ZERO STARS! All I read are good results from this line and never read about anyone having an issue so I decided to give it a try. Big mistake! The consistency is like a goopy pudding, very greasy, and took me awhile to wash it off of my hands. That was the first red flag! 🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩 Then about 10 minutes later, the conditioner caused my scalp to itch like crazy and began to burn so badly, it felt like the process of perming my hair, which is ironically why I purchased it in the first place. Once I rinsed the conditioner out, I still experienced non-stop scalp itching, scabbing,rash, and flaking along my edges for HOURS. I woke up next morning in horror to find that my edges had completely scabbed and flaked over. Large flaking scabs all over my head. Then I started digging a bit on tik tok google and found many reviews that echoed the same exact experience :( I will NEVER ever use these crappy and very misleading Sheamoisture products let alone the leave in conditioner, EVER again! I hate to be wasteful and would normally give away products or perfume that don’t suit me to my friends or relatives but I would not even risk the same experience I went through happening to them so I chucked this straight into the trash. I am most of all disappointed that I wasted $14 before doing more research and finding out that the ingredients changed with a lot of their products and not for the better, along with several lawsuits against this brand. Moving forward, I would choose Carol’s Daughter products over Shea ANY DAY. Buyer Beware! 🚩🚩🚩

I am a man and if I put not hair gel or something on my hair before I go out it dries to a frizz look. I always put some kind of curl cream to stop this and hold curls on top while having smooth sides. Tried this product as an accident at a cousins house on a stayover on a trip.It worked so well and did not have a stiff or hardened feel to it that I got my own and love it and did the research not knowing what Black Castor Oil was and found the change in the oil when the bean is roasted it has an increased content of what is good for the strength and regrowth of the hair follicle. I have been using a jar of it that was made with Shea Butter, Peppermint and Keratin. Now I can only find it with Shea Butter, Peppermint and Apple Cider Vinegar. I used this alongside the same shampoo and conditioner but my hair did NOT like it at all, it became even drier and more tangled. I switched to cantu moisturising shampoo+conditioner+leave-in repair cream, and my hair loved them instead. With continuous use of those however, my curls became very weighed down due to the excessive moisture. That's when I gave the Shea Moisture another go, and my hair went back to normal. I now try to balance the moisture in my hair by using both brands intermittently. Please note that this product smells very sweet, which is something that I like.
