I bought the 3 piece 12 months ago and was a little bit iffy because I know graphite rods paired with braided line are prone to breaking if you don’t know how to cast.. and in no way can I fault this combo. Can easily out cast my buddies with their 15ft fibreglass rods with mono.

Been using rod & reel for over 6 weeks , exceeded my expectations. Was set up right by the helpful BCF staff. Great casting distance . Very happy with the combo
3 piece graphite rod. Shattered after about ten casts. Wasn't even loaded up.Shamano warranty. ??? Warranty email contact on product label gets rejected.Will be call them direct. I would highly recommend not buying a graphite surf rod.The long cast threadline reel, the little use it had, I am looking forward to using it paired to a more suitable rod.
I bought this as I was looking for an outfit for surf and rock fishing. This combo is a well balanced outfit and the reel carries plenty of line and facilitates long casts, particularly if using lures. It also has proved itself bait fishing in the surf. Good value and worth 4.5 stars.
I bought this one 3 weeks ago. I am happy with it, very good reel, balance and convenience rod (3 peices). This combo should be recommended for surf fishing.

The rod is amazing. easy to lug around and a fantastic casting rod. The reel failed on the first fishing trip. I will send it back to see if it gets fixed under warranty. it has a 10 year one. Which is great
Not a bad combo.Thought it was 2 piece but 3.Drag is very quiet though.When fishing with a few rods at night you will need a bell on the tip as missed a few good runs.Also rod peices do not fit deep .If you do good luck getting them out.Other than that it a good combo.
