The Shimano FX series of reels cannot be beat for value and quality. Very smooth action. I have a 1000 reel, a 2500 reel, and a 4000 reel. I use the two smaller ones for light fishing. They are my go-to reels for bream and whiting fishing. I would definitely buy them again.
