needed until I got it.
Living with 2 children and 3 dogs in a house with wood floors and tile everywhere can build up quite a bit of dirt and grime over time. Traditional mopping is tedious and at times to me seems like I’m just pushing dirty water around. I’ve tried steam mops before but the pads after a few uses get grimy and dirty and are impossible to really get clean afterwards. So, when I saw the Shark SteamPickup 3-1 Steam, Pick Up, and Sanitize mop with a roller that cleans itself AND picks up debris, I knew I had to have it! Goodbye days of grimy steam pads that need constant replacing! Can the roller really clean itself during use and still clean your floors well, let’s find out!Initial setup was seamless and easy and took less than a few minutes. Traditional mopping is tedious and at times to me seems like I’m just pushing dirty water around. Goodbye days of grimy steam pads that need constant replacing! Can the roller really clean itself during use and still clean your floors well, let’s find out!Initial setup was seamless and easy and took less than a few minutes. The Steam mop doesn’t use any type of cleaner, so you just fill the jug up with water and off you go! There are 2 different modes depending on how deep of a clean you want. The steam starts to appear after about 15-20 seconds of being turned on. The nice thing about this steam mop is that it separates wet and dry into two different compartments, so you don’t necessarily have to vacuum before you use it. I was pleasantly surprised by how effective this was because with other steam mops in the past I’ve always had to do a pre vacuum to make sure the mop isn’t pushing around a bunch of dog hair and debris! The mop itself is lightweight and rolls well and the steam is produced at a steady rate to do larger areas rather quickly. It’s worth mentioning you can use this steam mop on any type of sealed floor. We have hardwood in the main living areas and tile in the bathrooms and it cleans both seamlessly! Once you’re done with the mop you lift the tray up and there’s the wet and dry compartments that you can empty separately. The roller itself can be removed and rinsed out after use and I was again very surprised to see that after a lot of heavy cleaning it didn’t appear to be dirty or grimy. The one gripe I do have is with the size of the water compartment that the mop picks up while mopping. It fills up fairly quickly with dirty water and if you have a large area you’re cleaning you have to empty it before you’re completely done cleaning to finish the job. But it’s a small price to pay for not having to buy multiple steam pads to clean with!Overall, I am very happy with the job the Shark SteamPickup 3-1 steam mop does! With the self-cleaning roller you don’t have to worry about multiple steam pads and the ability to pick up debris while mopping makes this a versatile and very useful mop vacuum combo. If you’re looking for a steam mop, I highly recommend you check this one out, you won’t be disappointed.
