Bought this for my elderly parents after their vintage 1980s model decided to head to retirement. Probably not the Best Buy, mainly due to the annoying feature of the fan staying on after the microwave cycle has finished. Little frustrating trying to convince my parents that it has actually finished..Seems to make odd alarms sounds for no reason... we thought it was the door being left open.. have gone through the manual, no luck yet..

Love this microwave. It's fast and powerful and the settings are easy to follow. No guesswork when cooking veges. Love the fact that it doesn't beep repeatedly when it finishes, just one short steady beep, unless you forget to take something out and then only 3 beeps. If you forget again, it flashes a warning.

Had microwave about a month. Very happy with it. Love the white as it doesnt show up finger marks like on the stainless steel one. This is the same same as my last one but i didn't check the actual dimensions. Our plates are square and they don't spin around on the plate Like the old one. Next time ill check the measurements. Very happy with it other than that.
Pros: Sensor reheat works really well for a variety of dishes - we use it often. Can still easily access basic function of time power. Large capacityCons: Lots of cooking options will take a while to learn when to use what but can always fall back yo basics if needed
Pros: 90% of the microwave are dark grey inside. I chose this model in particular because it was white inside. The dark grey makes it very difficult to see how dirty the inside is. The size and capacity is excellent. Quite powerful also 1200 watts.
Pros: I haven't cooked any large meals as yet but it certainly has the capacity to do that easily and efficiently. I love the inverter it heats my meal or meat evenly so no dry or tough bits. Small meals ie" Italian chicken drumsticks" moist tender ,a good result..I'm not an Electronic wiz but with the aid of the booklet and viewing my choices on the Microwave it makes it easy to use. I'm glad I did my homework and chose the Sharp 1200w Inverter Microwave :)Cons: Honestly Nothing that I've noticed as yet. The opening clip which some had an issue with is firm working fine . I can see my meal cooking even though the glass is dark.This was an issue with some too.
We are relying on our Sharp microwave now even though we have a built-in Miele microwave (which we detest - it's now a cupboard for excess plastic containers). The Sharp (unlike the Miele) has inverter technology (so reducing power really reduces power), a carousel (so everything is evenly heated/cooked), lots of built-in programmes (we use the frozen vegetable option daily) and great versatility (a number pad, so you can select exactly how many seconds, and at what power, you want - again, not offered in the Miele). Melting butter or chocolate is a breeze. Very powerful - now 1200 watts max. Love it!
Pros: No problems so far, it works as it should. Fits our microwave alcove above the kitchen bench.Cons: The inverter motor needs to cool down after every use. So the microwave sounds like its still operating up to 40 seconds after you have finished and removed your food.
I bought this microwave around 18 months ago. It is the worst microwave I have ever used. It is virtually not useable because it overheats or unevenly heats food and containers. Issues we have include:- excessive heating of food resulting in burnt/inedible food- excessive heating leading to boiling over and spillage- uneven heating leading to boiling of periphery of food, while central portion remains cold/warm- uneven heating such that the container is extremely hot but the food remains cold/warm- these all occur with minimal cooking times (10-60sec).I am so fed up with using this microwave, I have asked for a refund/credit note.
