Shimano 105 FD-R7000 Front Derailleur Black 34.9mm

Works really well. I has some grinding a couple of time but probably I was more to blame than it.The finish on the spark silver version is not great: already after a few km it was peppered with stone dings, now after 3500 is't more of a snow leopard paint job than a spark silver one... just get the back one if you ride gravel!

Great service and quick delivery. Bought these components to replace older 10 speed Dura-ace groupset. Derailleur installation instructions from Shimano are accurate but a little hard to follow. There are some excellent guides on YouTube.

Not enough silver parts on the silver version.

I bought the braze-on silver version for a retro looking build. The derailleur arrived quickly and undamaged. I followed the fitting instructions on the Shimano website and soon had it working sweetly. The extra cable tension screw on the derailleur is a useful addition. But I think Shimano could have made more effort with the silver version, hence the lost star. Only the tiny outer link plate is silver, the rest of the derailleur is the same as the black version.

Once installed, works as expected

Since the previous R7000 derailleur, the design of the cable clamp has changed, and there is the addition of a plastic cage rubbing panel. The new cable clamp design is tricky to get sorted and the plastic cage rubbing panel will leave you wondering if you installed you're derailleur in the right position and have the limits set at the right point. Aside from the install hurdles, it's a great derailleur, and I can't fault it.

Shimano R7000 105 Front Derailleur

Upgrading from non shimano front dr on an ultegra chainset. The R7000 105 cable handling is different to others I have encountered and I needed to get guidance from u-tube to fit effectively but once done, the cabling is really neat and adjustment is a doddle. In use it is proving to be superb, shifting is perfection itself and comparable to an ultgegra front dr on another bike. It has proved to be outstanding value for money.

Shimano delivers again. Upgraded from 105 5700 and the new 105 is impressive. Install was easy, adjustment was easy, and works great. Now my Cannondale Quick 1 has the full 7000 group from Cambria.As always, Cambria shipping was fast with great communication.

Shimano reliability!

This derailleur are great. The only issue, is when you have a vintage bikes with little clearance between the tire and the frame, the big lever in the derailleur may touch the wheel when you adjust the outside limit. If you have a vintage bike, I recommend the R7000 version.

Works perfectly on vintage steel bike

I bought it to convert my steel vintage bike to a full post modern with full 105 group set. Works perfectly. I had to add a little adapter because the 34mm clamp was still larger of my framset, but then everything went through.
