This reel is the best in its class hands down! Yes it’s not a Stella but in my opinion just as good! I have this reel in a 5000 and 8000 and the smaller one can handle 100 lb fish all day with no problem. The only 2 big differences between them is 12 bearings instead of 14 and extra seals for dunking in salt water. If you can afford a Saragosa then drop the extra 100 on the twin power you won’t regret it. I throw 3-4 ounce plugs for six hours with my twin power 5000 on a St Croix mojo surf and it never gets tiring. It’s the lightest combo I’ve ever had in my hands and I love it!!!!!

I got the Twin Power TP8000SWBPG and I can tell you that this reel is a TANK! A well-built reel boasting a whopping 62 pounds of drag, there is no reason why you could not land a large triple digit tarpon or a decent size reef shark. I bought this a few weeks ago bought my reel came with scratches and damaged. The reel itself seems to work fine but the amount of money spent on it, I would assume it would come mint condition. Not happy at all.
Really? 4000XG comes with felt drag washers...Everything is fine except the handle and drag washers.1. 4000XG handle is 60mm long with EVA knob vs. 5000XG handle is 65mm long with CI4+ knobso, I upgraded 4000XG handle to 5000XG handle.2. 4000XG has the felt drag washers so I upgraded to the Carbontex drag washers.3. I added O-ring to Handle Screw Cap
