Shimano Fishing Vanford Fa Spinning Reel Silver 2500
The Shimano Vanford is one of Shimano's most sensitive spinning reels and is perfect for a wide range of fishing styles. The Vanford is already a true legend. With 14 different options, the popular mid-range reel can be used for almost any fishing. The Vanford is part of the Magnumlite Series and pushes the boundaries of lightweight technology and technique. It delivers remarkable finesse that you can really feel and will certainly appreciate. With an elegant appearance, the Vanford fits under almost any Shimano spinning rod. However, the true beauty of this reel lies in the way it feels and performs. As a member of the Magnumlite series, the lightweight Vanford combines superior sensitivity with power to cope with the toughest situations. Combined with your rod, you will immediately discover the fine balance that allows you to fish with more finesse. Pair it with a specialist finesse rod such as a Zodias Super Sensitive or a YASEI LTD and you’ll instantly experience the optimum balance, making your fishing better and more comfortable, taking your enjoyment to a level you never thought possible. The Vanford’s sensitivity is partly down to the second generation Magnumlite rotor, which, along with the body, is constructed from Shimano’s exclusive Ci4+ composite material. It’s also the reason the reel feels so light in the hand. The Vanford also features Shimano’s advanced Duracross drag system, which delivers exceptional, precise control when playing hard-fighting fish. For hassle-free line management, the Anti-Twist Fin regulates the pressure on the line passing through the roller on the spool and is particularly useful when fishing slack techniques such as twitchbait.

This Reel is money! The feel and smoothness is top of the line. It is light and durable, a tough reel. I have been using this reel in the 2500 and 3000 models since they were released. I and a wade guide in Pennsylvania and use these reels a bunch on the rivers I set them down on the ground they get dunked and dirty so far, I haven't had to replace any parts just routine maintenance. If you are looking for the best reel at this price range this is it, I highly recommend this reel.

They didn’t need to upgrade the Vanford, but the changes they made are excellent. Looks a little better than the previous gen and feels stronger and lighter in hand! Makes a day of casting jigging raps, and Vibes more enjoyable.

The Shimano Syncopate FG spinning reel is a great bass, trout and steelhead reel. The 2500 size is perfect for 6-8 pound line or 8-15 pound braid. When wearing gloves in early spring or winter the Trigger on this reel makes it easy to grab the line to cast. I have owned at least 30 of these "cheap" reels over the years.
Purchased this real during cyber Monday and I have to say it is all that its advertised to be. I attached it to a 8ft calico jack hurricane rod and my first catch was a 11 inch mangrove snapper. This lil reel has great torque. Quite happy with my cyber Monday purchase of this procyon.
Great service on a product that was out of stock at Bass Pro/Cabelas. This is a solid reel for the price, and I like Shimano's Quick Fire system. I do not use the Syncopate for heavy casting, I use it for my minnow rod. I started using this inexpensive reel on my minnow rods because every once in a while a northern pike nails my minnow and takes the combo in the blink of an eye while I'm casting from the other side of the boat.
This really really out preformed what i thought it would do and the lite weight of it is mind blowing. As with all shimano reels its incredibly smooth with a great drag that can handle any size fish.
Bought this as soon as the early release hit store with high anticipation and it has greatly exceeded even my high expectations. Truly a game changer in the finesse range and a must have for anyone looking to flick lures regularly.
I used the Daiwa Procyon AL 2000 on a recent vacation and it performed as advertised and expected. I have traditionally used Shimano spinning reels, but have Daiwa bait casting reels, which prompted me to give this a go. With 14 lb. braid, I was able to cast a country mile and the retrieve was super smooth – like driving a luxury car! The only complaint I had was during some of the retrieves, the super line was wrapping on the lower part of the spool rather than ON the spool itself, but I think it was due to windy conditions and the super line having too much slack. Otherwise, it was extremely comfortable in the hand and worked very well. The drag was very smooth and handled fish as expected. I would definitely purchase another when the time comes to replace an ... MoreI used the Daiwa Procyon AL 2000 on a recent vacation and it performed as advertised and expected. I would definitely purchase another when the time comes to replace an older reel. As others have stated, it's a little pricey for a spinning reel, but not compared to higher-end models. So for me I look at it as a great investment that should last me many years on the water.
