I wish there were better alternatives to the Sharpie because the smell bothers me. However, the Sharpie was invented in 1964, and nothing better has been made. It's a permanent marker. It bleeds through paper like nothing else. The ink smells bad (to some people). It writes on almost anything. It comes in every color. It comes in every size. It's the best laboratory marker because nothing smudges the ink. You've used it. I've used it. Astronauts use it; not even they can think of a better marker. Everyone has used it. It's a Sharpie.

Michael's is the only place that I go to for any type of framing or getting a frame..So far I have had two pictures done by Michael s , the first one was a an antique picture from early 1900s and I could not leave it in the store. They helped me pick the frame, advised on how to preserve the pastel print due to its age. They worked with me 100% and at the last day, I brought the picture, they helped me take it out of the 1900 old frame and we carefully put it into the new frame. OMG what a awesome job. This was done in 2019. Now today, 2021 I have another picture that my Grandson had painted, his Mom so loved this that I knew what to do. Again, this time I worked with Megan and again, I was not disappointed. She helped me, we discussed how to show the picture with ... MoreMichael's is the only place that I go to for any type of framing or getting a frame..So far I have had two pictures done by Michael s , the first one was a an antique picture from early 1900s and I could not leave it in the store. Well, as of today Dec 10,2021, this is wrapped and will be a Christmas gift for our daughter. I almost had tears when I saw the finished worked. The thing about Michael's is that your not rushed, many suggestions are giving to you and cost for doing a keep sake picture, is by far the best. After all, this picture will be around for a long time due to the care of framing it. I cant say anymore except , its the only place I will get any frame or frame work done. Em-Powell

Sharpie used to have a [extra] fine tip that was nylon. These lasted a lot longer. These pens come with a felt tip which I knew when I order. I'll have some in the garage for marking lines when cutting wood, but I know the felt tip will get smooshed out and wear down drawing lines on wood. Like Sharpies for drawing lines on wood because of the high contrast of the dark black ink. That use consumes a lot of ink (long drawing lines, soaks into wood), so I don't expect them to last long, but they were a good price (97 cents apiece). Still, I really would like Sharpie to return to having nylon tips except for the larger nib sizes.

Sharpie Twin Tip Permanent Markers are great in classrooms! I'm a middle school teacher of 29 years and Sharpie brand products have always been used in my classroom for all types of daily tasks to special projects. This week the Twin Tip markers were used not only for our daily work needs, but also to complete several special art projects provided by our PTA. The twin-tip markers were perfect for broader lines for outlining and fine lines for small areas of shading. And lastly, we used various colors to design our themed classroom t-shirts "Leedy's Lava". Sharpie permanent markers are the best to use when designing t-shirts because the colors work great, the twin-tip size is perfect for broad/fine lines with our volcano and lettering designs, and best of all is that ... MoreSharpie Twin Tip Permanent Markers are great in classrooms! I recently started buying these ultra fine point markers as I needed a more affordable set for traditional inking of my artwork. After using them for about for months, I'm very happy with the results I've received. The ink is truly black and the marker flows smooth on my sketchbook paper. The only downsides are msinly that there is no description on the point size of the marker compared to the competitors. And that the ink sort of flows it a bit too quick, leading to a few uneven lines. Not a deal-breaker, but worth noting in my usage.Other than that, this is a great product for illustrators & traditional artists who want high quality while in a budget
I am a substitute teacher currently working in an elementary school where I need to have a variety of markers for the projects I like to do to help keep kiddos busy and entertained. I like the Sharpie brand black permanent markers and it makes sense for me to continue to use the same brand in other colors. For me, Sharpie markers last longer than other brands. I recently used these to make memory books for third graders on thicker than usual heavyweight paper and the colors look rich and festive! They never lost their brilliance. I will keep using this brand.
During COVID when my 89 year old Mom was in isolation, she discovered adult coloring. She soon realized that the only markers that were perfect were Sharpie ultra fine. She not only colors to decorate her room but she also distributes her masterpieces to her friends in her assisted living center to cheer them up. She has so many Sharpies on her kitchen table that there is little room to eat! We would love to share a video that she recently recorded. Please consider her for the gift certificate award as she certainly puts your markers to great use. She is one of Sharpie markers biggest fans!
Economically, it was more beneficial to buy these sharpies in bulk. I used them to mark through any personal information as far as mail, receipts and other important paperwork. Because I receive so much junk mail, it was exhausing cutting out my personal information, so I decided to try the roller stamp as advertised on TV. I soon gave up using it becasue the ink doesn't last long, it do not work on glossy paper, and the ink is water based. It can be wiped off glossy paper, therefore revealing personal information. I finally decided to try the Sharpie and Bingo, they are the best for concealing your personal information on any type of paper, especially glossy paper! The Sharpie ink is permanent and last a long time. The ink adheres to glossy paper and cannot be wiped off. Since most front and back of catalogs are glossy paper, it was important for me to be able to find a type of ink that would stick so that I would not have to continue to cut and tear my personal information. The Sharpie does the trick! I highly recommend the Black Sharpie, not only for paperwork, but for marking boxes, posters, fabrics, etc. It works!
I had to prepare for a trunk or treat at church and wanted a whole new look this year. I bought a great Halloween cotton fabric, children's foam "foamies" or Pop and I had a large set of Sharpie Permanent Markers. They work wonderfully with foam. I drew a pattern on tracing paper of the characters on the fabric, cut out the foamies pieces and glued them together and then went wild with my markers bringing them to life. the mystic markers were used for shadowing and blending so I had to replace them when the project was done. I would definite recommend Sharpies for most craft projects. I live in Columbus OHio and am a retiree who loves to create. I am intermediate in my level of creating. Not only is the tip fine, the product is too. Pure midnight flows from the tip of this pen. Great value as it seems to last and last. I can write whatever i want on just about any solid surface. What a great find! Wish these were available everywhere. A product that just about anyone could find a use for & at a reasonable price. The integrated pocket clip, is very handy so that you can attach your Sharpie marker to a shirt pocket! Innovation at it's finest! I should have bought 2 more, one as a backup and one as fantastic gift for a friend. I get a lot of compliments from strangers on this tremendous tool!
