Ever since I got my first Curado 70, I've been a Curado guy. I own both the 200K and the previous edition, the 200I. The K is a significant upgrade -- it feels smoother and more powerful, casts farther, and it's built smaller. The K also has the upgraded braking system, which is easier to use. One of the best reels on the market, especially at its price point.

I got this reel for medium to large swimbaits. The gear ratio is perfect for them. For being a 300 size reel it isn’t too big. I barely have to adjust my grip switching from a 150 size reel to this reel. I definitely recommend this reel for swimbaits or even A-rigs.
I bought this reel to throw big swimbaits in the 1-6oz range and it’s perfect for that. Tosses them a mile and has no problem working these oversized baits.
This reel is hard to backlash. I don't know why, and that doesn't bother me a bit. I usually use about 3/8 of an ounce. Casts a long way and just seems to automatically slow the spool as the lure approaches the water. I can throw this thing really accurately, and I'm a relative newb.
It’s a Shimano Curado so it’s smooth reeling and hopefully built to last many fishing trips. Reasonable price for an all around reel for bass or Musky.
Starting off, I am not an experienced angler when it comes to baitcasters. Having said that, I was pleasantly surprised at how smooth this reel works and the ease of making adjustments to accomodate different lures (weights). Shimano makes quality gear and this reel is no exception. My one disappointment is that the drag isn't that heavy. My second trip out with this reel, I caught 4 Peacock Bass and 2 bucket mouths. All in all, very satisfied with my purchase.
These things are freaking tanks! I have a few of these reels and I put them to the test quite frequently. I have tried other brands and in casting reels nothing compares to Shimano. The retrieve and anti reverse on these are primo. The looks resemble that of an Italian super car. These things are built to last. I have a few older ones and the only thing thats ever happened is that the little plastic piece on the button fell off. This is okay because there is still a button beneath that it's just not as smooth. Im thinking about getting the Curado DC, as I didn't like. my SLX DC as much as my normal Curados.
I bought the 300k in the 4.7:1 for slow rolling bigger swimbaits for striped bass. Cast really well and super palmable reel. Does not have a 300 size feel to it.
