After loosing one of my new rods to a big fish that ripped it out of the boat while my attention was taken up unhooking a fish I had just caught the hook was dangling in the water!I was able to catch huge fish the rod is excellent value for money paired with a 7500SSM penn reel.See the attached photo taken while fighting a big bronze whaler they are unbreakable!

I purchased this rod specifically to catch whiting from the beach at a South Gippsland location. Great rod, good feel, weight is excellent. Ideal for shore casting in waders for bream and flathead. the extra length enables a further cast. Load action is great for lifting fish into the landing net. I matched this rod up with a Shimano Catana reel: 1000 spinning reel. This combo is the perfect weight and balance. The set up was intended for lure fishing. Bream being the target species... but the rod can also handle the odd bycatch such as flathead.
