I wish there were better alternatives to the Sharpie because the smell bothers me. However, the Sharpie was invented in 1964, and nothing better has been made. It's a permanent marker. It bleeds through paper like nothing else. The ink smells bad (to some people). It writes on almost anything. It comes in every color. It comes in every size. It's the best laboratory marker because nothing smudges the ink. You've used it. I've used it. Astronauts use it; not even they can think of a better marker. Everyone has used it. It's a Sharpie.

I love Sharpie markers. They work so well and last so much longer than the less expensive brands. They also are a nice rich black instead of the washed black you find on cheaper permanent markers. They dry quickly so you rarely get any smudging and they stay put for a long time. We use them to make signs and have found that they end up being less expensive in the long term than the cheaper versions. If you need a permanent marker spend the extra money up front. You will end up spending less in the long term. I highly recommend this product.

These markers are brilliant in design. The thickness is of perfect precision for any writing hand, be it the left or right hand. Even comfortable for those who use their feet. The cap is ahead of its time, the quick snap-on snap-off mechanism is beyond this world. Finally, the black ink is of pure bliss. One will surely feel like Shakespeare inking a captivating play while they write on a cardboard box. Some have suggested these markers to be of alien technology. You be the judge.

I only use this brand when using permanent pens, they are durable and keep for a LONG time if care is taken. The ink, an inky black, will remain for months as long as the cap is on tight. The permanent pen in fine black writes for a long time without losing color (several hours at least!). The slim shape of the writing instrument is comfortable to write with and the slim tip allows for a finer handwriting. The scent is not to noticeable, and when used as directed, hardly any ink scent is detected. My favorite permanent pen will easily win you over once you try it!
I recently started buying these ultra fine point markers as I needed a more affordable set for traditional inking of my artwork. After using them for about for months, I'm very happy with the results I've received. The ink is truly black and the marker flows smooth on my sketchbook paper. The only downsides are msinly that there is no description on the point size of the marker compared to the competitors. And that the ink sort of flows it a bit too quick, leading to a few uneven lines. Not a deal-breaker, but worth noting in my usage.Other than that, this is a great product for illustrators & traditional artists who want high quality while in a budget
During COVID when my 89 year old Mom was in isolation, she discovered adult coloring. She soon realized that the only markers that were perfect were Sharpie ultra fine. She not only colors to decorate her room but she also distributes her masterpieces to her friends in her assisted living center to cheer them up. She has so many Sharpies on her kitchen table that there is little room to eat! We would love to share a video that she recently recorded. Please consider her for the gift certificate award as she certainly puts your markers to great use. She is one of Sharpie markers biggest fans!
Great product, however, you really need to check your math on the price. It's advertised as a 4 pk. for $4.44, which is $1.11 each. You are showing this as being 53.3¢ each, which SHOULD make this 4 pk. cost $2.13....well less than 1/2 the price you actually have to pay! That being said, this one was very easy to figure out that a mistake has been made because of the small quantity of items per pack. However, I rely heavily on the price per ounce, or price per pound, price per unit, etc. Seeing this as a SIGNIFICANT mistake makes me now seriously question your shelf pricing as being unreliable. I suppose I'm now going to have to start using my calculator to see if what you claim on your shelf pricing is correct.
Economically, it was more beneficial to buy these sharpies in bulk. I used them to mark through any personal information as far as mail, receipts and other important paperwork. Because I receive so much junk mail, it was exhausing cutting out my personal information, so I decided to try the roller stamp as advertised on TV. I soon gave up using it becasue the ink doesn't last long, it do not work on glossy paper, and the ink is water based. It can be wiped off glossy paper, therefore revealing personal information. I finally decided to try the Sharpie and Bingo, they are the best for concealing your personal information on any type of paper, especially glossy paper! The Sharpie ink is permanent and last a long time. The ink adheres to glossy paper and cannot be wiped off. Since most front and back of catalogs are glossy paper, it was important for me to be able to find a type of ink that would stick so that I would not have to continue to cut and tear my personal information. The Sharpie does the trick! I highly recommend the Black Sharpie, not only for paperwork, but for marking boxes, posters, fabrics, etc. It works!
I was so happy to find this Sharpie Retractable Permanent Marker, Ultra Fine Tip, Assorted Colors, 8/Set. I have been using the Black Retractable Marker to label my plastic bags that I use for freezing items, i.e., ground beef for one. I label the name-ground sirloin, weight and date it was packaged. I have found these markers do not wear off in the freezer and my life is easier because of Sharpie's retractable markers. I also like the different colours as I use them to identify different items, i.e., green for veggies.
I love my sharpie, I got a different one last Month at your store and needed a deeper red and I found it. I use it especially on my Calendar to write down all of my appointments. and It doesn't go threw the paper like other ones do. There was a scratch pad near the pens so I could try it out first, before buying, I love this feature! And you have so many different brands and a slew of colors all at different prices, so I could choose my price range then the color and fineness of the point. Thanks for being there for us crafters.Sincerely, Bette Sokoloski
