I have fished several light jigging reels and the Shimano Ocea Jigger reels are the best available at any price. I have the Ocea Jigger 1501 and Ocea Jigger 2001. They are my favorite reels for light to medium saltwater jigging. They are high priced but worth every penny.

I have fished several light jigging reels and the Shimano Ocea Jigger reels are the best available at any price. I have the Ocea Jigger 1501 and Ocea Jigger 2001. They are my favorite reels for light to medium saltwater jigging. They are high priced but worth every penny.
One of the best reel in the market for slow pitch jigging.
Very well made, powerful reel thats easy to palm and has the power and retrieve rate required for Slow Pitching. Its large capacity and 10kg drag help wear down fish hooked at depth, whilst the reversed drag tensioner allows fast adjustments when fish run. Another solid saltwater reel from Shimano.

Strong, fast and reliable. Maybe just a little heavy.
The Shimano brand speaks for itself. Exellent quality, perfectly functioning brake system. Relatively light weight though robust structure.
One of my favorite reels I own. It works so well for jigging. Have caught many jacks on it and blackfins, kings and still waiting to get a golden tile. I love this reel it's so smooth and the drag is amazing. I thought I wouldn't like the handle and would want to change it but the handle is perfect. Nothing needs to be changed. I got 360 yards of 4 strand daiwa jbraid 40lb on it. I have it paired with a Shimano Type J Slow Jig B684 and its the perfect combo.
