Perfectly adequate linear pull brake caliper. Good replacement caliper for department store bikes with cheap brakes that are difficult to keep centered. Rear brake works as a front brake and vice versa. Comes with 90 degree noodle, boot, and mounting bolts.

I purchased these along with the matching rear setup and upgraded my wife’s Trek Verve 3. The overall design and quality is higher than the units shipped on the bike and the pads are much larger. These were a direct swap - 30 minutes to replace both front and rear along with adjustments. Cambria prices and quick shipping keep me coming back for parts

Was after some cheap v brake replacements for an old Specialized Crosstrail hybrid. At £30 a set, these are great. Simple to install even for an idiot like me. Was worth buying new cable at a tenner from here too. Make sure youve got proper brake cable clippers if you’re replacing it else you’ve no chance. Instructions all online via a QR code in box. 30 mins & done. For pottering round with my 9 year old, they have more than ample stopping power. Probably would use for serious MTBing but for just getting round the doors they are excellent

Great budget brake option. Strong springs and good cable retention. Two issues though. Firstly, there's no place to hook the excess cable. Even cheap Tektro brakes have a nubbin you can tuck the cable behind. Secondly, the black paint comes off with even the lightest scratch (tightening with a park BT-2 cable stretcher)...in future I think I will only buy silver brakes for this reason alone.Tredz were fast and reasonably priced, so happy to buy from them again.
I bought a single brake to replace the old school caliper that came on a Worksman Port-o-Trike that I've been modifying. Because I put an electric motor on the front wheel, I lost the drum brake leaving my 70 year old speed demon wife with one ineffective brake. This is a heavy trike with to start with, and the battery, motor, and rider probably put it over 300 pounds. The old brake had a dangerously long stopping distance. This vee brake will nearly throw you over the handlebars when applied aggressively, and feathers reasonably well. Amazing performance at a bargain price and considering the job it is asked to do. Had Teltro V brakes on my bike. The front brake used to squeek often. Changed it to Shimano Alivio and the noise went off completely. I feel that the Shimano brakes are more stiffer than Tketro brakes. I have paired the calipers with Kool Stop brake pads, which are equally good as disc brakes. It given ample stopping even in heavy raining conditions.
Bought these to replace the no-name v-brakes on one of my 90s mountain bikes. They're well made and they work like rim brakes should. What more do you want? Just pay attention that you're getting the front or rear version of the brake -- Shimano specifies a slight difference between them.
For the price, these are excellent brakes. They're fairly stiff, the pads included with the brakes grip very well too. The arms hardly needed any adjustment to pull evenly on the rims and they pull smoothly wit little effort. The only concerns I have are that the return spring comes off fairly easily on one of the arms. I haven't had it come off while riding, but anytime I unhook the brakes from the noodle, one spring pops off nearly every time. Nothing I'm really worried about though. The other thing I noticed is that there is a slight play between the brake arm and the bolt mount even when it's securely tightened. It's not very much and it doesn't seem to affect braking during use. Just another little thing to note if you're OCD like me.
