Already had the last model stradic 1000 which I loved and the new model is even better, silky smooth and better casting with the larger diameter spool on my new 2000.

Stradics are amazing reels for the money, very smooth and durable
A 1K body with a 2K spool make this evolution of the Stradic an even better reel. Nothing at this price point comes close to a Stradic for smoothness, reliability and longevity.
outstanding reels for the price, above average quality and performance.

Shimano C3000HG Stradic Spinning Reel 23
The Shimano Stradic 3000HG is a step up in strength and line capacity while keeping the same lightweight feel and smoothness the Stradic is known for. Built with flagship technologies like InfinityCross gearing for long-term durability, InfinityDrive for powerful cranking, and the Anti-Twist Fin for superior line management, this reel is made to handle tough inshore conditions. With 9kg of max drag and a 5.8:1 high-gear ratio delivering 86cm per crank, the 3000HG has the speed for working softbaits and small lures efficiently, while still offering the stopping power needed when bigger snapper, kahawai, or kingfish show up. At just 225g, it balances perfectly on light to medium spin rods — ideal for all-round NZ lure fishing.
