Sharpie makes a delightfully inky pen. If you love to write, get multiplie sets of these pens. I initially bought a pack of the .7 width multi-colored pens and fell in love, followed by the .7 black pens and I used them so frequently that I’ve gone through most of them. This time, I bought the .5 in blue. Truth be told: the finer line is not my favorite but it’s still better than most ink pens I’ve used. This pen doesn’t bleed through paper, it’s smooth, and doesn’t catch on the paper fibers, as some other ink pens seem to do.Can’t go wrong with Sharpie.

Ive purchased over 6 packs of these in both black and blue ink from various stores. Only 2 or 3 pens out of 12 actually worked! I kept buying more from different stores hoping it was just a bad batch or something. NOPE!CONS from my experience:-quit writing almost immediately-won't write AT ALL (right out of the package)-when they do work you have to keep going over your writing or it looks like a secret message to decipher-INK SKIPS are SO BAD that you can't even write ONE letter without having to go back over it multiple times!!!!!-doesn't completely bleed through to the next page, but they DO soak through enough to make writing on the back of your paper basically IMPOSSIBLE unless you don't mind seeing the other side's writing VERY clearly. Hard to read ... MoreIve purchased over 6 packs of these in both black and blue ink from various stores. Only 2 or 3 pens out of 12 actually worked! Hard to read anything at all witten on the back of a fully written page because it looks like a jumbled mess ALMOST as if you were writing with a sharpie fine point permanent marker (YES, I tried various brands of paper and it did it with all of them.)PROS:-on the RARE occasions that they would actually work correctly, I loved the way that they wrote. It was super smooth, highly pigmented writing.Sharpie needs to fix these because they would be perfect if they worked correctly!

Personally, I do not like gel pens and have avoided them all my life since they became a thing. However, considering the issues that are ballooning concerning mail theft and washing checks, advice says that using a gel pen makes washing checks almost impossible, so I bought one. I do like how nice the pen itself is; it is well made. While I do not like the gel, it is doing what I need it to do. So, I only rate this at a "4 Star" because I do not like gel pens.

I have a couple of favorite brands of pens - Tul, Pilot and Sharpie. I prefer heavier pens that are a little larger around for easy and comfortable grip. These Sharpies are perfect. They're retractable with lids to lose. I like the rubber grip. It cleans easily if need be and has yet to crack or breakdown. The pens write smoothly and come in one of three vivid colors - black, red or blue. Ink dries quick and doesn't smear. Sharp, thin lines. Highly recommend them.
We like these gel pens and recommend them--with caveats. Unfortunately, the Sharpie S Gel Pens are not 100% smear-proof, but they are much, much better than rival G-2 pens. We have a couple of "lefties" in the office, and smearing is often a problem. Our left-handers note that the experience is greatly improved with this product vs. others we've tried so far. They still have to watch out for the rare "ink blob", but they are happy, overall.Bottom line: the Sharpie S Gel Pens write smoothly, and they are mostly smear-free. We will almost certainly purchase them again.
I write a lot, and I mean A LOT every day. I work as a behavioral therapist for adults with developmental disabilities and the charting on one client alone takes an hour easily EVERY DAY. Since my company has yet to fully embrace the 21st century, all of our files are paper forms that we fill out by hand. I prefer the 0.5 over the traditional 0.7 because of the finer tip. This pen is capable of writing very small in the margins and tight little lines on the forms. The ink is smooth, dries very quickly, and doesn't bleed, even on the cheap copy paper that we use every day. Its bright, vibrant, and easy to read even under lower light conditions. Overall, I like it even more than the gel pens that I was using before! If you're looking for a great pen that writes ... MoreI write a lot, and I mean A LOT every day. I write in numerous colors, but primarily black and blue. Was looking for a gel pen that did not smear immediately after writing. Was tired of getting pens that smeared on my hand. Wrote a line and swiped my finger across the page and it was clean when I looked at it. I use the pen to sign professional documents, keep it in a day-timer for travel, writing letters, and writing in a journal. The ink does not bleed through the paper. Will definitely recommend and purchase again.
I can't stress enough how much I love these pens! The first time I wrapped my fingers around a Sharpie S-Gel for the first time, I knew writing would never be the same. I've always been funny about touching communal pens in public, then Covid-19 came around. I never leave my house without a Sharpie S-Gel in my pocket, whether I'm going to work or anywhere else. I can't recommend the Sharpie S-Gel enough! Regardless of how seldom or frequent you write, I'd go with the Sharpie S-Gel to take care of all your writing needs!
These pens work well enough. The grips are comfortable making the writing experience nice, and the ink is complementarily smooth as is standard with gel ink pens. The colors are also some of the boldest and most vivid I’ve seen in gel ink pens. However, despite having technology to prevent bleed-through, these pens bleed through paper quite heavily. They actually bleed through paper more than some of my other gel ink pens that lack technology to prevent bleed-through. They bleed through standard white paper less than lined paper, but the bleed through on white paper is still rather significant. If you’re wanting some gel ink pens that write smoothly and have great, bold colors, then I recommend these. In my review images I have included images that show off the colors of the pens themselves on both lined paper and regular white paper. I then flip over the papers to show how the pens bleed through them. I was writing at my standard writing speed and was not writing slowly or quickly - just normally.
As I sat in accounting minding my business my friend Marcus Goldsack offered me to to try his beautiful long black 0.7mm Gel Pen Black. This was the greatest decision of my life. The first letters that my hands spelled out sealed the deal that I would be making love to it. It makes me feel safe and cared for when its around. I will forever love this pen deeply as time condemns. Everyone needs a 0.7mm Gel Pen Black in their life.Thank you,Pen lover
