My bike came with Shimano drivetrain, but KMC chain. Not a dealbreaker or anything, but shifts are just that much crispier with the Shimano chain. To me it’s a noticeable difference and worth the upgrade. Came with a quick link, too.

Run shimano, buy a shimano chain - Good enough for everyone and doesn't break the bank. The 126 link is enough for a full sus bike, it also includes a split link, and is pre-oiled.
Excellent chain , gear changing less noisy and more precise. I always change the chain in the Spring...saves buying a new cassette.
It’s always good to have a back-up chain.I carry quick links, but eventually will need a replacement chain — so why not get it now. Once your away from civilization, good luck finding one.

I was experiencing a brutally annoying clicking while pedaling. My current chain was a year old with over 600 miles on it. It's now shifting fast and smooth with zero clicks.
fitted to my E-bike after given correct info on which chain to buy by Canyonfits a treat and testedused park tool pliers to remove and replace chainappears to be strong enough for E-bike
shifts well , looks ok , should last ok (I use squirt ebike chain wax) , cheaper than xt , in the past , I wouldn't touch a Shimano chain , but since they've gone from that snap off pin design to quick links , they're pretty good. would buy again.
