Great marker but not for constant use

This is a good marker for the environment I work in , which is a refrigerated food packaging plant. The marker made it through two ten hour shifts before it started to dry out. I’m not sure if it dried out because of constant use or because of the cold. I use the marker the whole shift to write labels that go on mixed product before being packaged. It is a fact that you can write on wet surfaces and the marker will remain intact. Overall I like it but would have to buy several which will be very expensive , I actually caught the two pack on sale. I would recommend to someone who is sporadically going to use it versus everyday consistent use.

One pen fell apart right out of the package.

3 out of 5 stars because only 3 of the 4 pens worked. One pen did not work right out of the package. I put the cap back on and shuck the pen, thinking maybe. When I pull the cap off, the pen literally came apart. So faulty gluing at the factory or cracked in shipping. The 4 pack was cheaper then buying 3 individual pens..but still how hard is it to manufacture a pen correctly or design packaging that protects the product.

Substandard Permanent Marker

Sharpie Pro XL Chisel Tip Permanent Marker has a couple of big issues. First, the cap is so difficult to remove; I'm a fairly strong man and I had a hard time with it. Second issue is that the ink acts like a dark varnish; when I black out an old shipping label, the print is still readable. I'm returning this to the store and will buy the Sharpie MAGNUM instead.

A little transfer was observed where I started a line. I put the pen on the paper, pause and strike a line, that pause allowed the mark but the moving pen did not transfer between sheets.Crispness: The ink on paper stayed true to its placement it did not spread.Other materials: I tried this product on plastics and it does require drying time before handling. It took about a half minute before it wouldn’t smear. Obviously drying times vary based on environmental conditions.

Works but at a price

I got this for marking moving boxes but only marked 2 before I had to stop using it - it smells absolutely disgusting and WAY stronger than normal sharpie. Normal Sharpie smell doesn’t bother me at all, but this is noxious and really lingers in a room. Maybe use for something you’ll have outside, like garage sale signs or in construction work I guess? But this will stink up your place fast indoors. I wouldn’t recommend this for use on moving boxes. I wish I hadn’t thrown away the packaging so I could return it.

my top pick for permanent markers

these're, like, my favorite markers. that last quite a while and write consistently solid. they do still falter a bit on oily and wet surfaces even though they're advertised to write in such conditions. (havent found a marker that wouldnt falter, myself)might recoil a bit if you try to scratch your nose while using 'em!whoof-!
